Rightline Gear 110930 User manual

1-Clean the vehicle’s hatch of all dirt and debris and
open it.
2-Lay the canopy over a at area, logo side facing
downwards.
The correct attachment of this product is critical and
beyond the control of Rightline Gear. The safe use
and long life of this product depends entirely on
your good judgment and following these directions.
Set Up The Steel Poles
1-Fill the rst sand bag to approximately 5” from the top
with sand (Fig 1).
3-Locate the side of a steel pole segment that has a hole
at the same height as the sand bag (Fig 2).

2-Secure the bag’s hook-&-loop closures.
6-Place the opposite end of the gray pole into the other
gray pole pocket.
4-Thread the gray marked pole through the gray pole
sleeve (Fig 12) and insert its end into the gray pole
pocket (Fig 13).
5-Thread the (2) orange marked poles (long poles) through
the orange pole sleeves (Fig 12) and insert their ends into
the orange pole pockets near the canopy’s hatch ap (Fig
14).

4-Connect the sand bag’s center hook-&-loop closures
around the pole segment (Fig 3).
5-Connect the sand bag’s
metal hook to the hole
in the pole segment and
stand the sand bag and
pole segment upright
(Fig 4). Fig 4
6-Roll the top of the sand bag down (2) times and con-
nect the top and bottom hook-&-loop closures around the
pole segment (Fig 5, Fig 6, and Fig 7).

7-Connect the remaining
segments of the steel pole.
Repeat for the second steel
pole and sand bag (Fig 8).

NOTE: WHEN POSITIONING THE STEEL POLES AND SAND
BAGS, PICK UP THE POLES AND SAND BAGS TOGETHER.
DO NOT TRY TO PICK UP ONLY THE STEEL POLES OR
ONLY THE SAND BAGS AS DAMAGE MAY OCCUR.

3-Identify the gray marked pole and (2) orange marked
poles (Fig 9, 10, 11).

10-Position the canopy’s widthwise strap slightly beyond
the edge of your vehicle’s rear hatch door, and tighten
the lengthwise straps to secure (Fig 18).

11-Thread the widthwise strap under the lengthwise
straps, connect the quick release buckle, and tighten the
strap (Fig 19).
12-Place the steel poles and sand bags just in front of
the canopy’s orange triangle corners (Fig 20).

13-Lift the canopy and place the end of the steel poles
into the gray steel pole pockets (Fig 21).
14-Connect the hook-&-loop closures around the steel
poles and connect the metal hooks into the holes in the
poles (Fig 22).

15-Adjust the poles so they are standing straight up and
tie off the strap’s loose ends (Fig 23).
WARNING: KEEP ALL FLAME AND HEAT SOURCES AWAY
FROM THIS CANOPY FABRIC
This canopy is made of ame-resistant fabric. It is not reproof.
The fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with a ame
source. The following precautions should be taken when using:
• Do not use candles, matches or open ames of any kind in or
near the canopy.
• Do not cook directly underneath the canopy.
• Build campres downwind and several meters away from the
canopy and be sure to fully extinguish campres before leav-
ing a campsite or before retiring for the night.
• Exercise extreme caution when using fuel-powered lanterns
or heaters underneath the canopy and use battery-operated
lanterns whenever possible.
• Do not refuel lamps, heaters or stoves underneath the canopy.
• Extinguish or turn off all lanterns before going to sleep.
• Do not smoke underneath the canopy.
• Do not store ammable liquids underneath the canopy.

• This canopy meets the ammability requirements of CPAI-84.
The application of any foreign substance to the fabric may
render the ame-resistant properties ineffective.
• In order to prolong its useful life, clean and dry the canopy
before storing.
• Clean the canopy by hand using warm water and mild soap
if necessary.
• Do not drive while the canopy is set up in the back of the SUV.

Cette canopée est fabriquée d’un tissu ré-sistant au feu, mais qui
n’est pas in-inammable. Ce tissu brûlera s’il est laissé en contact
continu avec une source d’inammation. Les précautions suivantes
doivent être prises lors de l’utilisation:
• Ne jamais utiliser de bougies, d’allumettes, ni aucune autre
amme nue à l’intérieur ou à proximité de la canopée.
• Ne pas faire de cuisson à l’intérieur de la canopée.
• Faire les feux de camp à plusieurs mètres de la canopée, du
côté autre que celui d’où soufe le vent; s’assurer de toujours
bien éteindre les feux de camp avant de quitter le terrain ou
de se coucher.
• Être extrêmement prudent lorsque des lanternes ou des appa-
reils de chauffage à combustible sont utilisés à l’intérieur de la
canopée et se servir au-tant que possible de lanternes à piles.
• Ne jamais remplir le réservoir des lampes, des appareils de
chauffage ou des poêles à l’intérieur de la canopée.
• Éteindre toutes les lanternes avant de se coucher.
• Ne pas fumer à l’intérieur de la canopée.
• Ne jamais ranger des liquides inam-mables à l’intérieur de la
canopée.

9-Thread the lengthwise straps through the gap between
the vehicle’s rear hatch door and roof. Connect their
quick release buckles (Fig 17).

8-Flip the canopy over and place its hatch ap over the
vehicle’s open hatch (Fig 16).

7-Place the opposite ends of the orange poles into the
other orange pole pockets (Fig 15).
