WARNING
Check that the Ready For Service (gas) Gauge indicates GREEN before operation
DO NOT OPERATE switchgear if the pointer is in the RED region

Slide the Isolator/Earth Switch Control Gate down to
open the Earth Shutter. 2
Insert the Operating Lever and rotate anti-clockwise
to open the Earth Switch. 3
Remove the Operating Lever. Check the
Control Gate has returned to the mid position.

Slide the right-hand Control Gate up to open the
Isolator Shutter.

(a) Remove the Operating Lever. Check the
Control Gate has returned to the mid position.
(b) Slide the left-hand Control Gate up to open the
Circuit Breaker Spring Charge Shutter.

Insert the Operating Lever and rotate clockwise
to close the Isolator Switch.

Insert the Operating Lever and rotate clockwise to
charge the Circuit Breaker Spring. It will click and hold
when rotated enough (70°).
Note: The aperture is sprung to eject the handle automatically.
It must be pushed in firmly and held to rotate.

For panels where the Circuit Breaker Spring Charge
mechanism is motorised, the spring is automatically
recharged immediately after the Circuit Breaker is
opened. In this case, steps 4 and 5 can be omitted.
6Remove the Operating Lever. Press the CLOSE button VERY HARD.
