Einleitung
Diese Betriebsanleitung enthält Anweisungen für die ord-
nungsgemäße Handhabung des Einschubrahmens on
dem auf der nächsten Seite genannten Typen.
Hinweis:
Aus Gründen der Übersichtlichkeit enthält die Betriebsan-
leitung nicht sämtliche Detailinformationen und kann auch
nicht jeden denkbaren Fall derAufstellung, des Einsatzes
und der Instandhaltung berücksichtigen.
Sollten sie weitere Informationen wünschen oder sollten
besondere Probleme auftreten, können Sie die erforderli-
che Auskunft über die örtliche Siemens-Niederlassung an-
fordern.
Außerdem weisen wir darauf hin, daß der Inhalt dieser
Betriebsanleitung nicht Teil einer früheren oder bestehen-

Die Einschub-Leistungsschalter 3WN/3WS können in den
Einschubrahmen folgende Positionen einnehmen:
Draw-out breakers of type 3WN/3WS can assume the fol-
lowing positions in the guide frames:
1. Wartungsstellung/Maintenance position
(Nur möglich, wenn Klappschienen 4.1
orhanden sind)

Die Schalterpositionen werden bei geschlossener Schalt-
schranktür seitlich am Bedienpult und bei offener Tür auf
der Schalteroberseite annähernd angezeigt (Seite 11).
Eine genaue Anzeige befindet sich links orn am Einschub-
rahmen.
Verriegelungen in Schalter und Einschubrahmen stellen
sicher, daß Schalter
- im eingeschalteten Zustand beim Einstecken der Trans-
port-kurbel ausgeschaltet werden,
- zwischen den Positionen nicht einschaltbar sind,
- nur im ausgeschalteten Zustand erschoben werden
können (Zubehör).
Breaker positions in the frame are indicated at the side of the
control panel when the cubicle door is closed and approxi-
mately on the top of the circuit-breaker when the cubicle door
is open (see page 11).
There is a precise indication gi en on the guide frame (at the
front, at the left).
Interlocks within the circuit-breaker and and the guide frame
ensure that the breaker
- is tripped as soon as the racking spindle is inserted,
- cannot be closed while being racked from one position
to another,
- can be mo ed only in the tripped state (accessory).

stungsschalter transportiert werden (Fig. 4)

Der Einschubrahmen ist auf der Grundfläche abzustellen.
Bei unebenem Untergrund sind Kanthölzer entsprechend
Fig. 5 zu erwenden. Das Abstellen auf den elektrischen
Anschlußflächen (Rückseite) ist unzulässig (Fig. 6).

4.1 Anlagentür vorbereiten
Türausschnitt und Befestigungslöcher siehe Maßbilder im
Katalog und im Handbuch.
Die Montage des Sichtfensters 4.51 (Fig. 7) ist nach der Be-
triebsanleitung 9239 9735 174 orzunehmen.

Inspection window 4.51 (Fig. 7) is to be assembled as in
Operating instructions 9239 9735 174.

4.2 Umbau des inschubrahmens 3WN1 für Lei-
stungsschalter mit einer Betriebsspannung
von 1000 V
3WN1 Leistungsschalter mit einer Betriebsspannung on
1000V erfügen über 2 Lichtbogenkammeraufsätze pro
Lichtbogenkammer und damit über eine entsprechend grö-
ßere Bauhöhe. Um auch diese Leistungsschalter im Ein-
schubrahmen ungehindert erfahren zu können, muß das
neue Hilfsleiterstecksystem um 30mm höher angebracht
werden.
4.2 Modifying the guide frame 3WN1 for circuit-
breakers with operating voltage of 1000 V
3WN1 circuit-breakers with an operating oltage of 1000V
ha e two attachments per arc chute and are consequently
higher. So that these circuit-breakers can be mo ed in the
guide frame without difficulty, the new auxiliary cable system
must be fitted 30mm higher.

5 Einbauen
Einbaumaße und Befestigungslöcher siehe Maßbilder im
Katalog und im Handbuch.
Die Montage erfolgt auf waagerechter Ebene mit ier Schrau-
ben M8. Die Höhendifferenz der Anschraubstellen darf nicht
größer als 1 mm sein.
Die orderen Schrauben 2.122 dürfen aus den Führungs-
schienen 2.121 nicht herausragen (Fig. 8).
Als Sicherungselemente Spannscheiben DIN 6796 erwen-
den.
5 Installation
Refer to the dimension drawings on catalog and manual for
mounting dimensions and mounting holes.
The unit is mounted horizontally by means of four M8 screws.
The bolt-on positions must not differ in heigt by more than 1
mm.
The front screws 2.122 must not protude from the guide rails
2.121 (Fig.8).
Use conical spring washers to DIN 6796.

6.1.2 Anschluß mit T-Anschlußstücken
Einzelheiten sind der den T-Anschlußstücken (2.315) bei-
liegenden Anbauanleitung 9239 9551 174 zu entnehmen.
Die Anschlußschienen müssen entsprechend Fig. 11 ab-
gestützt werden.
6.1.2 Connecting using T-connectors

174 supplied with the T-connectors (2.315).

6 Anschließen
6.1 Hauptleiter anschließen
Angeschlossen werden wahlweise
- direkt an den Anschlußflanschen bei senkrechten Schie-
nen,
- mit T-Anschlußstücken (Zubehör) bei waagerechten
Schienen, oder
- Stromschienen nach DIN 43673.
Vor dem Anschließen müssen die Anschlußflächen der
Kupferschienen mit einer sauberen Stahldrahtbürste, die
nur für Kupfer erwendet werden darf, metallisch sauber
gebürstet werden. Metallspäne sind mit einem sauberen
Lappen zu entfernen und die Anschlußflächen sofort mit
Centoplex 24 DL (Fa. Klüber Lubrication, München), Shell
Vaseline B422 oder Shell Al ania R3 leicht zu fetten.
6.1.1 Direkter Anschluß an den Anschlußflanschen
Die Länge der Anschlußschrauben ist nach Fig. 9 zu be-
messen. Es sind Schrauben der Festigkeitsklasse 8.8 und
Spannscheiben DIN 6796 zu erwenden.
Die Anschlußschienen müssen entsprechend Fig. 10 ab-
gestützt werden.

6 Connection
6.1 How to connect the main conductors
The main conductors are connected
- either directly to the connecting flanges in the case of
ertical bars,
- ia T-connectors (acessory) in the case of horizontal
bars, or
- ia busbars to DIN 43673.
Prior to connection, rub the flange faces of the copper bars
to obtain a bright finish. Use a clean steel wire brush for this
purpose which is used exclusi ely for copper. Remo e
metal sli ers with a clean cloth and immediately apply a thin
film of grease to the flange faces (Centoplex 24 DL from
Klüber Lubrication, Munich; Shell Vaseline B422 or Shell
Al ania R3).
6.1.1 Direct connection to connecting flanges
The length of the terminal screws are to be dimensioned as
in Fig. 9. Use screws of strength class 8.8 and conical
spring washers to DIN 6796.
The terminal bars must be supported as in Fig. 10.

6.3 Positionsmeldeschalter anschließen
Es sind 2 Arten on Positionsmeldeschaltern für die Be-
triebs-, Prüf-, und Trennstellung orhanden:
1. Meldeschalter, die nur om Einschubrahmen betätigt
werden und unabhängig om Vorhandensein des Lei-
stungsschalters funktionieren: (3WX31 84-1JA**, ** =
01, 11, 21). Montage und Anschließen siehe Betriebsan-
leitung 9239 9554 174 .
2. Meldeschalter, die om Einschubrahmen und om Lei-
stungsschalter gemeinsam betätigt werden (3WX31 84-
17B**, ** = 01, 21). Montage und Anschließen siehe
Betriebsanleitung 9239 9630 174.
6.3 How to connect the position microswitches
There are 2 types of position switch for the connected, test
and disconnected position:
1. Position switches actuated only by guide frame and
functioning independently of presence of circuit-break-
er: (3WX31 84-1JA-**,** = 01, 11, 21). Mounting and
connecting see Operating instructions 9239 9554 174 .
2. Position switches actuated by guide frame and cir-
cuit-breaker jointly (3WX31 84-17B**,** = 01, 21).

6.13 Schutzerden
Der Einschubrahmen ist an der besonders gekennzeich-
neten Bohrungen (Fig. 11a) an den Schutzleiter des Netzes
anzuschließen.

6.2 Anschließen der Hilfsleiter
Einschubschalter sind mit automatisch trennenden Hilfs-
stromsteckern ausgerüstet. Der Hilfsleiteranschluß erfolgt
in dem Einschubrahmen.
6.2 Connecting the auxiliary conductors
Draw-out circuit-breakers are fitted with automatically dis-
connecting auxiliary plugs. The auxiliary plugs are connect-
ed in the guide frame.

Achtung: Es ist zu kontrollieren, ob die Tra erse 2.22 in
Trennstellung" steht, da sich sonst der Leistungsschalter
nicht einschieben läßt. Die Trennstellung ist auf der Anzeige
2.12 zu erkennen (Fig. 12).
7 Putting into service
Caution: Check that the front cross-arm 2.22 is in the "dis-
connected position", otherwise the circuit-breaker cannot
be mo ed into position. The disconnected position is shown
on the indicator 2.12 (Fig. 12).

errasten hierbei mit den Zapfen der oberen Tra erse
2.22 (Fig. 15) und der Leistungsschalter steht in Trenn-

The latches 4.3 will drop into position on the pins of the
front cross-arm 2.22 (Fig. 15) and the breaker will be in

Die Klappschienen können als Bestandteil des Ein-
schub-rahmens mit bestellt werden, sie sind dann un-
lösbar mit dem Rahmen erbunden.
Einschubrahmen ohne Klappschienen können mit ab-
nehmbaren Klappschienen (Bestell-Nr.: 3WX31 84-
4JA00) nachgerüstet werden.
- Fold down the extension rails 4.1 (Fig. 13)
The extension rails can be ordered as a part of the guide
frame; they are then fixed to it.
Guide frames without extension rails can be retrofitted
with remo able rails (order no. 3WX31 84-4JA00).

- Bei offener Tür werden die Schalterpositionen an der
Oberseite der Schalterseitenwand annähernd angezeigt
(nur beim 3WN) (Fig. 17).
- When the cubicle door is open, circuit-breaker positions

7.1 inschieben
Die Arbeitsgänge im einzelnen:
- Abdeckung 4.52 anheben (Fig. 18)
- Kurbel 4.53 auf Spindel stecken und im Uhrzeigersinn
drehen, bis entsprechend der Positionsanzeige die Prüf-
stellung erreicht ist.
7.1 Insertion
How to proceed:
- Remo e co ering 4.52 (Fig. 18)
- Place crank 4.53 on spindle and turn it clockwise until the
indicator shows the test position.

8.1 Interlock to prevent opening of cubicle door

Order option: can also be retrofitted Order No. for all 3WN
and 3WS sizes: 3WX31 67-2JB01
This pre ents the cubicle door from being opened when the
circuit-breaker is on or off in either the connected or the test
position.
This interlock can be o erridden (Fig. 21) exercising due
caution. To do this:
- Insert a screwdri er (max. diameter 3 mm) into hole 3.15
and shift interlock to one side
- Open the cubicle door
8 Sperrvorrichtungen
8.1 Sperre gegen Öffnen der Schaltschranktür
(Türverriegelung Fig. 20)
Bestelloption, auch nachrüstbar. Bestell-Nr. für alle 3WN-
und 3WS-Baugrößen: 3WX31 67-2JB01
Sie erhindert das Öffnen der Schaltschranktür in der Be-
triebs-und Prüfstellung bei ein- und ausgeschaltetem Lei-
stungsschalter.

9 Abschließbarkeiten
Abschließen lassen sich
- die Schalterposition mit einem Vorhängeschloß (Fig.23),
- der Verschlußschieber (Shutter) 2.91 mit bis zu zwei
Vorhängeschlössern (Fig. 24)
- die Verriegelung gegen Einschalten (Fig. 25), (Schalter
ist nicht einschaltbar).
Es können Vorhängeschlösser mit einem maximalen Bü-
geldurchmesser on 5 mm erwendet werden.
In the front 5.4 or rear 5.5 cross-arm there are drilled holes
arranged in such a way that if the wire release 5.2 fails, the
bolt 5.3 can be directly actuated by means of a screwdri er.
9 Lockable features
- The circuit-breaker can be locked in position with a
padlock (Fig. 23).
- The shutter 2.91 can be locked with up to two padlocks
(Fig. 24).
- The closing lockout (Fig. 25) can be secured (the break-
er then cannot be closed).
Padlocks with a max. shackle diameter of 5 mm can be
used.

Die Sperre erhindert das Verschieben (durch Kurbel) des
Schalters bei geöffneter Schranktür.
Die Sperr orrichtung kann unter Wahrung der nötigen Um-
sicht überlistet werden. Hierzu wird ein Schraubendreher in
den Spalt des Führungsrohres 5.1 geklemmt. Dadurch wird
über den Drahtauslöser 5.2 der Riegel 5.3 zur Seite ge-
drückt.
8.2 Interlock to prevent moving of the circuit-
breaker when the cubicle door is open (Fig.22)
This interlock pre ents the circuit-breaker from being mo ed
(by crank) when the cubicle door is open.
Pro ided that all necessary care is taken, the interlock can
be o erridden. To o erride it, insert a screwdri er in the gap
of the guide tube 5.1. The bolt 5.3 is thereby pushed to the
side by way of the wire release 5.2.

10 Wartung
Für Wartungsarbeiten am Schalter ist dieser in die War-
tungsstellung zu ziehen oder aus dem Schaltschrank zu
nehmen.
10 Maintenance
Before carrying out any maintenance work on the circuit-
breaker pull it into the maintance position or remo e it from
the cubicle.
Vorsicht! Caution!
Aus Sicherheitsgründen dürfen Wartungsarbeiten
nicht in der Betriebs-, Prüf-, oder Trennstellung orge-
nommen werden!
Wartungsarbeiten am Enschubrahmen dürfen nur
bei span-nungsloser Schaltanlage durchgeführt wer-
den. Die Schalt-anlage ist während der Arbeiten ge-
gen Wiedereinschaltung zu sichern.
For safety reasons do not undertake maintenance
work on the circuit-breaker while it is in the connected,
test or dis-connected position.
Do not carry out any maintenance work on the guide
frame unless the switchboard is de-energized. Pro-
ide a safeguard to pre ent unintentional reclosing of
the line-side circuit-breaker while maintenance work
is being carried out.
