PUTTING INTO OPERATION
In the o state, make all connections as described below. Insert new batteries in the remote control.
Finally, connect the power adapter. Switch the speaker on using the remote control or the power
button on the rear panel. Select the desired input and carefully increase the volume to the required
value. When you have nished listening, turn o the speaker to save power.
Notes: For the best remote control function, do not let either sunlight or intense articial light shine
on the infrared sensor, especially from energy-saving light sources. The speaker is equipped with
a memory of the last selected source, but respects the priorities of forced external source selections,
such as ARC. The rst input after powering on from full o is Bluetooth.

Use one of the methods depending on your TV's equipment.
AMethod 1: Connect the supplied cable to the optical output of the TV and set its audio output to
optical and “PCM” mode.
B Method 2: Connect the supplied cable to the headphone output of the TV, for example.
C Method 3: Connect your own HDMI cable to the TV output, which is labelled ARC (Audio Return
Channel). Turn on the ARC function on the TV and select “PCM” mode.
D Method 4: Connect your own cable to the TV's coaxial digital output and select “PCM” mode.
Remark: According to your TV's instructions, set the audio settings to “PCM”, otherwise the sound will
not come out of the speakers.

a. Press the BT button on the remote control or repeatedly the input button on the rear panel until
the LED indicator ashes blue.
b. turn on your Bluetooth device and let it search for nearby devices.
c. select “SMC-BS30/50” to connect. After pairing, the indicator will ash slowly in blue.
d. turn on the audio in your device, the indicator will light blue.
Note: the speaker transmits some commands from its remote control back to your Bluetooth device
via the Bluetooth channel. It is up to your device to evaluate them and how it processes them. These
are mainly the following buttons: VOL+/VOL-, PLAY/PAUSE, PREV/NEXT

TROUBLESHOOTING
No audio
Make sure your audio source is switched on and emitting a sound signal.
Check that the cables are connected correctly.
Check that the LED indicator is lit in a colour other than bright red.
Carefully increase the volume on the active speaker or remote control.
There is no sound through the Bluetooth connection
Make sure your audio source is switched on and emitting a signal.
Make sure the speaker is switched to Bluetooth input. The LED indicator must be permanently blue.
A fast blink means that no paired device is connected and the speaker is waiting to be paired. A slow
blink appears until pairing is complete or the audio source is not emitting any signal, e.g. by using BT
MUTE (PLAY/PAUSE).
Shorten the distance from the Bluetooth signal source. The maximum usable distance is about 10 m,
depending on the surrounding interference and obstacles. Near the range limit, the sound may be
unstable.
Disconnect the Bluetooth source by pressing and holding the BT button. Reconnect the speaker on
the side of your Bluetooth audio source.
Use another Bluetooth audio source.
Speaker cannot be switched on
Check the mains voltage, the power adapter, its cable and the correct connection of the power
connector.

This product is warranted for the period of 24 months from the date of purchase to the end-user. Warranty is limited
to the following conditions. Warranty is referred only to the customer goods using for common domestic use. The
claim for service can be applied either at dealer’sshop where the product was bought, or at below mentioned
authorized service shops. The end-user is obligated to set up aclaim immediately when the defects appeared but
only till the end of warranty period. The end user is obligated to cooperate to certify the claiming defects. Only
completed and clean (according to hygienic standards) product will be accepted. In case of eligible warranty claim
the warranty period will be prolonged by the period from the date of claim application till the date of taking over
the product by end-user, or the date the end-user is obligated to take it over. To obtain the service under this
warranty, end-user is obligated to certify his claim with duly completed following documents: receipt, certificate of
