INTENDED USE
The JetStream Pro Lateral Pads are designed to assist
in maintaining functional posture, as well as promote stability.
JetStream Pro Lateral Pads are designed to be used only with the
JetStream Pro Adjustable Back Replacement System.
The Pads come in Large (Swing Away or Stationary) and Ac-
tive (Stationary only) sizes. The Pads consist of aluminum hardware
covered by foam and a removable nylon cover, and attach to the
Lateral Bracket. Each Pad size is compatible with any size Lateral
Bracket.
Large Swing Away Pads are designed for users who need
both trunk support for stability, and a removal of the supports for
transfers. Large Stationary Pads are designed for users who need
moderate external support for trunk stability. Active Pads are
designed for users who need some lateral trunk support for stability,
with potential to progress beyond the need of lateral support.
The Lateral Brackets come in a Standard size (separate
left and right brackets) to fit Standard JetStream Pro Adjustable
Back Replacement Systems and a Low size to fit Low JetStream Pro
Adjustable Back Replacement Systems. The Lateral Brackets mount
directly to the inside of the Carbon Fiber Shell using existing back
post mounting hardware holes and bolt pattern.

• THIS LATERAL PAD OPERATIONS MANUAL IS SUPPLEMENTAL TO AND
DOES NOT REPLACE THE JETSTREAM PRO BACK ATTACHMENT OR ADJUST-
MENT PROCEDURES.
• As with any addition to your wheelchair, the Lateral Pads may affect the
stability of the wheelchair. Consult with your clinician.
• Check screws, bolts, brackets, and hinges for wear, breakage, and tight-
ness daily. Retighten loose screws following the Attachment Instructions in
this manual. DO NOT continue to use the JetStream Pro Lateral Pads if any
component cannot be tightened or is broken.
• DO NOT attach the JetStream Pro Lateral Pads with the user in the chair.
The JetStream Pro Back must be removed from the wheelchair in order to
install the Lateral Pads.
• Consult your clinician regarding proper positioning of the Lateral Pads.
• DO NOT USE the Lateral Pads with any wheelchair back replacement
system other than a JetStream Pro Adjustable Back Replacement System.
• DO NOT use if user is over 250 lbs. (113.4 kg).
• DO NOT use for heavy duty applications or if user is high-tone.
• DO NOT use the Lateral Pads to transfer in or out of the wheelchair. The
Lateral Brackets are not designed to support the full body weight of the
user.
• DO NOT use the Lateral Pads to lift your wheelchair.
• Protect the Lateral Pads from blunt force shocks that may cause dam-
age and/or breakage.
• Altering the Lateral Pads may affect performance and will void the war-
ranty.
• Only use hardware supplied with the Lateral Pads and JetStream Pro
Back. If replacement parts are needed, please contact your ROHO provider.
• DO NOT USE the JetStream Pro Lateral Pads near an ozone generator, as
the ozone generator may deteriorate the foam pad and other materials,
and void your warranty.

understanding this manual. If you need assistance contact your clinician,
ROHO provider, or The ROHO Group.

PARTS DETAIL
A. Lateral Bracket - Comes in Standard (left or right) and Low
sizes. Attaches Pad to inside of Carbon Fiber Shell.
B. M6 x 20 mm screws - Used to attach Lateral Bracket to carbon
fiber shell. Qty. 2 per Lateral Bracket.
C. Washers - Used to attach Lateral Bracket to carbon fiber shell.
Qty. 2 per Lateral Bracket.
D. Nuts - Used to attach Lateral Bracket to carbon fiber shell.
Qty. 2 per Lateral Bracket.
E. M5 x 10mm screws - Used to attach Pad to Lateral Bracket.
Qty. 2 per Lateral Pad.
F. Pad - Comes in Large (Stationary or Swing Away) and Active
(Stationary only) sizes. Provides positioning and support for user.
G. Cover - Fits over the Pad.
Tools Needed for Assembly (Not Included):
3 mm, 4 mm, & 5 mm Allen wrenches. 10 mm wrench.

ATTACHMENT & ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Notes:
• Before installation, remove existing JetStream Pro Back, leaving the Bracket Clamps
in place on the wheelchair back posts. Note existing height, depth and angle orientation
before removing the Carbon Fiber Back.
• Install Lateral Pads before the JetStream Pro Back is installed on wheelchair.
• After Lateral Pads are installed but before Lateral Pad height, width and angle
adjustments are made, install and adjust the JetStream Pro Back following the
instructions in the JetStream Pro Manual.
• Left and right side designations are from the end user’s point of view when
sitting in chair.
• Be sure that Standard Lateral Brackets are attached to the correct side of the
Carbon Fiber Shell.
INSTALL - LATERAL BRACKET
STEP 1. Remove both screws (M6 x 16mm) that secure the Adjustable Bracket to the
Carbon Fiber Shell using a 5mm Allen wrench and a 10mm wrench.
NOTE: If spacer falls out during the removal of the original screws, be sure to replace the
spacer before continuing with installation.
STEP 2. Line up slots on Lateral Bracket (part A) and Adjustable Bracket (Lateral Bracket
on inside of Carbon Fiber Shell, and Adjustable Bracket on outside). Insert both screws (M6
x 20mm) (part B) with flat washers (part C) and nuts (part D) and hand tighten each.
NOTE: Reuse flat washer when attaching Lateral Bracket.
STEP 3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for opposite side bracket.
INSTALL - PAD
STEP 1. With the cover (part G) opening facing outward, insert both screws (M5 x 10mm)
(part E) into the Lateral Bracket (part A) and tighten each with 3mm Allen wrench.
NOTE: All Pads (part F) can be used on the left or right side. Pad (part F) attaches to the
outside of Lateral Bracket (part A).

PAD / COVER REMOVAL
STEP 1. Loosen each screw (M5 x 10mm)
(part E) from Lateral Bracket (part A) using
3mm Allen wrench.
STEP 2. Remove each screw (M5 x 10mm)
(part E) and Pad (part F).
STEP 3. Repeat steps 1-2 for opposite side.
STEP 4. On the side opposite of the bracket, pull
the cover (part G) over the edge of the foam & remove cover.
NOTE: Use 3mm Allen wrench.
ATTACHMENT & ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS
PAD HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
STEP 1. Remove each screw (M5 x 10mm)
(part E) and move Pad (part F) up or down to
achieve desired height/location.
STEP 2. Reinstall and tighten each screw
(M5 x 10mm (part E).
NOTE: Use 3mm Allen wrench. Total
overall height adjustment- 1 1/2” (3.8cm)
PAD WIDTH ADJUSTMENT
STEP 1. To adjust overall width, loosen each
screw (M6 x 20mm) (part B), and slide Lateral
Bracket (part A) in or out to achieve desired
width.
NOTE: Use 4mm Allen wrench. Total overall
width adjustment- 1” (2.5 cm)
PAD ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
STEP 1. To adjust the Lateral Pad angle to
better fit the user’s torso, loosen each screw
(M6 x 20mm) (part B) and slide the Lateral
Bracket (part A) top and bottom (in opposite
directions) to achieve desired angle.
NOTE: Use 4mm Allen wrench. Low Lateral Pads
have approx. 40° of overall adjustment. Standard
Lateral Pads have approx. 16° of overall adjustment.
SWING AWAY PAD FUNCTION
STEP 1. Press the swing away hinge in and
push the Pad (part F) back .
STEP 2. Pull the Pad (part F) inward until the
hinge clicks.

CLEANING & DISINFECTING
Cleaning and Disinfecting are two separate processes. To be effective, cleaning must
precede disinfecting.
Cleaning the Cover: Remove the cover by following instructions on the Attach-
ment & Adjustment Instructions Page. Machine wash in hot water. No bleach.
Tumble dry low.
Cleaning the Brackets and Hardware: Using a soft cloth, hand wash the brackets
and hardware with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thorougly. Towel dry with a
soft cloth.
Cleaning the Foam: Using a soft cloth, hand wash the foam with mild soap and
warm water. Allow foam to air dry thoroughly.
Note: DO NOT attempt to remove the foam from the metal bracket.
Disinfecting all parts: Wipe gently with a household disinfectant dampened
cloth. Air dry thoroughly.
MAINTENANCE
Check screws, bolts, brackets, and hinges for wear, breakage, and tightness daily.
Re-tighten loose screws following the Attachment Instructions in this manual.
DO NOT continue to use the JetStream Pro Lateral Pads if any component cannot
be tightened or is broken. ROHO recommends that you have your JetStream Pro
Lateral Pads thoroughly inspected by a qualified technician every six months, or
as necessary.
DISPOSAL
When properly used and disposed, none of the components of your JetStream Pro
Lateral Pads will present an environmental hazard. Dispose of the product and/
or components in accordance with the applicable regulations in your country.
