MBC Door Extension Kits

Product Description
The MBC Door Extension kits extend the depth of
the MBC40 or MBC24 enclosures allowing for
additional space to mount other devices.
The MBC34 Door Extension kit will
accommodate one large and one small, or
three small backplane kits (sold separately).
The MBC24 Door Extension kit will
accommodate one large or two small
backplane kits (sold separately).

Each door includes the following components:
Enclosure Extension with solid door,
grounding cable, lock and keys
Three Spring clamps to fasten extension to
existing enclosure

PXA-MBC34.EXT.DR MBC40 Door Extension

Required Tools
11/32 socket and drive
Expected Installation Time
10 minutes for installation of Extension Door and
fastening to existing enclosure.
Compliance
CAUTION:
For use with the MBC40 or MBC24
enclosures. Any other use voids all UL,
CSA, and FCC approvals, as well as
European EMC and LVD compliance.
Prerequisites
Existing hardware has been removed and new parts
ordered.

Installing the Migration Backplane
WARNING:
This installation should only be done by a
qualified electrician or an authorized
Siemens Industry, Inc. representative.
1. Unlock door, unfasten ground cable from door
and remove door from hinges.
2. Align extension with hinges on existing
enclosure, slide in place with lower extension lip
resting on lower enclosure flange.
3. Secure extension door to existing enclosure
using three spring clamps (provided), by pushing
clamps over right side flanges of extension and
enclosure at top, middle, and bottom.
4. Align door with extension hinges and slide in
place.
5. Secure ground cables from door and enclosure
to the stud on extension, using the two washers
and nut provided.
The installation is complete.
