Safety Precautions
General
The 4G IoT Wireless Gatewaygeneratesradiofrequency(RF) power.Whenusingthe gateway, care mustbe
taken on safety issues related toRF interference as well as regulations of RFequipment.
Do not use your4G IoT Wireless Gatewayinaircraft, hospitals, petrol stationsorin placeswhere using cellular
productsis prohibited.
Be sure that the gatewaywill not be interferingwithnearby equipment. Forexample:pacemakersormedical
equipment.The antennaof the 4G IoT WirelessGateway should be awayfromcomputers, office equipment,
home appliance, etc.
An external antennamustbe connected tothe 4G IoT WirelessGateway forproperoperation. Onlyuses
approved antennawiththe gateway. Please contactauthorized distributoronfindinganapproved antenna.
Always keep the antennawithminimumsafety distanceof 20 cm or more fromhuman body. Do not put the
antenna inside metallicbox, containers, etc.

Note: Some airlines may permit the use of cellular phones while the aircraft is on the ground and the door is open. 4G
IoT Wireless Gateway may be used at this time.
Usingthe 4G IoT Wireless GatewayinVehicle
Checkfor any regulation orlaw authorizingthe use of cellulardevices invehicle in yourcountrybefore installing
the 4G IoT WirelessGateway.
The driveror operatorof any vehicle shouldnot operate the 4GIoT Wireless Gatewaywhile driving.
Install the gatewayby qualifiedpersonnel. Consult yourvehicle distributorforany possible interference of
electronicpartsbythe 4G IoT WirelessGateway.
The 4G IoT Wireless Gateway should be connected to the vehicle’s supply system by using a fuse-protected
terminal in the vehicle’s fuse box.
Be careful when the 4G IoT Wireless Gateway is powered by the vehicle’s main battery. The battery may be
drainedafterextendedperiod.
