CAUTION:
DISCONNECT YOUR VEHICLE'S NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL BEFORE THE INSTALLA-
TION TO HELP PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF A VOLT/
OHM METER OVER A TEST LIGHT TO CHECK WIRING. A TEST LIGHT OR GROUNDED WIRE
PROBE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE'S COMPUTER AND/OR DIAGNOSTIC
SYSTEMS. AVOID ALL FACTORY AIR BAG WIRING - AIR BAGS CAN ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOY
CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
NOTES:

•Read all instructions accompanying your car stereo/cassette player for proper wiring and mounting
instructions.
INTRODUCTION / PRELIMINARY

A. ATTACHING THE REAR
BRACKET:
Align the two (2) screw
emboss locations to the
matching locations on
pocket. When aligned, slide
the bracket together. Screw
the two (2) supplied screws
to screw emboss locations
B. ATTACHING THE POCKET:
Align the pocket to the snaps
of kit panel. Snap the pocket
into place on the back of kit
panel.
RADIO REMOVAL
1. Move shifter into drive position.
2. Using Allen key, remove screw from front of shifter. Remove shifter.
3. Using panel removal tool, pop out shifter bezel. Disconnect and remove.
4. Using panel removal tool, pop out the key switch surrounding ring.
5. Using panel removal tool, pop out side trims that extend on the left and right side of radio and AC
controls.
6. Extract four (4) Phillip head screws from radio, disconnect and remove.

NOTE: Before mounting the CR1284 Kit Panel to the factory dash, you must custom modify the
dash cavity. Located on the bottom area of the dash cavity is a pair of plastic rear supports.You
must cut/remove the rear supports to ensure the kit panel’s pocket will not interfere with the dash
cavity. If you do not cut/remove, the kit panel will not fit.
