AOP/Door Migration Kits

Product Description
The AOP/Door Migration Kits allow the placement of
additional control devices on the existing SCU
enclosure door or on the Modular Building Controller
(MBC) Extension Door when space inside the
enclosure is limited.
The kits come in two different sizes (large and small)
•SCU door allows one large kit.
•MBC24 door allows one large kit or two small
kits.
•MBC34 door allows one large and one small,
or three small kits.

Each kit consists of a backplane and power cable
only or with AOP transducers already pre-installed
and pre-piped.
Each pre-installed and pre-piped kit includes the
following components:
•4 or 8 AOP assemblies with Terminal Blocks,
signal wire, tubing and fittings (if applicable)
•Power cable and Terminal Block
•4 or 5 wire tie bars (3.5”)
•2 or 4 mounting nuts

Required Tool
7/16 socket and drive
Expected Installation Time
10 minutes for installation of backplane and Power
Termination Block.
Compliance
CAUTION:
Use of the Migration Kit without MBC40 or
MBC24 enclosure with Door Extension or
SCU enclosure voids all UL, CSA, and
FCC approvals, as well as European EMC
and LVD compliance.
NOTE:
A Migration Kit is required for enclosures
where controller is performing Smoke
Control applications, but Smoke Control
may not be performed using AOP
Transducer or any 3rd party Converters.
Select the appropriate Product Number for
the existing enclosure.
Prerequisites
Existing hardware has been removed and new parts
ordered.
CAUTION:
SUPPLY must be 25 to 30 PSI on
installation.

Installing the Migration Backplane
WARNING:
This installation should only be done by a
qualified electrician or an authorized
Siemens Industry, Inc. representative.
1. Align the backplane mounting holes with the
mounting studs on the door.
2. Secure the backplane using mounting nuts
supplied.
3. Secure tubing and signal wires to wire tie bar on
enclosure backplane, but do not connect tubing
and signal wires at this time.
The installation is complete.
