Recovery Disc Instructions for the Producer III Embedded
Producer III Embedded Recovery Disc
Instructions (Everest Printer)
This is an emergency system recovery process and should be used to recover the system’s
default configuration.
-Important: Ensure there are no other embedded Rimage AutoLoaders named
RimageProducer3 actively running on the network.
Note: If this unit is not attached to a network, a monitor, mouse and keyboard must be
connected to the back of the embedded unit.
1. With the unit powered on:
a. Insert the Recovery Disc in the recorder tray marked Drive 1 (top drive).
b. Press and hold the PC power button on the front of the unit until the unit powers off.
c. Press the PC power button again to power on the unit.
2. The application starts automatically and recovery begins.
3. When the operator panel displays REMOVE DISC THEN REBOOT SYSTEM (approximately
10 minutes):
a. Remove the recovery disc from the recorder tray.
b. Press and hold the PC power button until the unit powers off.
c. Press the PC power button again to power on the unit. The system initializes.
4. Watch the operator panel for the prompt: REMOTE LOGON TO: RIMAGEPRODUCER3
(approximately 5 minutes).
5. Continue the recovery:
•If the unit is attached to a network, log on to the system using Remote Desktop
Connection on a separate computer.
Note: See the Rimage Advanced Setup Guide for instructions on accessing the
Remote Desktop Connection.

User Name: Administrator
Password: password
Note: The Password is case sensitive.
Domain: leave blank
•If the unit is not attached to a network, continue the recovery process using the attached
monitor, mouse and keyboard.
6. The Found New Hardware Wizard for the Everest III printer drive displays:
a. Select Install the software automatically (Recommended).
b. Select Next.
c. Select Finish when the installation is complete.
7. From the desktop, select Restart found on the computer desktop. A system shutdown
message displays.
8. When the system has fully initialized, log on to the system. Refer to step 5 for log on
information.
Note: You cannot log on until the system initializes. This may take several minutes.
9. Change the computer name (optional). See the Rimage Advanced Setup Guide for
instructions.
