INTRODUCTION/ PRELIMINARY
This premium installation kit is for 2015-UP Ford Mustang vehicles with single/dual zone manual climate controls (dash
modification required). Included are all the parts you need to mount your aftermarket car stereo or CD player into you vehicle's
dash. Refer to individual instructions in this manual to remove your vehicle's factory radio and assemble the kit.
CAUTION: DISCONNECT YOUR VEHICLES NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL BEFORE THE INSTALLATION TO HELP
PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. WE RECOMEND THE USE OF A VOLT/ OHM METER OVER A TEST LIGHTTO CHECK
WIRING. A TEST OR GROUNDED WIRE PROBE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE'S COMPUTER AND/OR
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. AVOID ALL FACTORY AIRBAG WIRING · AIRBAGS CAN ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOY CAUSING
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH .

INSTALLATION GUIDE RAD/0D/SASSEMBLY
STEP 1 RADIO DISASSEMBLY
Image A: Remove the two (passenger and driver
side) knee panels on the lower console.
Image B: After removing the knee panels, Remove
two exposed screws
STEP 2 RADIO DISASSEMBLY
Image A: Using a panel removal tool, carefully re-
move the tray located below the USB and 12V socket
ports, then remove and reta in two screws exposed .
Image B: Lift and slightly pullback the center
console, but do not remove .
STEP a RADIO DISASSEMBLY
Using a panel removal tool, carefully remove the
air-vent trim surrounding the ver:its, temps, and boost
control gauge; unplug and remove.
STEP 4 RADIO DISASSEMBLY
Unclip and remove the plastic plate located
in-between the USB plug-in and the
cigarette lighter .

STIP ' RADIO DISASSEMBLY
Remove the four screws securing the OEM panel to
the dash; then unplug and remove the panel (see
image on the right) .
ITIP 6 RADIO DISASSEMBLY
Remove the OEM display and the CD receiver by
unscrewing t he four screws for each component (8
screws total, circled) . Next, unplug all wiring and
remove (see image on the left) .
INSTALLATION GUIDE Dash Modification
CAUTION: Major modification required for double DIN Installation, proceed with caution.
STEP 7 Dash Modification
Carefully cut and remove the highlighted
dashed area on the sub - dash frame to create
space for the double DIN radio .
File down the slight ridge areas highlighted
and noted on the image locate on the ri ght.
NOTE: Only file down necessary amount to
give the UAC a flush fit.

STEP 8 Panel Preparation
Remove fifteen (15) screws and the 12V socket located
behind the OEM climate control'panel and retain for later
installation; then remove the PCB board back cover.
NOTE: The amount of screws may vary with vehicle model.
Retain the 12V socket from the OEM panel and place it on
the aftermarket panel.
STEP 9 Panel Preparation
Remove the seven screws securing the PCB board to the
panel; then remove from panel.
NOTE: The amount of screws may vary with vehicle model.

Lift and remove the plastic CD insert slot away from its
general location.

STEP 11 Panel Preparation
Lift and remove the drive train/ ignition controls
and rubber pad from the OEM panel and retain for
later install.
NOTE: Remove rubber and plastics blocking pieces
needed in-order to remove the ignition controls
(See image on the right).

STIP 12 Panel Preparation
Place the three orfour button drive-train/
ignition control trim (777 6/ 7777) into the face
panel (Based on vehicle model type).
NOTE : Image image of panel on right is ba s ed on three button.
STEP 1S Panel Preparation
Place the OEM drive - train/ ignition control buttons
(retained in Step 11) into the trim from Step 12 .
Next, place the three provided PCB spacers indicated
by arrows on top of button controls.
STEP 14 Panel Preparation
Place the rubber pad from the OEM
drive-train controls onto the back of the
buttons being caut i ous not to knock over
the spacers placed on previous step .
NOTE: 4- Button displayed, follow same
procedure for 3- button
STEP 15 Panel Preparation .
Carefully align the circuit board over the rubber
pad, then continue to the next step.

Place the back cover plate over the PCB and secure it
using six screws retained in disassembly.
NOTE: Use the screws attained from the OEM PCB
cover plate.

1. Prepare SWC steering wheel connector harness by using the chart below
2. Connect the harness to the interface module.
3. For Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Panasonic and Sony car stereos, connect the 3.5mm male steering plug into the steering wheel
input jack at the back of the stereo.
4. For Kenwood and newer JVC stereos, connect the BROWN wire from the steering wheel harness to the •Remote in• wire
at the back of the stereo.

The Scosche Touch Screen Interface replaces the Factory climate, convenience and personalization controls built into the Factory
Ford Radio/Dash panel. This solution provides improved ergonomics while adding touch screen capabilities unique to th is
system. Read the following sections to familiarize yourself with the operating controls and settings .

1. Press the Power Button (Fig.3, #1) to toggle the climate controls On or Off.
2. Press the Air Conditioning Button (Fig. 3, 12) to turn the Air Conditioning On or Off.A li ght will illuminate in the
button indicating the on/off status of the A/C.
MAX*
3. Press the recirculation button (Fig. 3, 13) to turn on air recirculation .A light will il luminate in the button indicating
the on/off status of the Recirculate mode. Interior air will be re-circulated inside the vehicle. This mode helps to
quickly cool the air inside the vehicle or prevent outside air and odors from entering. Operating recirculation mode
[while theA/C is off] increases humidity and may cause the windows to fog . Recirculation is not available in the
Defrost or Defog modes.
4. MAAA/C button (Fig. 3, 14) on the colorTFTtouch screen to turn on MaxA/C Maximum cooling will occur with the
temperature is adjusted to lowest cold setting and the Fan speed is set at maximum. MAX A/C is used to cool the car
down as quickly as possible. Touch the Max A/C button again to return to the previous Fan speed and temp setting .
5. To decrease fan speed, press the fan speed DOWN button (Fig. 3, 15) .A graphic level indicator will move down on
the color m screen indicating the current fan speed (Fig. 3, 17) .
6. To increase fan speed, press the fan speed UP button (Fig. 3, 16). A graphic level indicator will move up on the
color m screen indicating the current fan speed (Fig. 3, 17) . There are a total of 7 fan speed i ncrements from off to
maximum.

Use the UP and DOWN arrows (Page 10 Fig.3 #8 & 110) on the color TFT touch screen to adjust vehicle air temperature . Touch the
Red <Up> arrow to increase air temp . Touch the Blue <Down> arrow to decrease air temp. The temperature indicator will move
up or down indicat i ng the current temperature level. The temperature range is color - coded : Red indicates warmer air and Bl ue
indicates cooler air .

1. DRIVER/ 2. PASSENGER HEATED SEAlS
Touch the driver's seat heater button ( Fig.4, #1 & #2) on the color TFT touch screen to turn on the driver's
seat heater. The engine must be running to use heated seats .A Button graphic will show the level of
heat selected (l ow, medium, or high). Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the temperature
settings or to turn the heated seat OFF.
3. Press the Rear window defrost button (Fig. 4, #3) to turn the rear window defogger on or off .Ali ght will
illuminate in the button indicating the on/off status of the Defrost mode. Rear defogger wi ll also be
turned off by turning the ignition to the OFF posit i on .
4. Press the Front Defrost (Fig4, 14) to turn Defrost ON or OFF. This configuration helps clear front
windshield of fog or moisture. Air will be directed to the wi ndshield .A light will i lluminate in the button
indicating the on/off status of the Defrost mode. NOTE: For best results clear the windows of snow
or ice before defrost settings. DO NOT OPERA TE VEHICLE UNTIL WINDOWS ARE CLEAR!
5. Convenient reading of outside temperature . Enter menu settings to configure Celsius or Fahrenheit
6. Press and hold of the Scosche logo until

/nstaller Menu Enabled• is displayed . Installer menu can
be found under vehicle settings . Please refer to chart Installer Menu Chart on page 13.
7. MENU allows the user to configure Vehicle Settings (Installer Menu)
Language settings . Within menu settings the user can also refer to module version for technical refer-
ence . Please refer to Charts on page 13 & 14 for further details.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL: Use the UP and Down arrows on the color TFT touch screen to adjust vehicle air temperature .
Touch the red <Up> arrow to increase the air temp . Touch the Blue <Down> arrow to decrease air temp (Fig . 5, 11 ,3, 9, 11) .
Temperature read i ng will display numeric temperature selected , indicating the rurrent temperature level (Fig. 6, 12 & 10) . The
temperature range is color - coded: Red indicates warmer air and blue indicates cooler air . Ind ivi dually adjust driver/passenger .
AUTO
DUAL
Automatically controls the interior temp. of the vehicle by adjusti ngair- flow distribution and amount Performing this function
wi ll cause the system to switch between manual mode and automatic modes (Fig. 514) .
FAN SPEED CONTROL: To decrease fan speed, press the fan speed DOWN button on the control panel (Fig .5, 15) . On the color TFT
touch screen a graphic level indicator will move down indicating the current fan speed (Fig. 6, 17) . Continue pressing the DOWN
button to tum fan completely off .
To increase fan speed, press the fan speed UP button on the control panel (Fig . 516) . On the co l or TFT touch screen a graphic
level indicator will move up indicating the current fan speed (Fig . 5, 17) . There are a total of 6 fan speed increments from
complete~ off to max i mum .
Press the DUAL button (Fig 5, 18) on the touchscreen to toggle the DUAL feature On/Off . DUAL i nd i cator light will illum i nate
when this feature is enabled . Use DUA L to syn c hronize the passenger temperature setting with the driver temperature setting .
Chang i ng the passenger temp. setting wh il e in DUAL will disable feature .

Touch the vent control mode icons (Fig . 5, 112 on the color TFT touch screen to select vent mode . Graphics are di splayed according to the selected
vent and airflow pattern.

Press the Power Button (Fig.6, t1) to toggle the climate controls On or Off.

Press the Air Conditioning Button (Fig.6, t2) to tum On/Off the air condi t ioner. An ind i cator light will illu minate indicating the
On/Off status of the NC.

MAXQ:
Mt>XA/C button (Fig. 6, #4) on the color TFT touch screen to turn on Max A/C. Maximum cooling will occur with the
temperature is adjusted to lowest cold setting and the Fan speed is set at maximum. Mt>XA/C is used to cool the car
down as quickly as possible. Touch the MaxA/C button again to return to the prev i ous Fan speed and temp setting.
Press the Front Defrost (Fig6, 15) to turn Defrost ON or OFF. This configuration helps clear front windshield
~
of fog or moisture.Air will be directed to the windshield. A light will illuminate in the button indicating the
on/off status of the Defrost mode. NOTE: For best results clear the windows of snow or ice before
defrost settings. DO NOT OPERA TE VEHICLE UNTIL WINDOWS ARE CLEAR!

Press the Rear window defrost button (Fig. 6, 13) to turn the rear w indow defogger on or off. A light wi ll
illuminate in the button indicating the on/off status of the Defrost mode . Rear defogger will also be
turned off by turning the ignition to the OFF position .

Press the My Temp (Fig. 6, #7) personalize and set temperature setting.

Press the CTRL (Fig. 6, #8) to disp la y more control settings see page 14 for contro ls.
