1 Introducon
Read these instrucons completely before you use the
mul-point locks.
To safely use the mul-point locks BS 2100 and
BS 2800, adhere to the dened operang instrucons
in order to prevent funconal disorders or damage.
Follow the notes in Chapter 2 "Safety", in order to
prevent personal injury or damage.

1.2 Target group of this documentaon
These instrucons are intended for end users.
1.3 Intended use
• The mul-point lock is suitable for use in single-sash
and double-sash doors in permanent buildings.
• The mul-point lock may only be installed in doors
that have been ed in a technically sound manner.
• The door design must permit use of the mul-point
lock.
1.4 Locking part and hardware
• Repair of the mul-point lock is not permissible.
If the mul-point lock is damaged, it must be repai-
red or replaced by KFV or by a specialist company.
• Use only KFV frame parts.
1.5 Improper use
• The mul-point lock must not be used for escape
doors.
• The mul-point lock must not be used in doors for
wet rooms or rooms in which the air contains
aggressive or corrosive components.
• Foreign objects and/or materials which impede or
prevent proper use must not be placed within the
opening range, the locking system or the striker
plates.
• Do not interfere with and/or make any
modicaons to the mul-point lock.
1.6 Service notes
• Check that all moving components are funconing
properly once a year.
• Please get in touch with your contractual partner if
you noce malfuncon or damage.
1.7 Dimensions
All measurements are given in mm.

1.9 Appropriate disposal
• The mul-point lock and the oponal accessories
should not be disposed of with household waste.
Comply with the current local and naonal
regulaons.
• The packaging consists of raw materials that can be
recycled and can be taken to the local waste paper
disposal site.

2 Safety
Before using the mul-point lock, read the following
warning notes carefully. They are designed to keep
you safe and prevent hazards, injuries and material
damage. Observe all warning notes.
Informaon
This symbol indicates special features and designates
facts that require increased aenon.
2.1 Causes of damage
The lever handle and key must not be operated at the same me.
Only apply pressure to the lever handle in the direcon of
acvaon. Max. 150 N may be applied to the lever handle. The
mul-point lock must be locked only with the associated key.
Locking elements must not be misused to hold the door open
Do not paint
The mul-point lock must be replaced if indicaons of the use of
force are detected.
Do not drill through the door leaf when the mul-point lock is
installed.
The spindle must not be hit through the lock nut with force.

The door leaf must not be carried using the lever handle as a grip.
Double-leaf doors must not be forced open using the inacve
sash.

3 Variants and components
Two variants of the mul-point lock are available, with comfort mushroom cam [1] or with roller bolt [2].
An extension piece [3] or [4] with an addional locking element can be mounted to extend the mul-point locks.

4 Operaon
The operang steps described below are illustrated by schemac diagrams. The so-called
rebate (the stepped projecon) on the frame side is omied for beer understanding of the
funcons. Hence an insight into the locking procedures with the door closed is ensured.
Never acvate the key and the lever handle simultaneously.
4.1 Locking elements

The latch [1] keeps the door closed
in the released condion. It enga-
ges in the AT-piece [2] when the
door is closed. The lever handle [3]
is acvated or the key [4] turned in
the release direcon up to the stop
to open the door.

Shut the door
fPress or pull the door closed.
During the closing process, the
latch [1] is pushed inwards via its
inclined side on contact with the
stop piece [2].
When the door is closed, the latch
moves behind the stop piece in
the door frame and holds the door
securely closed.

Double-turn locking
fTurn the key in the locking direc-
on with a double turn.
• The main lock bolt extends
completely.
• The cams retract completely into
the frame parts and the door
leaf moves laterally to the seal.
Always turn the key twice to lock
the door. Only then do the main lock
bolt and cams move directly into the
locking posion.
Counter-pressure retenon
The counter-pressure retenon is
a burglar resistance. It prevents
the locking elements from being
pushed back.
The counter-pressure retenon is

Release
fTurn the key in the unlocking
direcon with a double turn.
• The main lock bolt extends com-
pletely into the lock case.
• The cams extend completely out
of the frame parts.
fAcvate the lever handle or turn
the key to the stop in the locking
direcon and open the door.

5 Funconal disorders
Repair of the mul-point lock is not permissible. In case of damage or funconal disorder,
the mul-point lock must be repaired or replaced by KFV or by a specialist company.
Get in touch with your contractual partner for this.
Lever handle
• The lever handle does not return
to its original posion by itself.
• The lever handle and/or the latch
do not move with ease.
Withdrawing the key
• The key cannot be pulled out.

Cams
In the release posion, the distance
between the cams and the distance
to the inlet edge of the frame part
must be enough to ensure that the
cams do not touch the inlet edge
of the frame part while opening or
closing the door.
In the course of me, the door leaf
could jam or the travel range of the
cams could be reduced due to play
in the mechanism.
Contact your contractual partner
immediately if you noce that
the cams touch the inlet edge of
the frame part while opening or
closing.
If the cams do not completely extend
during release, there is a danger that
the door cannot be opened any more.

6 Cleaning and
maintenance
For KFV mul-point locks,
series BS 2100, BS 2800
All components of the mul-point
lock have already been treated
with long-term lubricaon and are
consequently maintenance-free.
However, if a subsequent
lubricaon of the locking
elements should be necessary,
use only spray-on grease.
Do not use lubricants containing
solvents or resins.
Cleaning
• Use a so cloth for the cleaning.
• Never use cleaning agents
that are aggressive or contain
solvents.
