Rio S50 Rechargeable Battery
The NiMH battery will lose its capability to charge if it is left
in a ischarge state for an exten e perio of time. Please
recharge the battery immediately when the player prompts
you to o so. The battery can be recharge in an external
battery charger if it will not o so in the player. If you nee
to replace the NiMH battery, please visit our e-store at
http://www.sonicblue.com.
Follo These Steps If You Wish To Use The
RealOne Soft are For WMA Encoding And
Playback
1. From within the RealOne software, select “Check For
Up ate” on the Tools menu.
2. RealOne will connect to the AutoUp ate System via the
Internet.
3. Click the Devices tab in the left column on the AutoUp ate
win ow.
4. Select the check box by your Rio player’s mo el number. A
ialog box isplays.
5. Click the “Install” button. The plugin will begin
ownloa ing to your computer. When the ownloa is
complete, a ialog box isplays, asking if you wish to
restart your computer.
6. Click the “Yes” button to restart your computer an
complete the installation.

Installation Instructions For Microsoft Windo s XP Users
If you are installing the Rio player on Microsoft Win ows
XP, you will encounter the following message:
We suggest that you choose the “Continue Anyway” button on this message, to complete
the installation of the Rio player. The reason for this message is that Microsoft requires river
certification on all Win ows XP operating systems. The Rio player has not yet complete the
Win ows river certification process, but has been through extensive testing on Microsoft
operating systems. Please note that SONICblue is in the process of officially certifying the
