Product Description
The EcoView 8 DO Module is an eight-channel, pilot-
duty controller module that is used to manage lighting
or other energy-consuming electrical loads that would
benefit from scheduling. Relay channels may be
accessed through the EcoView Touchscreen or
remotely through the EcoView Web application.

Required Tools and Materials
Flat-blade screwdriver (1/8-inch blade width)
Wire strippers
Expected Installation Time
15 minutes for installing the EcoView 8 DO Module
30 minutes for wiring each DO
Prerequisites
NOTE: If the EcoView 8 DO Module will be directly
controlling line voltage, it must be mounted in
an appropriate plastic NEMA enclosure.
The EcoView Touchscreen is installed and started up
according to the
Installation Instructions (129-562).
A 120 Vac outlet is available for the EcoView 8
DO Module power supply.
Depending on the type of installation, other
prerequisites may have to be completed.
Installation
CAUTION:
Always wear an electro-static discharge
(ESD) wrist strap and discharge
accumulated static before touching field
panel components.
Install the EcoView 8 DO Module near the loads
to be controlled.
1. If the EcoView 8 DO Module will be directly
controlling line voltage, mount the plastic NEMA
enclosure in the desired location.
2. If necessary, install a standard 120 Vac outlet in
the enclosure where the EcoView 8 DO Module
power supply will be attached.
3. Using the provided screws, mount the EcoView 8
DO Module assembly in the enclosure.
4. Attach the EcoView 8 DO Module 24 Vac power
supply to the standard 120 Vac outlet and secure
with the provided plate screw.
5. Wire the individual circuits to be controlled to the
2-pin connectors for Relay 1 – Relay 8.
NOTE: The relays are capable of controlling loads up
to 240 Vac at 3A. Anything outside of this
range should be controlled by contactors.

Commissioning the 8 DO Module
In order to commission the EcoView 8 DO Module to
the ZigBee network, the DO module needs to be reset.
1. Press the recessed Reset button four times in
rapid succession (see Figure 1).
 The NET light stops flashing.
The NET light starts flashing again once it has
joined the ZigBee network.
2. Press the Reset button once to send the Node ID
information to the EcoView Touchscreen.
Assigning the 8 DO Module to the
Touchscreen
1. Press the EcoView Touchscreen CONFIG button
for one second and then release it to display the
Configuration screen (see Figure 6).
2. Press the DEVICE SETTINGS icon.
3. Press the Configure tab.
 The EcoView 8 DO Module’s MAC address displays
in the Unassigned Nodes list. (See Figure 6.)
 Assigned and unassigned EcoView 8 DO
Modules, EcoView Multi-phase Meters, and
EcoView Thermostats display in the
Configured Device list.
NOTE: Join devices one-at-a-time. This minimizes any
confusion caused by having several MAC
addresses displayed on the screen at one time.
4. Select a device from the Unassigned Nodes list
to start the Device Configuration Wizard.

5. Select the Resource Controller device driver
from the list, and then press the Next button.

6. If needed, select the Relay Delay parameter to
edit the value, and then press the Next button.

7. Select the appropriate Zigbee MAC Address for
the 8 DO Module from the list, and then press the
Finish button.

8. Press the Accept button.
⇨The EcoView 8 DO Module is assigned to the
EcoView Touchscreen and locked into the
wireless network.
9. In the upper-left corner of the screen, press the
Home button to return to the main screen.
10. Press the Exit button to save the configuration.
The installation and commissioning are now complete.

Troubleshooting
➤If the EcoView 8 DO Module’s MAC address is
not displayed on the Device Network screen,
repeat the steps in the
Commissioning the 8 DO
Module
section.
Removing Device(s) Installed to an EcoView
Touchscreen in Error (Only for Sites with
Multiple Touchscreens)
Use this procedure if the EcoView 8 DO Module has
joined the wrong EcoView Touchscreen network.
1. Remove the front bezel of the EcoView Touchscreen
that the 8 DO Mdoule has joined in error.
2. Press and hold the EcoView Touchscreen
CONFIG button for one second to display the
Configuration screen.
3. Press the DEVICE SETTINGS icon.
4. Press the Advanced tab.
5. On the right side of the screen, press the Open
button to toggle the network to closed.
The button text changes to Closed.

6. Press the Configure tab and deselect Hide
Configured Devices.
7. In the list, select the EcoView 8 DO Module.
8. In the Device Configuration Wizard, press the
Decommission button.
9. Press the Accept button.
10. Return to the EcoView 8 DO Module and install it on
the correct EcoView Touchscreen network.
Resetting the EcoView 8 DO Module to
Manufacturer’s Defaults
Use this procedure to reset the EcoView 8 DO
Module to the manufacturer’s defaults.
➤Press and hold the recessed RESET button for
more than 10 seconds and then release it.
 The LEDs on the EcoView 8 DO Module should
cycle off, then turn on again.
