Thank you for purchasing the Sharper Image
Heated Physiotherapy Massager. This user’s
manual provides important information for
operation and safety. Please read this manual
carefully and understand it thoroughly before
operation. Keep this manual for future reference.
NOTE: This device is not intended for medical use.
It is intended only to provide a relaxing massage
at home.

HOW TO OPERATE THE HEATED
PHYSIOTHERAPY MASSAGER

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• The temperature increment between 40°C
and 55°C is 5°C. From 56°C to 65°C, the
temperature increment is 1°C.
• This device will be reset to 40°C for the
next use.
• The default time for infrared heat therapy
is 30 minutes. Press the Start/Stop
button on the control panel again if
you need more cycles.
• There is no default time for Vibration
Massage. You can turn Vibration Massage
on or off at any time.
• Infrared Light / Heat therapy and Vibration
Massage are independently controlled.
• For best results, use this device 2 to 3
times per day for 30 minutes each time.
Please read the following safety instructions
carefully before using this massager. If you
suffer from any of the medical conditions
listed below, consult with a doctor before
using this device.
We advise you to consult with your doctor
before using this device if you:
• Suffer from heart disease or a heart
condition.
• Have a sensory disorder or pacemaker
• Suffer from osteoporosis or diabetes
• Are prohibited from exercise by your doctor
• Are pregnant
• Have a malignant tumor or skin allergy
• Are undergoing medical treatment
• Are physically disabled
1. Place the comfort padding cover on the knee.
2. Put the massager on the top of the comfort
padding cover with the control panel
facing up.
3. Adjust the straps until it fits your knee
properly when buckled.
4. For best results, always attach the massager
to the curve of knee as close as possible.
5. Connect the AC power cable to the device
and plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
6. The LED light on control panel will turn
on, and the LED screen will show “--”.
7. To turn on the Infrared Heat function, press
the Start/Stop button once on the control
panel. The Infrared Therapy will start working,
and the LED screen will show 40°C (the
default minimum temperature).
8. Press the UP or DOWN button on the
Control Panel to set your preferred
temperature (maximum of 65°C).
The thermostat-control system will
control the heat level automatically. It will
stop heating when it reaches your preset
temperature and restart heating when
its temperature is lower than your preset
temperature. (Note: the warming lights will
turn on and off during heating).
If you do not want heat therapy, you may
choose to have only infrared light therapy.
Press the DOWN button to reduce the
temperature to its minimum level, and this
device will work with only infrared
light therapy.
9. To turn off the Infrared Heat function, press
Start/Stop button once again on the control
panel. The LED screen will show “--”.
10. Press the On/Off Switch turn on Vibration
Massage. (The On/Off Switch is located on
the left side, underneath the massager.)

• This device is designed for indoor, home
use only.
• Never leave this device unattended while
it is plugged in.
• Always remove the plug from the power
outlet after use.
• Never use the device close to a heater,
fireplace, stove or other heat source, and
avoid smoking when using this massager.
• Never use this device if the plug or wire is
damaged, or if it is broken or wet.
• Always plug in the power source when the
power switch is in the OFF position.
• Do not use this device in sauna room or
bathroom, or in area with high humidity.
• Never use this device while your body or the
target area is wet.
• Wait 60 minutes after eating to use this
device.
• Do not use this product for more than 60
minutes at a time. Always take a break of 5 to
10 minutes if you want to use for more cycles.
• Keep out of reach of children at all times.
• Do not use this product while sleeping.
• To avoid excessive stimulation of the muscles
and nerves, the massage time should not
exceed the recommended 60 minutes at a
time (its default time is 30 minutes).
WARNING: TO REDUCE RISK OF BURNS, FIRE,
ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY TO PERSONS:
• Do not operate under a blanket, pillow or other
materials. Excessive heating can occur and
cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
• Use this device only for its intended use as
described in this manual.
• Never operate this device if it has a damaged
cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it
has been dropped or damaged or dropped
into water.
• Do not carry this device by the power cord
or use the power cord as a handle.
• Turn all controls to the OFF position before
removing the plug from the outlet.
• Use only the original AC adaptor included with
this device.
• Avoid the use of an extension cord. The
extension cord may overheat and cause
a risk of fire.
• Do not use this product on varicose veins.
• Store this device in a moisture-free, dry place
when not in use.
• Do not wrap the power cord around the device.
• Do not hang the device using the power cord.
• Keep away from all solvents and harsh
detergents.
• Unplug the device and allow it to cool before
cleaning. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth as needed.
• Never submerge the device in water or
other liquids.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, brushes,
gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture polish,
or paint thinner to clean the massager.
