PC Setup
1. Obtain a computer that meets
the PC specifications. Refer to the
specifications on the website.
2. Install the FireWire® card.
3. Install any required cache hard drive(s).
4. Format cache drives as Basic Disk
with NTFS.
5. Power off the PC.

Printer Preparation
If unfamiliar with adding hardware to your PC,
ask your Network Administrator for help or
refer to your PC’s documentation.
Pull front panel off.
Install supply bin.

Install Printer and Connect Cables
Connect power
cord to printer. Connect USB cable to printer.
Connect USB
cable to PC.
Connect the other
end of the serial
cable to the to PC
and tighten the
thumb screws.
Key
to the
left.
Key to the top.
Place printer
on autoloader.
Connect the serial cable to the autoloader
and tighten the thumb screws.
Connect the round cable
to the autoloader with the
key facing to the left.
Connect the other end of the round cable
to the printer.

Complete Cabling Connections
Connect the FireWire to the autoloader.
Connect the
FireWire
to the PC.
Connect the AC power cord to the autoloader and wall outlet.

Install Printer Driver
Power on the autoloader before
powering on the PC.
Power on the PC.
When the “Found New Hardware Wizard”
displays, select Cancel.
Place the Software Suite disc
in CD-ROM drive and close
drawer.
If the Rimage Producer
Software installation starts,
Cancel the process.
Select Windows Start and select Run.
Browse to select \Printer Drivers\Everest2\Setup.exe
from the CD-ROM drive and select OK.
Follow the prompts and select a
USB port for the Everest II printer.

Install Producer Software Suite
Go to the Software Getting Started Guide
to record your first disc.
Browse to select Setup.exe from the
CD-ROM drive.
D:\Setup.exe
Answer prompts to complete
software installation.
