Winch Tube Assembly
WINCH TUBE SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
The winch tube assembly was pre-assembled at the factory.
It is important that the internal parts and cable routings are
assembled properly in order for the winch tube assembly to
function properly. It also requires special tools during the as-
sembly process. It is therefore recommended that you con-
tact your local dealer should you ever have issues with the
winch tube assembly.

Motor Stop Assembly
Adjustment
Position the hoist motor stop assembly on the hoist so it
is centered side to side on the hoist platform. Changing
the motor stop location front to rear is accomplished by
sliding the straight portion of the motor stop arm through
the U-bolts. This allows you to change the motor stop
location to best position your boat on the hoist. Once the
assembly is in the proper position, tighten the nuts on the
U-bolts.

DW (Deep Water) SECTION:
The deep water version of this boat hoist is assembled
using the same assembly instructions as the standard
hoist. The only items that are different between the two
hoists are the length of the upright corner posts and the
adjustable legs inside them as identied in the drawings
for deep water legs.
The water depth where your hoist is going to be installed
will determine whether you should use the deep water
version of this hoist.
The deep water version of this hoist can be used in deep-
er water depths because of the additional length of the
extension legs. Listed below is the amount of adjustment
the various legs have.
• A standard leg shipped with the hoist has 20” of
adjustment.
• The deep water legs have 55” of adjustment.

BATTERY SPECIFICATIONS
The speed at which the load can be raised is direct-
ly proportional to the power available to do the job.
The larger and better the batteries are that power the
winch system, the more satised you will be with the
results obtained when using a DC powered winch.
ShoreStation recommends that the battery used to power
the winch system is a deep cycle battery Group 24 minimum.
The following are items you can do to help with the perfor-
mance.
• Make sure the battery is fully charged.
• A solar panel that generates 20 amps or more is
recommended to keep the battery fully charged in a eld
situation.
• A battery maintainer can be used if 110 volt power
source is available to operate the maintainer. A battery
maintainer that will supply a minimum of 6 amps and
12 volts is recommended to properly maintain a battery.
12/24V DC CONNECTIONS
It is very important that the terminals and ground connec-
tions are clean, and tightened sufciently to make an excel-
lent contact. Clean connections with a wire brush to make a
positive connection.
Make sure all cable connections are connected to the proper
terminals.
OPERATING PROCEDURES
Connect the system battery cables in the following congu-
rations:

KEYBOARD OPERATION
To enable the keypad function, enter the factory or user-de-
ned 4 digit code. The preset factory code is the sequence
“1-2-3-4”.
The numbers entered into the keypad do not have to be
changed if numbers are entered by mistake. The only re-
quirement is that the four digit sequence of numbers be en-
tered into the system during the number entering process.
Do not press the code button anytime before or after the
code is entered into the system. Doing so will disable
the keyboard so the keyboard functions will not oper-
ate.
When you start entering numbers onto the keypad, the
GREEN - LED light will light up. When the correct sequence
of four numbers is entered into the system anytime during
the number entering process, the RED- LED will light up.
Once the RED - LED is lit, the UP, DOWN, and LIGHT func-
tion keys on the keypad will operate. The remote controls
are disabled when the RED - LED is lit.
Once the keypad has been activated using the sequence
numbers as just described, the keyboard will stay activated
for approximately 2 minutes. It will then return to an inactive
mode.
Pressing the code button will activate the remote con-
trol and disable the keypad at the same time. The key-
pad and remote control can never be operated at the
same time.
