documento. Questo manuale d’uso riporta le informazioni aggiuntive richieste per l’uso specico dello strumento.
USO CORRETTO
• Questo utensile è progettato per essere utilizzato come levigatrice. I modelli HSE73 e HSS73 sono levigatrici orbitali, il modello
HSR73 è una levigatrice rotorbitale. Questo utensile non è destinato all’uso per operazioni di spazzolatura, lucidatura e taglio
dei metalli. L’uso di questo strumento per applicazioni improprie può causare pericoli e lesioni alle persone.
• Lo strumento deve essere utilizzato con gli accessori specificamente progettati o consigliati dal produttore. Il semplice
fissaggio degli accessori allo strumento non garantisce un funzionamento sicuro.
• La velocità nominale degli accessori deve essere almeno pari alla velocità massima specificata sullo strumento. L’uso degli
accessori a velocità superiore a quella nominale può causarne la rottura o far sì che essi vengano scagliati in aria.
• Il diametro esterno e lo spessore degli accessori devono corrispondere alle caratteristiche dello strumento. Accessori con
dimensioni errate possono non essere protetti o controllati adeguatamente.
• La configurazione degli accessori deve combaciare con lo strumento. L’uso di accessori che non possono essere perfettamente
installati sull’utensile può causare squilibri, vibrazioni eccessive e l’impossibilità di controllare lo strumento.
• Non utilizzare accessori danneggiati. Prima dell’uso, ispezionare tutti gli accessori. Controllare i tamponi di supporto
e verificare non vi siano rotture, strappi o usura eccessiva. Se lo strumento o l’accessorio è caduto, verificare che
non sia danneggiato o installare un nuovo accessorio. Dopo l’ispezione o l’installazione di un accessorio, verificare il
funzionamento dell’utensile alla massima velocità e senza carico per un minuto, mantenendo una distanza di sicurezza.
Nel caso in cui gli accessori siano danneggiati, si romperanno durante questa prova.

PARTI DELLO STRUMENTO
AVVIOATTENZIONE: Per ridurre il rischio di lesioni, utilizzare unicamente il gruppo batteria a ioni di litio 9HB180LT (5) o
l’alimentazione 9HP180LT (6) per l’alimentazione del motore di questo prodotto.
Dal momento che le batterie diverse da quelle offerte da Rupes non sono state testate con questo prodotto, l’uso di tali batterie con
questo strumento potrebbe causare lesioni e danni materiali.
MAGNETI
AVVERTENZA: i magneti generano un forte campo magnetico di vasta portata.
Possono danneggiare televisori e laptop, dischi ssi dei computer, carte di credito e carte elettroniche, supporti di dati, orologi
meccanici, apparecchi acustici e altoparlanti. Tenere i magneti lontano da tutti i dispositivi e dagli oggetti che potrebbero essere
danneggiati da forti campi magnetici.
AVVERTENZA: contiene magneti. I magneti possono inuenzare il funzionamento dei pacemaker e i debrillatori
impiantati. Tutti coloro che hanno un pacemaker devono evitare di entrare in contatto con l’utensile. Evitare i
danni del pacemaker.
- Un pacemaker potrebbe passare in modalità di prova e causare malori.
- Un debrillatore potrebbe smettere di funzionare.
- Se si indossano questi dispositivi, mantenere una distanza sufciente dai magneti.
- Avvertire coloro che indossano questi dispositivi di non avvicinarsi troppo ai magneti.

GRUPPO BATTERIA (IN DOTAZIONE OD OPZIONALE)
ATTENZIONE: Per la vostra sicurezza personale, LEGGERE e COMPRENDERE il manuale di istruzioni del
caricatore 9HC180LT prima dell’uso.
ATTENZIONE: Evitare il corto circuito dei contatti. Evitare danni meccanici del gruppo batteria. Non aprire o smontare.
Seguire le indicazioni sulla protezione contro incendi ed esplosioni. Tenere lontano da amme libere, superci calde
e sorgenti di ignizione.
Una temperatura superiore a 45°C riduce le prestazioni della batteria. Evitare l’esposizione prolungata a fonti di calore o alla luce solare
diretta. Conservare a temperatura ambiente (circa. 20°C) e al 20~60% circa della capacità nominale. Ogni sei mesi di magazzinaggio,
caricare la batteria come di consueto.
Uso previsto
Il gruppo batteria 9HB180LT (5) viene utilizzato come fonte di alimentazione per l’utensile RUPES HSE73 - HSR73 - HSS73.

ATTENZIONE: per i dati tecnici consultare l’etichetta del gruppo batteria 9HB180LT.
ATTENZIONE: per ridurre il rischio di lesioni o di esplosione, non bruciare né incenerire mai il gruppo batteria di uno
strumento, anche nel caso in cui sia danneggiato, inattivo o completamente scarico. La sua combustione crea fumi
e materiali tossici.
ASSEMBLARE E SMONTARE IL GRUPPO BATTERIA
ATTENZIONE: Prima di assemblare (o smontare) lo strumento assicurarsi che la manopola per la regolazione della
velocità (2) si trovi in posizione OFF.
Per assemblare il gruppo batteria, premere il pulsante e inserire il gruppo batteria nell’utensile nché non è bloccato.
Per smontare, spingere la clip ed estrarre la batteria dall’utensile.
CARICARE IL GRUPPO BATTERIA
ATTENZIONE: Per la vostra sicurezza personale, LEGGERE e COMPRENDERE il manuale di istruzioni del
caricatore 9HC180LT prima dell’uso.
ATTENZIONE: caricare il gruppo batteria a ioni di litio 18V Rupes 9HB180LT unicamente nel caricatore per batterie al
litio 18V Rupes 9HC180LT. Altri tipi di batterie potrebbero causare lesioni personali e danni materiali. Il gruppo batteria
di questo strumento e il relativo carica batterie non sono compatibili con i sistemi NiCd o NiMH.
Il gruppo(i) batteria contenuto nel kit dev’essere caricato prima dell’uso. La batteria in dotazione ha una carica pari a <30%. Per caricarla,
collegare la batteria agli ioni di litio al caricatore 9HC180LT no a quando la carica è completa. Caricate la batteria del vostro strumento
quando lo ritenete opportuno per voi e per il vostro lavoro. Il gruppo batteria non sviluppa “memoria” quando viene caricato dopo uno
scaricamento solo parziale. Non è necessario scaricare il gruppo batteria dello strumento prima di collegarlo al caricabatterie. Utilizzare
l’indicatore di livello led del gruppo batteria 9HB180LT per determinare quando caricare il gruppo batteria Rupes.

ALIMENTATORE (IN DOTAZIONE OD OPZIONALE)
ATTENZIONE: Per la vostra sicurezza personale, LEGGERE e COMPRENDERE il manuale di istruzioni
dell’alimentatore 9HP180LT prima dell’uso.
ATTENZIONE: La tensione e la frequenza devono corrispondere ai dati riportati sulla targhetta identicativa
dell’alimentatore 9HP180LT. Controllare che l’utensile sia spento prima di collegare la spina.
ASSEMBLARE E SMONTARE L’ALIMENTATORE
ATTENZIONE: Prima di assemblare (o smontare) lo strumento assicurarsi che la manopola per la regolazione della
velocità (2) si trovi in posizione OFF.
Per assemblare l’alimentatore, premere il pulsante e inserire l’alimentatore nell’utensile nché non è bloccato.
Per smontare, spingere la clip ed estrarre l’alimentatore dall’utensile.
AVVIAMENTO E ARRESTO
Avviamento: ruotare la manopola di regolazione della velocità (2) e impostare la velocità; a questo punto avviare l’utensile premendo
la leva dell’interruttore START/STOP (3). I giri/min possono essere regolati ruotando la rotella di regolazione della velocità (2).
Arresto: rilasciare la leva per arrestare l’utensile; ruotare la manopola di regolazione della velocità no alla posizione 0 e l’utensile è
ora spento.
ATTENZIONE: nel caso in cui si verichino vibrazioni anomale dopo l’avviamento dello strumento, spegnere
immediatamente quest’ultimo ed eliminare l’anomalia.
ATTENZIONE: Per ridurre il rischio di ferimento, ruotare la manopola no alla posizione di OFF (posizione 0) dopo
ogni utilizzo.
CONTROLLORE ELETTRONICO
Avvio Soft
L’avvio soft è controllato elettricamente. L’avvio soft garantisce la protezione del motore e della batteria e riduce il rischio di lesioni per
l’operatore.
Controllo della velocità
La velocità dello strumento può essere modicata ruotando la manopola di regolazione della velocità (2) sull’impostazione desiderata.
La manopola di regolazione della velocità (2) può essere impostata su qualunque velocità compresa tra 7000 e 11000 giri/min.
Protezioni dell’utensile
La protezione elettronica serve per proteggere il prodotto da eventi differenti che possono danneggiarlo e creare il rischio di ferimento
per l’operatore. Inoltre garantisce una maggiore durata.
AVVISO: in caso di sovracorrente causata da ripetute accensioni o da sovraccarichi eccessivi, la protezione limita il consumo
del prodotto e riduce i giri/min. Se la condizione persiste, la protezione elettronica spegnerà il prodotto.
ASSEMBLAGGIO E SMONTAGGIO DEGLI ACCESSORI
ATTENZIONE: Prima di assemblare (o smontare) lo strumento assicurarsi che la manopola per la regolazione della
velocità (2) si trovi in posizione OFF (posizione 0).
AVVISO: Per prestazioni ottimali del prodotto usare soltanto accessori e ricambi originali.
Disco di levigatura
- Posizionare il disco di levigatura (9) al centro;
- Stringere la vite di ssaggio del disco di levigatura (7). (Fig. 1)
- Per lo smontaggio svitare le viti di ssaggio del disco (7).
AVVISO: Il montaggio di dischi non originali o di dimensioni errate può causare vibrazioni eccessive dell’utensile.
Carta abrasiva
- La carta abrasiva usata può essere rimossa semplicemente strappandola;
- Applicare la nuova carta abrasiva premendola sul disco (9), assicurandosi che i fori sulla carta coincidano con i fori di aspirazione
del disco.
AVVISO: è consentito l'uso di sole carte abrasive in velcro con fori per l’aspirazione della polvere.
ASPIRAZIONE DELLE POLVERI
ATTENZIONE: La polvere può essere pericolosa per la salute. Lavorare sempre con un aspiratore di polvere.
Leggere sempre le normative nazionali applicabili prima di aspirare polveri pericolose.
ESTRAZIONE INTEGRATA
- Per garantire un’aspirazione ottimale della polvere svuotare per tempo il ltro conico (8), pulendo accuratamente il portaltro
(8a) e regolarmente la cartuccia (8b);
- Durante i lavori sulle superci verticali posizionare la macchina in modo che il ltro conico sia rivolto verso il basso.
- Montaggio ltro conico: posizionare il ltro conico (8) sul raccordo dell’estrattore (4). Spingere il ltro conico no all’arresto.

- Prova di riempimento del ltro conico: lo stato di riempimento del ltro conico è facilmente controllabile utilizzando il portaltro
trasparente (8.a).
- Pulizia ltro conico: per svuotare il ltro conico, rimuoverlo dal connettore dell’estrattore.
- Sganciare la cartuccia (8b) e toglierla dal portaltro.
- Svuotare il portaltro.
- Pulire le piastre della cartuccia con una spazzola morbida.

- Durante i lavori su superci verticali posizionare la macchina in modo che il tubo di aspirazione sia rivolto verso il basso.
- Montaggio: inserire un tubo di aspirazione sul raccordo dell’estrattore (4) (Fig. 2);
- Collegare il tubo di aspirazione ad un adeguato sistema di aspirazione.

I valori riportati sono confrontabili e devono essere utilizzati per una valutazione preliminare dell’esposizione al rischio dell’utente
durante il periodo di lavoro. La valutazione appropriata del periodo del lavoro deve comprendere anche i periodi di funzionamento al
minimo e di arresto del prodotto. I valori di emissioni si riferiscono alle applicazioni principali del prodotto. Se il prodotto è usato per altre
applicazioni, con altri accessori, o se non è sottoposto a manutenzione regolare, i valori di emissione acustica e i livelli di vibrazione
possono aumentare in modo signicativo durante l’uso.
AVVERTENZA: Le misurazioni indicate si riferiscono a prodotti nuovi. L’uso quotidiano provoca la variazione dei valori di
rumore e vibrazione.
MANUTENZIONE E ASSISTENZA
ATTENZIONE: Tutte le operazioni di manutenzione devono essere svolte con l’alimentazione scollegata.
Controllare che l’alimentatore 9HP180LT o il gruppo batteria 9HB180LT siano stati rimossi dall’utensile e che la manopola
sia nella posizione OFF.
PULIZIA
Al termine di ogni sessione di lavoro, o quando necessario, rimuovere la polvere dal corpo dello strumento con un panno morbido,
prestando particolare attenzione alle fessure di ventilazione del motore.
L’utente non deve effettuare nessun’altra operazione di manutenzione.
RIPARAZIONI
La manutenzione e pulizia delle parti interne, come cuscinetti, ingranaggi, ecc. o altro, devono essere eseguite esclusivamente da un
centro di assistenza clienti autorizzato.
SMALTIMENTO (DIRETTIVA RAEE)
SOLO PER PAESI UE: In base alla Direttiva Europea sullo smaltimento di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche e alla sua
applicazione in conformità alle norme nazionali, i riuti di apparecchiature elettriche devono essere raccolti separatamente, per
essere poi riciclati in modo ecologico. Il prodotto, una volta raggiunta la sua ne vita, non dev’essere disperso nell’ambiente
o gettato via come riuto domestico. Dev’essere smaltito presso i centri di riciclaggio autorizzati (contattare le autorità locali
per sapere dove smaltire il prodotto in conformità alla legge). Il corretto smaltimento del prodotto contribuisce alla salute e alla

CORRECT USAGE
• This tool is designed to be used as a sander. Types HSE73 and HSS73 are orbital sanders, type HSR73 is a random orbit sander.
• This tool is not intended to be used for metal brushing, polishing and cutting operations. The use of this tool for unintended
applications may cause hazards and injuries to people.
• The tool must be used with accessories that have been specifically designed or recommended by the manufacturer. The
fixing of the accessory to the tool does not guarantee a safe operation.
• The rated speed of the accessories must be at least equivalent to the maximum speed specified on the tool. Using the
accessories at speeds above the rated one, may cause them to break or be thrown into the air.
• The external diameter and thickness of the accessories must match the specifications of the tool. Accessories with incorrect
dimensions cannot be adequately protected or controlled.
• The configuration of accessories must match the tool. The use of accessories that cannot be perfectly fitted on the tool may
result in imbalance, excessive vibrations and in the impossibility of controlling the tool.
• Do not use damaged accessories. Before use, inspect all the accessories. Inspect the supporting pads and verify there
are no cracks, tears or excessive wear. If the tool or accessory has fallen, verify that it is not damaged or install a new
accessory. After inspecting or installing an accessory, test the operation of the tool at maximum speed and without load for
one minute, keeping at a safety distance. If the accessories are damaged, they will break during this test.

WARNING: Charge Rupes 18V Li-ION Battery pack 9HB180LT only in the Rupes 18V Li-ION Battery Charger
9HC180LT. Other types of batteries may cause personal injury and damage. This tool’s battery pack and charger
are not compatible with NiCd or NiMH systems.
The battery pack(s) contained in the kit shall be charger before use. The provided battery is charged <30%.
In order to charge, connect the Li-Ion battery with a charging station 9HC180LT till the charging is completed.
Charge your battery tool when convenient for you and your job.
The Rupes Battery pack does not develop “memory” when charged after only a partial discharge.
It is not necessary to run down the battery tool pack before placing it on the charger.
Use the led Battery pack 9HB180LT level indication to determine when to charge the Rupes Battery pack.
PARTS OF THE TOOL
STARTING UP
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, only the 18V Li-ION Battery Pack 9HB180LT (5) or the power supply 9HP180LT
(6) should be used with this product.
Since the batteries, other than those offered by RUPES, have not been tested with this product, use of such batteries with this tool
could cause the injury and property damage.
MAGNETS
WARNING: Magnets produce a far-reaching, strong magnetic eld.
They could damage tvs and laptops, computer hard drives, credit and atm cards, data storage media, mechanical watches,
hearing aids and speakers. Keep magnets away from devices and objects that could be damaged by strong magnetic elds.
WARNING: It contains magnets. Magnets could affect the functioning of pacemakers and implanted heart
debrillators. Please avoid contacts with the tool if you or someone near you has a Pacemaker. Avoid damage
of the Pacemaker.
- A pacemaker could switch into test mode and cause illness.
- A heart debrillator may stop working.
- If you wear these devices keep sufcient distance to magnets.
- Warn others who wear these devices from getting too close to magnets.
Magnets are contained into the ange, into the backing pads and into the DC motor.
BATTERY PACK (PROVIDED OR OPTIONAL)

WARNING: Avoid short circuiting the contacts. Avoid mechanical damage of the battery pack. Do not open or
disassemble. Advice on protection against re and explosion. Keep away from open ames, hot surfaces and sources

Temperature in excess of 45°C reduce the performance of the battery pack. Avoid extended exposure to heat or sunshine. Storage at
room temperature (approx. 20°C) at approx. 20~60% of the nominal capacity. Every six months of storage, charge the battery pack
as normal.

POWER SUPPLY (PROVIDED OR OPTIONAL)

WARNING: Voltage and power frequency must match the data displayed on the identication plate of the 9HP180LT
power supply. Make sure that tool is switched off before plug is connected.
ASSEMBLE AND DISASSEMBLE POWER SUPPLY
WARNING: Before (dis)assembling the tool assure that the speed regulation Knob (2) is in OFF position.
In order to assemble the power supply, push the clip and insert the power supply in the tool till it is xed.
In order to disassemble, push the clip and extract the power supply from the tool.
STARTING AND STOPPING
Starting: Rotate the speed regulation knob (2) and set up the speed; Now the tool can be started by pressing the START/STOP switch
lever (3). The RPM can be adjusted by rotating the speed regulator knob (2).
Stopping: Release the lever for stop the tool; Rotate the speed regulation knob until position 0 and the tool will have turned off.
WARNING: If a case of unusual vibration is present after a start of the tool, switch-off the tool immediately and
eliminate the fault.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, turn the knob until OFF position (position 0) after any use.
ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER
Soft start
The soft start is electronically controlled. The soft start guarantees the motor and battery protection and reduces the risk of injury
for the operator.
Speed control
The speed of the tool can be changed by rotating the speed regulation knob (2) to the desired setting.
The speed regulation knob can be set speed for any speed between 7000 and 11000 RPM.
Tool Protections
The electronic protection protects the tool from different events that can damage the tool and create a risk of injury for the
operator. It also guarantees a longer life.
NOTICE: in a case of overcurrent or overheating caused by repeated starts or excessive overloads, the protection limits the
tool power consumption and reduce RPM. If the condition continues, the electronic protection turns off the tool.
ACCESSORIES ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY
WARNING: Before (dis)assembling the tool assure that the speed regulation knob (2) is in OFF position (0
position).
NOTICE: For have the optimal tool performance use only original accessories and consumables.
Sanding Pad
- Place the sanding pad (9) in the center;
- Tighten the sanding pad xing screw (7). (Fig. 1)
- For disassembly: Unscrew pad’s mounting screws (7).
NOTICE: Fitting non-original or incorrect sized backing pads may cause excessive vibration of the tool.
Abrasive Paper
- Used abrasive paper can be removed by simply tearing them off;
- Apply the new abrasive paper by pressing the same on the sanding pad (9), and making sure that the holes on the paper
coincide with suction holes of the pad.
NOTICE: Only Velcro abrasive paper with dust extraction holes is allowed.
DUST EXTRACTION
WARNING: Dust can be hazardous to health. Always work with a dust extractor. Always read applicable nation
regulations before extracting hazardous dust.
INTEGRATED EXTRACTION
- To guarantee optimal extraction of the powder empty the conical lter (8) in time, accurately cleaning the lter holder (8a) and
regularly cleaning the cartridge (8b);
- During works on the vertical surfaces, position the machine so the conical lter is turned downwards.
- Conical lter assembly: position the conical lter (8) on the extractor connector (4). Push the conical lter until it stops. (Fig. 2)
- Conical lter lling testing: the lling status of the conical lter is easily controlled using the transparent lter holder (8.a).
- Conical lter cleaning: to empty the conical lter, remove it from the extractor connector;
- Release the cartridge (8b) and release it from the lter holder;
- Empty the lter holder;
- Clean the cartridge plates with a soft brush.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
WARNING: All maintenance operation must be performed with the power disconnected.

CLEANING
At the end of each work session, or when required, remove any dust from the body of the tool using a soft cloth, paying particular
attention to the motor ventilation slots.
No other maintenance operations must be undertaken by the user.
REPAIRS
Maintenance and cleaning of the inner parts like ball bearings, gears etc. or others, must be carried out only by an authorized
customer service workshop.

implementation in conformity with national standards, exhausted electrical equipment must be collected separately, in order

DÉMARRAGE
AVERTISSEMENT: pour réduire le risque de blessure, seule la batterie Li-ION 18V 9HB180LT (5) ou l’alimentation
9HP180LT (6) doit être utilisé avec ce produit.
En effet, les batteries, autres que celles proposées par RUPES, n’ont pas été testées avec ce produit. L’utilisation de telles batteries
avec cet outil pourrait causer des blessures et des dommages matériels.
AIMANTS
AVERTISSEMENT: Les aimants produisent un champ magnétique puissant et de grande portée. Ils peuvent
endommager les téléviseurs et les ordinateurs portables, les disques durs des ordinateurs, les cartes de crédit et les
guichets automatiques, les supports de stockage de données, les montres mécaniques, les appareils auditifs et les
haut-parleurs. Tenez les aimants à l’écart des dispositifs et des objets susceptibles d’être endommagés par des champs
magnétiques puissants.
AVERTISSEMENT : Présence d’aimants. Les aimants peuvent affecter le fonctionnement des pacemaker et des
débrillateurs cardiaques implantés. Évitez les contacts avec l’outil si vous ou un de vos proches portez un

ALIMENTATION (FOURNIE OU EN OPTION)

AVERTISSEMENT: la tension et la fréquence d’alimentation doivent correspondre aux données afchées sur la

ASSEMBLAGE ET DÉMONTAGE DE L’ALIMENTATION
AVERTISSEMENT: Avant d’assembler ou de démonter l’outil, vérier que le bouton de réglage de la vitesse (2)
est sur OFF.
Pour assembler l’alimentation, pousser le clip et insérer l’alimentation dans l’outil jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit xée.

DÉMARRAGE ET ARRÊT
Démarrage: tourner le bouton de réglage de la vitesse (2) et régler la vitesse. L’outil peut maintenant être démarré en appuyant sur le
levier de l’interrupteur START/STOP (3). Le tr/min peut être ajusté en tournant le bouton du régulateur de vitesse (2).
Arrêt: relâcher le levier pour arrêter l’outil. Tourner le bouton de réglage de la vitesse jusqu’à la position 0 pour arrêter l’outil.
AVERTISSEMENT: si un cas de vibration inhabituelle est présent après un démarrage de l’outil, éteindre
immédiatement l’outil et éliminer l’anomalie.
AVERTISSEMENT: pour réduire les risques de blessure, tourner le bouton jusqu’à la position OFF (position 0)
après toute utilisation.
CONTRÔLEUR ÉLECTRONIQUE
Démarrage progressif
Le démarrage progressif est contrôlé électroniquement. Le démarrage progressif garantit la protection du moteur et de la batterie et
réduit les risques de blessures pour l’opérateur.
Contrôle de la vitesse
La vitesse de l’outil peut être modiée en tournant le bouton de réglage de la vitesse (2) sur le réglage souhaité.
Le bouton de réglage de la vitesse peut être réglé sur n’importe quelle vitesse entre 7000 et 11000 tr/min.
Protections de l’outil
La protection électronique protège l’outil de différents événements pouvant endommager l’outil et créant un risque de blessure pour
l’opérateur. Il garantit également une durée de vie plus longue.
ATTENTION: en cas de surintensité ou de surchauffe causée par des démarrages répétés ou des surcharges excessives, la
protection limite la consommation électrique de l’outil et réduit les tr/min. Si la condition persiste, la protection électronique
éteint l’outil.
ASSEMBLAGE ET DÉMONTAGE DES ACCESSOIRES
AVERTISSEMENT: avant d’assembler ou de démonter l’outil, vérier que le bouton de réglage de la vitesse (2)
est sur OFF (position 0).
ATTENTION: pour des performances optimales de l’outil, utiliser uniquement des accessoires et des consommables d’origine.
Patin de ponçage
- Placez le patin de ponçage (9) au centre ;
- Serrez la vis de xation du patin de ponçage (7). (Fig. 1)
- Pour démonter : Dévissez les vis de xation du patin (7).
REMARQUE: L’installation de patins non originaux ou de taille incorrecte peut provoquer des vibrations excessives de l’outil.
Papier abrasif
- Le papier abrasif usagé peut être retiré en le déchirant ;
- Appliquez le nouveau papier abrasif en le pressant sur le patin de ponçage (9), et en s’assurant que les trous sur le papier
coïncident avec les trous d’aspiration du patin.
REMARQUE: Seuls les papiers abrasifs Velcro avec des trous d’extraction de poussière sont autorisés.
EXTRACTION DE POUSSIÈRE
AVERTISSEMENT: La poussière peut être dangereuse pour la santé. Travaillez toujours avec un dépoussiéreur. Veuillez
toujours lire les réglementations en vigueur dans le pays d’installation avant d’extraire les poussières dangereuses.
EXTRACTION INTÉGRÉE
- Pour garantir une extraction optimale de la poudre, videz le ltre conique (8) régulièrement, nettoyez avec précision le porte-
ltre (8a) et nettoyez régulièrement la cartouche (8b);
- Lors de travaux sur les surfaces verticales, positionnez la machine de façon à ce que le ltre conique soit tourné vers le bas;
- Ensemble ltre conique : positionnez le ltre conique (8) sur le connecteur de l’extracteur (4). Poussez le ltre conique jusqu’à
ce qu’il s’arrête. (Fig. 2);

MAINTENANCE ET ENTRETIEN

KORREKTE VERWENDUNG
• Dieses Werkzeug ist für die Verwendung als Exzenterschleifer vorgesehen. Die Typen HSE73 und HSS73 sind
Schwingschleifer, Typ HSR73 ist ein Exzenterschleifer.
• Dieses Werkzeug ist nicht zum Metallbürsten, Polieren und Schneiden konzipiert. Die Verwendung dieses Werkzeugs für nicht
bestimmungsgemäße Anwendungen kann zu Gefährdungen und Verletzungen von Personen führen.
• Das Gerät darf nur mit dem vom Hersteller speziell entwickelten oder empfohlenen Zubehör verwendet werden. Die
Befestigung des Zubehörs am Werkzeug garantiert keinen sicheren Betrieb.
• Die Nenndrehzahl des Zubehörs muss mindestens der auf dem Werkzeug angegebenen maximalen Drehzahl entsprechen.
Die Verwendung von Zubehör mit höheren Drehzahlen als der Nenndrehzahl kann dazu führen, dass es brechen oder in die Luft

Da andere als die von RUPES angebotenen Akkus nicht mit diesem Produkt getestet wurden, kann die Verwendung solcher
Akkus mit diesem Gerät zu Verletzungen und Sachschäden führen.
MAGNETE
WARNUNG: Magnete erzeugen ein weitreichendes, starkes Magnetfeld.
Sie könnten Fernseher und Laptops, Computerfestplatten, Kredit- und Geldautomatenkarten, Datenträger, mechanische
Uhren, Hörgeräte und Lautsprecher beschädigen. Halten Sie Magnete von Geräten und Gegenständen fern, die durch starke
Magnetfelder beschädigt werden könnten.

MONTAGE UND DEMONTAGE DES AKKUPACKS

Um den Akkupack zu montieren, drücken Sie den Clip und führen Sie den Akkupack in das Werkzeug ein, bis er einrastet.
Zur Demontage drücken Sie den Clip und ziehen den Akku aus dem Gerät.
AUFLADEN DES AKKUPACKS
WARNUNG: Zu Ihrer persönlichen Sicherheit sollten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung der Ladestation
9HC180LT vor der Verwendung LESEN und VERSTEHEN.
WARNUNG: Laden Sie den Rupes 18V Li-ION-Akkupack 9HB180LT nur im Rupes 18V Li-ION-Akkuladegerät
9HC180LT. Andere Akkutypen können zu Verletzungen und Schäden führen. Der Akkupack und das Ladegerät
dieses Werkzeugs sind nicht mit NiCd- oder NiMH-Systemen kompatibel.
Der/die im Lieferumfang enthaltene(n) Akkupack(s) muss/müssen vor der Verwendung aufgeladen werden. Der mitgelieferte
Akku ist <30% geladen.
Verbinden Sie zum Laden den Lithium-Ionen-Akku mit einer Ladestation 9HC180LT, bis der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist.
Laden Sie Ihr Akku-Werkzeug auf, wenn es für Sie und Ihre Arbeit günstig ist.
Am Rupes-Akkupack tritt kein „Memory-Effekt“ auf, wenn er nach einer nur teilweisen Entladung geladen wird.
Es ist nicht notwendig, den Akkupack zu entladen, bevor er in das Ladegerät eingesetzt wird.

NETZTEIL (MITGELIEFERT ODER OPTIONAL)

WARNUNG: Spannung und Netzfrequenz müssen mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Netzteils 9HP180LT
übereinstimmen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie den Stecker anschließen.
MONTAGE UND DEMONTAGE DES NETZTEILS
WARNUNG: Vergewissern Sie sich vor der (De-)Montage des Werkzeugs, dass der Drehzahlregelungsknopf (2)
in der Position OFF steht.
Um das Netzteil zu montieren, drücken Sie den Clip und führen Sie das Netzteil in das Werkzeug ein, bis es einrastet.
Zur Demontage drücken Sie den Clip und ziehen das Netzteil aus dem Gerät.
STARTEN UND STOPPEN
Starten: Drehen Sie den Drehzahlregelungsknopf (2) und stellen Sie die Drehzahl ein, danach kann das Werkzeug durch Drücken
des START/STOP-Schalthebels (3) gestartet werden. Die Drehzahl kann durch Drehen des Drehzahlregelungsknopfs (2) eingestellt
werden.
Stoppen: Lassen Sie den Hebel los, um das Werkzeug zu stoppen; drehen Sie den Drehzahlregelungsknopf bis zur Position 0 und
das Werkzeug ist ausgeschaltet.
WARNUNG: Wenn nach einem Start des Werkzeugs ein Fall von ungewöhnlichen Vibrationen auftritt, schalten
Sie das Werkzeug sofort ab und beheben Sie die Störung.
WARNUNG: Zur Verringerung der Verletzungsgefahr drehen Sie den Drehzahlregelungsknopf nach jedem
Gebrauch in die Position OFF (Position 0).
ELEKTRONISCHE REGELUNG
Sanftanlauf
Der Sanftanlauf wird elektronisch gesteuert. Der Sanftanlauf gewährleistet den Schutz von Motor und Akku und reduziert die
Verletzungsgefahr für den Bediener.
Drehzahlregelung
Die Drehzahl des Werkzeugs kann durch Drehen des Drehzahlregelungsknopfs (2) auf die gewünschte Einstellung verändert werden.
Der Drehzahlregelungsknopf kann auf eine beliebige Drehzahl zwischen 7000 und 11000 U/min eingestellt werden.
Werkzeugschutz
Die Verletzungsgefahr für den Bediener darstellen können. Außerdem verlängert er die Lebensdauer.
HINWEIS: Im Falle eines Überstroms oder einer Überhitzung durch wiederholte Starts oder übermäßige Überlastungen
begrenzt der Schutz die Leistungsaufnahme des Werkzeugs und verringert die Drehzahl. Wenn der Zustand anhält, schaltet
der elektronische Schutz das Werkzeug ab.
MONTAGE UND DEMONTAGE DES ZUBEHÖRS
WARNUNG: Vergewissern Sie sich vor der (De-)Montage des Werkzeugs, dass der Drehzahlregelungsknopf (2)
in der Position OFF (Position 0) steht.
HINWEIS: Verwenden Sie für eine optimale Werkzeugleistung nur Originalzubehör und -verbrauchsmaterial.
Schleifteller
- Setzen Sie den Schleifteller (9) in die Mitte;
- Ziehen Sie die Befestigungsschraube (7) des Schleiftellers fest. (Abb. 1)
- Zur Demontage: Lösen Sie die Befestigungsschrauben (7) des Schleiftellers ab.
HINWEIS: Die Montage von nicht originalen oder falsch dimensionierten Schleiftellern kann zu übermäßigen Vibrationen des
Werkzeugs führen.
Schleifpapier
- Verbrauchtes Schleifpapier kann durch einfaches Abreißen entfernt werden;
- Bringen Sie das neue Schleifpapier an, indem Sie es auf den Schleifteller (9) drücken, und achten Sie darauf, dass die Löcher
auf dem Papier mit den Löchern des Schleiftellers übereinstimmen.
HINWEIS: Es ist nur Klett-Schleifpapier mit Staubabsauglöchern erlaubt.
STAUBABSAUGUNG
WARNUNG: Staub kann gesundheitsgefährdend sein. Arbeiten Sie immer mit einer Staubabsaugung. Lesen Sie
immer die geltenden nationalen Vorschriften, bevor Sie gefährliche Stäube absaugen.
INTEGRIERTE ABSAUGUNG
- Zur Gewährleistung einer optimalen Staubabsaugung entleeren Sie den konischen Filter (8) rechtzeitig, wobei der Filterhalter
(8a) sorgfältig zu reinigen ist, und säubern Sie die Patrone (8b) regelmäßig;
- Bei Arbeiten an vertikalen Flächen ist die Maschine so zu positionieren, dass der konische Filter nach unten gerichtet ist.
- Montage des konischen Filters: Setzen Sie den konischen Filter (8) auf den Absaugstutzen (4).Drücken Sie den konischen
Filter bis zum Anschlag. (Abb. 2)
- Prüfung der Füllung des konischen Filters: Der Füllzustand des konischen Filters kann mit Hilfe des transparenten Filterhalters
(8.a) leicht kontrolliert werden.
- Reinigung des konischen Filters: Um den konischen Filter zu entleeren, entfernen Sie ihn vom Absaugstutzen;
- Lösen Sie die Patrone (8b) und nehmen Sie sie aus dem Filterhalter;
- Entleeren Sie den Filterhalter;
- Reinigen Sie die Patronenplatten mit einer weichen Bürste.

EXTERNE ABSAUGUNG
- Bei vertikalen Flächenarbeiten ist die Maschine so positionieren, dass der Absaugschlauch nach unten gerichtet ist.
- Montage: Stecken Sie einen Absaugschlauch auf den Absaugstutzen (4) (Abb. 2);
- Schließen Sie den Absaugschlauch an ein geeignetes Absaugsystem an.

USO CORRECTO
• Esta herramienta está diseñada para usarse como lijadora. Los tipos HSE73 y HSS73 son lijadoras orbitales, el tipo HSR73 es
una lijadora excéntrica.
• Esta herramienta no está destinada a operaciones de cepillado, pulido y corte de metal. El uso de esta herramienta para
aplicaciones no previstas puede causar riesgos y lesiones a las personas.
• La herramienta debe utilizarse con accesorios que hayan sido especícamente diseñados o recomendados por el
fabricante. La jación del accesorio a la herramienta no garantiza un funcionamiento seguro.
• La velocidad nominal de los accesorios debe ser al menos equivalente a la velocidad máxima especicada en la herramienta.
El uso de los accesorios a velocidades superiores a la nominal puede causar su rotura o que salgan despedidos por el aire.
• El diámetro exterior y el grosor de los accesorios deben coincidir con las especicaciones de la herramienta. Los accesorios
con dimensiones incorrectas no pueden ser adecuadamente protegidos o controlados.
• La conguración de los accesorios debe coincidir con la herramienta. El uso de accesorios que no se pueden acoplar
perfectamente a la herramienta puede provocar desequilibrio, vibraciones excesivas e imposibilidad de controlar la herramienta.
• No utilice accesorios dañados. Antes del uso, revise todos los accesorios. Inspeccione los platos de apoyo y verique que
no haya grietas, desgarros o un desgaste excesivo. Si la herramienta o el accesorio se han caído, compruebe que no esté
dañado/a o instale un nuevo accesorio. Después de inspeccionar o instalar un accesorio, compruebe el funcionamiento de
la herramienta a la velocidad máxima y sin carga durante un minuto, manteniéndose a una distancia de seguridad. Si los
accesorios están dañados, se romperán durante esta prueba.

PUESTA EN MARCHA
ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones, solo se debe utilizar el conjunto de batería de iones de litio de
18V 9HB180LT (5) o la fuente de alimentación 9HP180LT (6) con este producto.
Dado que las baterías distintas de las que ofrece RUPES no se han probado con este producto, el uso de tales baterías con esta
herramienta podría causar lesiones y daños materiales.
IMANES
ADVERTENCIA: Los imanes producen un campo magnético fuerte y de gran alcance.
Podrían dañar televisores y ordenadores portátiles, discos duros de ordenadores, tarjetas de crédito y cajeros automáticos,
medios de almacenamiento de datos, relojes mecánicos, audífonos y altavoces. Mantenga los imanes alejados de dispositivos
y objetos que podrían dañarse con fuertes campos magnéticos.
ADVERTENCIA: Contiene imanes. Los imanes podrían afectar el funcionamiento de marcapasos y
desbriladores cardíacos implantados. Evite el contacto con la herramienta si usted o alguien cerca de usted
tiene un marcapasos. Evite dañar el marcapasos.
- Un marcapasos podría cambiarse a modo de prueba y causar una enfermedad.
- Un desbrilador cardíaco puede dejar de funcionar.
- Si usted utiliza estos dispositivos, mantenga una distancia suciente a los imanes.
- Advierta a los demás que usen estos dispositivos para que no se acerquen demasiado a los imanes.
Los imanes están contenidos en la brida en las almohadillas de respaldo y en el motor de CC.
CONJUNTO DE BATERÍA (INCLUIDO U OPCIONAL)
ADVERTENCIA: Para su seguridad personal, LEA y COMPRENDA el manual de instrucciones del conjunto
de batería 9HB180LT antes de usarlo.
ADVERTENCIA: Evite cortocircuitar los contactos. Evite daños mecánicos al conjunto de batería. No abrir o
desmontar. Indicaciones para la protección contra incendio y explosión. Mantener alejado de llamas abiertas,
supercies calientes y fuentes de ignición.
Una temperatura superior a 45°C reduce el rendimiento del conjunto de batería. Evite la exposición prolongada al calor o al
sol. Guardar a temperatura ambiente (aprox. 20°C) a alrededor del 20~60% de la capacidad nominal. Cada seis meses de
almacenamiento, cargue el conjunto de batería de la manera habitual.

El conjunto de batería 9HB180LT (5) se utiliza como fuente de alimentación para RUPES HSE73 - HSR73 - HSS73.

MONTAJE Y DESMONTAJE DEL CONJUNTO DE BATERÍA
ADVERTENCIA: Antes de (des)montar la herramienta, asegúrese de que la rueda de ajuste de la velocidad (2) esté en
posición OFF.
Para montar el conjunto de batería, presione el clip e inserte el conjunto de batería en la herramienta hasta que quede jo.
Para desmontar, presione el clip y extraiga la batería de la herramienta.
CARGA DEL CONJUNTO DE BATERÍA
ADVERTENCIA: Para su seguridad personal, LEA y COMPRENDA el manual de instrucciones de la estación de
carga 9HC180LT antes de usarla.
ADVERTENCIA: Cargue el conjunto de batería de iones de litio de 18V 9HB180LT solo en el cargador Rupes de baterías
de iones de litio de 18 V 9HC180LT. Otros tipos de baterías pueden causar lesiones y daños. El conjunto de batería y
el cargador de esta herramienta no son compatibles con sistemas NiCd o NiMH.
El/los conjunto/s de batería incluido/s en el kit deben cargarse antes de su uso. La batería proporcionada tiene una carga del <30%.
Para cargar, conecte la batería de iones de litio a una estación de carga 9HC180LT hasta que se complete la carga.
Cargue la batería cuando sea conveniente para usted y su trabajo.
El conjunto de batería Rupes no desarrolla “memoria” cuando se carga después de solo una descarga parcial.
No es necesario agotar el conjunto de batería antes de colocarlo en el cargador.
Utilice la indicación led de nivel del conjunto de batería 9HB180LT para determinar cuándo cargar el conjunto de batería Rupes.
