INSTRUCTIONS FOR
PREMIER TROLLEY JACK 2TONNE
MODEL NO: PFJ200
Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard, this product will, if used according to these
instructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS & CAUTIONS. USE
THE PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE AND/OR
PERSONAL INJURY AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS SAFE FOR FUTURE USE.
1. SAFETY
9Ensure the jack is in sound condition and good working order. Take action for immediate repair or replacement of damaged parts.
9Use genuine parts only. The use of improper parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
9Locate the jack in a suitable, well lit working area. Keep working area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials.
9Use jack on level and solid ground, preferably concrete. Avoid tarmacadam as jack may sink in.
9Place wedges under wheels of vehicle, but ensure the jack wheels are free to move and that there are no obstructions.
9Ensure the vehicle handbrake is engaged, engine is switched off and transmission is in gear (or “PARK” if automatic).
9Ensure minimum distance of 0.5m between vehicle and static objects such as doors, walls, etc., to allow for vehicle tilting.
9Ensure there are no passengers in the vehicle and that all non-essential persons keep a safe distance whilst the jack is in use.
9Place jack under lifting points recommended by vehicle manufacturer (see vehicle hand book). Ensure lifting point is stable and centred
on saddle.
▲DANGER: Use the jack for lifting only, NOT for supporting the lifted load.
9Use suitable capacity axle stands under the vehicle before proceeding with any task.
9Ensure there are no persons or obstructions beneath the vehicle before lowering.
8DO NOT operate the jack if damaged.
8DO NOT work under the vehicle until axle stands have been correctly positioned.
8DO NOT exceed the rated capacity of the jack (3.0tonne). When lifting a load of maximum capacity or close to it, it is recommended that
the effort be reduced by the use of assistance during this operation.
8DO NOT adjust the safety overload valve.
8DO NOT jack vehicle if there is a risk of spillage of fuel, battery acid, or other dangerous substances.
8DO NOT allow the vehicle to move while supported by the jack, or use the jack to move the vehicle.
8DO NOT top up hydraulic system with brake fluid. Use hydraulic jack oil only and use a qualified person to maintain jack hydraulic
system.
8DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the jack.
8DO NOT use jack for purposes other than which it is designed.
8DO NOT allow persons to ride on the jack.
When not in use store jack, fully lowered, in a safe, dry, childproof area.
2. INTRODUCTION
Fully portable trolley jack thanks to its patented handle design, which also allows the jack to be stored in a vertical position. Lift-and-twist
dead man’s lowering mechanism operates via ’T’ shaped handle to provide a smooth, controlled lowering of the load and prevent accidental
operation. Nylon wheels for smooth and quiet manoeuvring, also limits damage to garage oors includes removable rubber saddle pad and
built-in tool tray for fasteners and tools. Suitable for workshop use or by the serious motoring enthusiast.

4. ASSEMBLY
4.1. Assemble handle as shown g.1.
4.2. Handle can be lengthened or shortened by depressing button and sliding handle in or out g.2.
4.3. Fold handle by depressing lever g.3.1 and folding forwards hook to front wheel axle g.4
5. OPERATION
5.1. The jack has a mechanical safety device g.5, which acts automatically when reaching lifting height of 320mm.
5.2. To unlock the mechanical safety device lift the jack lightly and open the Release valve as per
point 5.8.
5.3. Prior to operating the jack, remove any accumulated air from the system as follows:
-Insert the handle into the socket and x it with the screw provided.
-Pull the handle and turn it clockwise and, whilst held in this position , pump the jack several times
to ensure internal lubrication and bleed the accumulated air from the system.
5.4. Release the handle and it will automatically return back to the initial position (“Dead man principle”).
The jack is now ready to be used.
Important: Prior to lifting the load, ensure that all of the aforementioned safety instructions are followed.
5.5. The wheel of the jacks should always rotate freely. Chock vehicle g.6.
5.6. For lifting, move the handle up and down using the full stroke range of the piston for greater speed
g.7.
5.7. Secure the lifted load as an essential safety measure with an appropriate axle stand g.8.
5.8. Before lowering, lift the vehicle to remove the axle stands, ensuring that there are no persons or
obstacles
under the vehicle to be lowered. Pull the handle and turn it clockwise g.9.
5.9. Our jacks are tted with a safety device LCS that functions automatically and offers smooth and
uniform lowering.
5.10. Once the vehicle has been lowered release the handle and it will automatically return back to the
initial position.
6. MAINTENANCE
6.1. Maintenance and repair of the jack may only be performed by qualied persons, who have sufcient knowledge of the hydraulic
systems used in these devices as a result of their training and experience.
6.2. Keep the jack clean and lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals, which must be clean and protected from aggressive
conditions at all times.
6.3. Only original spare parts should be used.
6.4. Prior to each use, check for bent, broken, cracked or loose parts and solve the problem, if appropriate. If it is suspected that the jack
has been subjected to abnormal loads or has suffered any knocks, withdraw it from service until the unit has been inspected and any
problem has been rectied.
6.5. If the oil level needs to be checked or relled, with the piston fully retracted, remove the ller plug and drain its contents into
a container. With the jack in a horizontal position, proceed to introduce the necessary volume as indicated for each model in these
instructions. Make sure that no dirt enters with the new oil.
6.6. Following a period of prolonged intensive use, it is recommendable to change the oil in order to extend the useful life of the jack.
6.7. An excess of oil to the volume required may render the jack inoperative.
6.8. Only use hydraulic oil, type HL or HM, with an ISO maximun grade of cinematic viscosity of 30 cST at 40º, or an Engler viscosity of

6.10. Apply an anti-corrosion product to the pistons, if appropriate.
6.11. Keep the jack in a clean, dry place and out of children reach.
