Hazard
Failure to comply with the instructions and
safety rules in this Manual will result in death or
serious injury.
Do not operate, unless:
You have learned and practiced the rules
of safe machine operatingin this Manual.

ClassificationofHazards
The symbols, colors and marks used in product
labeling of Hunan SINOBOOM Intelligent
Equipment Co., Ltd. are meant as follows:
Safety warning mark- It is used to
prompt potential personal injuries.
Observe all safety prompts behind this
mark for the purpose of avoiding
personal injuries or death.
Red mark- It is used to prompt the
urgent hazardous cases; if not avoided,
it would lead to death or serious
injuries.
Orange mark- It is used to prompt
potential hazardous cases; if not
avoided, it would lead to death or
serious injuries.
Orange mark with safety warning- It is
used to prompt potential hazardous
case; if not avoided, it might lead to
mild or moderate personal injury.
Orange mark without safety warning-
It is used to prompt potential
hazardous case; if not avoided, it
might lead to property losses.
Green mark- It is used to prompt
operation or maintenance information.
Hazard of Electric Shock
The machine is not insulated and does not have
electric shock protection.
Maintain a safe distance from the power line and
equipment according to the applicable
government regulations and the following table.

Be wary of strong winds or gusts in view of
platform movement, electric wire wiggling or
drooping. Do not operate the machine when
there is lightning or heavy rain.
Stay away from the machine if the machine
comes into contact with a live wire. The person
on the ground or platform must not touch or
operatethe machine before the poweris cut off.
Do not use the machine as ground electrode
during welding operation.
Hazard of Tip-over
The personnel, equipment and materials on the
platform should not exceed the maximum
carrying capacity of the platform.

Only when the machine is in a firm and flat
ground can theplatform be raised or extended.
Do not use thetilt alarm as a horizontal indicator.
The tilt alarm on the platform will ring only
when the machine is heavily tilted.
If the tilt alarm rings:
Lower the platform and transfer the machine to
a solid and horizontal ground surface.
Be careful to firstly lower the main jib and then
lower the fly jib if the tilt alarm rings when the
platformis raised.
The machine cannot travel on uneven terrain,
unstable surface or other dangerous conditions
when the platformrises.
Do not operate the machine during strongwinds
or gusts. Do not increase the surface area of
platform or load. Increasing the area exposed to
wind will reduce themachine stability.
When the machine retracts, be careful and slow
down when the machine is moving on uneven
terrain, with crushed stone, unstable or smooth
surface, near cave mouth and steep slope.
Do not drive the machine on the slope that
exceeds the maximum gradeability of the
machine. The 25% of the maximum gradeability
is applicable to themachine under retraction.
Do not change the limit switch.

Do not change and prohibit the usage of any
machine parts that may affect safety and
stability.
Do not replace the key parts that affect machine
stability withdifferent weights or specifications.
Do not change or modify the aerial work
platform without the prior written permission of
the manufacturer. If an additional device is
installed on the platform or guardrail for placing
tools or other materials, this will increase the

platform weight and surface area or increase the
load.
Do not place or attach any suspended load on
any part of the machine.
Do not put ladders or
scaffolding within the
platform or any part near
the machine.
Do not use the machine
on any mobile or
movable surface or
vehicle. Ensure that all
the tires are in good
conditions and the
slotted nuts have been
tightened and the cotter
pins are complete.
When the platform gets stuck, please do not use
the platform controller to release the platform
when there are other objects nearby preventing
normal platform movement. If you intend to use
the ground control to release the platform, you
can operate after all the personnel leave the
platform.
Do not use the storage battery with weight
lighter than that of the original one. The storage
battery not only provides power but also serves
as balance weight, which is vital to the machine
stability.
The weight of each storage battery for
GTTZ09EJ&GTTZ10EJ must reach
33kg.
Do not use the machine as a crane.
Do not use the jib lever to push the machine or
other objects.
Do not allow the jib lever to touch the adjacent
object.
Do not tie the jib lever or platform on adjacent
object.
Do not put theload outsidethe platform.
Do not operate the machine if the platform door
level is not closed.
Hazard of Slope Operation
Please do not drive the machine on the slope that
exceeds the maximum upslope and downslope
ratings of the machine. The slope rating is only
applicable to the machine in the retracted
position.

The personnel on the platform must wear seat
belts or use safety facilities that comply with
government
regulations.
Tie the
lanyard to
the fixed
point of the
platform,
limited to 1 person to wear sling on each fixed
point.
Do not sit, stand or crawl on the platform guard
railing. Stand on the platform floor stably at all
times.
Do not climb down from
the platform when it is
raised.
Keep the platform floor
free from obstacles.

platform unless the
machine is in the fully
retracted position.
Close the platform door
lever before operation.
Do not operate the machine if guard railings are
not installed properly and the platform door
lever is not closed.

Hazard of Collision
Pay attention to the range of
sight and the existence of
blind spots when the
machine is started or
operated.
Check the workspace to
avoid obstacles or other
possiblehazards overhead.
Beware of the hazard of
squeezing when you grab
the platformguard railing.
Pay attention to observe and
use the color mark direction
arrow for driving,
lifting/lowering, and
steering functions on the
platform controller and
chassis controller.
The user must comply with user rules,
workplace rules and government rules regarding
the Personal Protection Equipment for User.
Before the brakes are released, the machine
must be on the horizontal plane or has been
fixated.
The platform can be lowered when there are no
peopleor obstacles in the lower area.
Limit travel speed according to ground
conditions, crowdingdegree, gradient, personnel
location, and any other factors that may cause a
collision.
Do not operate the machine on any crane or
mobile elevated line unless the crane controller
has been locked or precautions have been taken
against any potentialcollision.
Do not have dangerous or careless driving
during machine operating.
Hazard of Smash andSqueezing
Do not put your hands and arms near the
hazardous squeezing area.
Please maintain normal judgment and plan when
you are operating the machine on the ground
with a controller. Maintain a proper distance
among operator, machine and fixed object.
Hazard of DamagedParts
Do not use any storage battery or charger larger
than 24V to start the equipment.
Do not use the machine as the ground electrode
during welding operation.
Hazard of Explosion and Fire
Do not use a machine or charge a storage battery
in a place where dangerous or flammable gas or
particles may exist.
Hazard of Machine Breakdown
Do not use the damaged or broken machine.
Before each shift change, the machine should be
thoroughly checked and tested for all functions
before operation. The damaged or troubled
machine should be immediately marked and
stopped.
Ensure that all the maintenance operations have
been carried out in accordance with the
provisions of thisManual and the corresponding
Maintenance Manual.
Make sure all the labeling positions are
appropriateandeasy to identify.
Ensure the Operation Manual and Maintenance
Manual are in good condition, easy to read, and
stored in thestorage box on the platform.
Hazard of Personal Injury
Do not operate the machine when there is
hydraulic oil or gas leakage which may
penetrateand burn the skin.
Failure to miscontact any of the components
under the machine seal plate will cause serious
injury. Only the trained maintenance personnel
can open the covering parts to repair the
machine.
Suggestion: The operator should perform the

overhauling only in the pre-operational
examination. The covering parts must remain
closed and locked during operation.
Lock after Each Usage
1. Choose a safe place to park where can be a
solid horizontal ground, have no obstacles,
and avoid heavy traffic.
2. Lower the platform.
3. Turn the key switch to the "OFF" position
and unplug the key to avoid unauthorized
usage.
4. Chock the wheels with wedges.
5. Charge the storage battery.
Storage Battery Safety
Hazard of Burns
The storage battery contains acid. Wear
protective clothing and protective glasses during
using the storage battery.
Avoid the overflow of or contact with the acid in
the storage battery.
Use soda water to neutralize the spilled storage
battery acid.
Do not expose the storage battery or charger to
water or rain during charging.
Hazard of Explosion
A spark, flame or lighted cigarette is prohibited
near the storage battery as it can produce
explosive gas.
Do not use the tools that may cause spark to
contact the storage battery terminals or cable
clips.
Hazard of DamagedParts
Please use the charger appointed by the
manufacturer tocharge the storage battery.
Hazard of Electric Shock
Only connect the charger to the grounded
three-wire ACpowersocket.
Check the wire for damage daily. Please replace
the damaged parts before operation.
Avoid electric shocks due to contact with
storage battery terminals and remove all rings,
watches and other accessories.
Hazard of Tip-over

BasicPrinciples
It is the operator’s responsibility to perform the
“pre-operational inspection” and routine
maintenance.
The pre-operational inspection is a
straightforward inspection procedure performed
by the operator before each shift change, and it
aims to find out whether the machine has
obvious problems before the operator performs
functional tests.
The pre-operational inspection can also be used
to determine whether routine maintenance
procedures are required. The operator can only
carry out the routine maintenance items
specified in this Manual.
Please refer to the list of machine and parts.
Check for any changed, damaged, loosened or
missed partsin each item and location.
The damaged or altered machine should be
banned from using. Mark and stop the machine
if any damage is found or is different from the
status as delivered.
Only the qualified maintenance technicians can
repair the machine according to the
manufacturer’s regulations. After the
maintenance, the operator must perform another
pre-operationalinspection before function test.
According to the requirements set forth in the
manufacturer’s regulations and Duty Manual,
regular maintenance inspections should be
performed by the qualified maintenance
technicians.

Pre-operational Inspection
Ensure the Operation Manual and
Maintenance Manual are in good
conditions, easy to read, and stored in the
storage box on theplatform.
Make sure all the labels are legible and
appropriately located. Please refer to the
“Labeling”section.
Check whether the hydraulic oil leaks and
oil level is appropriate. Please add oil as
needed.

Check whether the storage battery liquid
leaks and liquid level is suitable. Please
add distilled water as needed. Please refer
to "OperationInstructions".
Inspection on Parts
Inspect whether any of the following parts or
areas are damaged, and whether there are any
improperly installed, loosened or missed parts
and unauthorized changes:
Electrical components,wirings and cables
Hydraulic power unit, fuel tank, connector,
hose, hydraulic cylinder and valve block
Storage battery pack and its connection
Drive electric motor and reduction
gearbox device
Connection of slewing mechanism
Manual brake release valve
Tire
Limit switchand horn
Alarms and indicator lamps
Nuts, bolts and other fasteners
Platform door lever and fasteners
Pit-hole protector
Boom slider
Fly jib systempinroll and fastener
Platform joystick
Inspection on Machine
Inspect thewhole machine to find:
Crack in a weld joint or structuralpart
Machine dent or damage
Severe rust,corrosion, or oxidation
Ensure that all the structural parts and
other key components are complete, and
all the relevant fasteners and pins are
correctly positioned and securely
tightened.
After inspection completion, make sure all
the covering parts are properly positioned
and locked.
Inspection on Hydraulic Oil Level
Keepingthe hydraulic oil in the right oil level is
critical to machine work. If the hydraulic oil is
in an improper oil level, it will damage the
hydraulic parts. Through daily inspection, the
inspector can determine the changes of
hydraulic oil level, which can indicate the
problems in the hydraulic system.
Perform the following procedures when the
platformis retracted.
1. Open the door of the right covering parts
and visually inspect the side of the
hydraulic oil tank.
Results: The hydraulic oil level should be
within the mark of "min" and "max" in the
oil tank.
2. Refuel as needed and do not overdo.
Hydraulic Oil Mark
Normal temperature region (from 0℃to
40℃): L-HM46
Cold region (from -25℃to 25℃): L-HV32
High temperatureregion (＞40℃): L-HM68
Extremely cold region ( ＜-30℃): Special
schemes need confirmation;
Different hydraulic oil can be added according
to customer’s requirements before leaving
factory.

Inspection on Storage battery
Warning: Hazard of electric shock; contact with
electrical circuits can cause death or serious
personal injury. Remove all rings, watches and
other accessories.
Warning: The storage battery condition is very
important to good machine performance and
safe operation. Improper liquid level of
electrolyte or damaged cable and wiring may
cause damage to parts and dangerous conditions.
Attention: Hazard of personal injury; the storage
battery contains acid. Avoid the overflow of or
contact with the acid in the storage battery. Use
soda water to neutralize the spilled storage
battery acid.
This inspection is carried out after the storage
battery is fully charged.
1. Wear protective clothing and protective
glasses.
2. Ensure the connection of storage battery
cable is not corroded.
3. Ensure the storage battery is fixated firmly
and the cable wiring is fastened.
Adding wiring end protectors and antiseptic
sealants will help eliminate corrosion of storage
battery terminals and cables.
Function Test
Do not operate, unless:
You have mastered and practiced the safe
machine operating rules stated in this
Manual.

2 Always perform the pre-operational
inspection.
3 Always perform pre-usage functional
tests.
Learn and understand the function
test before the nextstep.
4 Check theworkplace.
5 Use the machine only according to the
machine design intention.
Basic Principles
The function test aims to find troubles before
starting to use the machine. The operator must
test all the functions of the machine in
accordance withinstructions.
Do not use the troubled machine. The machine
must be marked and stopped if any trouble is
found. Only the qualified maintenance
technicians can repair the machine according to
the manufacturer’s regulations.
After maintenance completion, the operator
must perform the pre-operational inspection and
function test before startingto use themachine.
Test Preparation
1. Select a test area that is solid, horizontal
and free of obstacles.
2. Ensure that the storage battery is
connected.
3. Place the red "emergency stop" switch on
the platform and ground to the ON
position.
4. Left turn the key switch to the ground
control position.
Result: The relevant indicator is ON and
does not display any error message.

Test Main Jib Lifting/Lowering Functions
1. Press the main jib lifting mode button, and
then press the enabling button and the
lifting control button at thesame time.
Result: Themain jib lifts.
2. Press the enabling button and the lowering
control buttonat the same time.
Result: The platform should be lowered
meanwhile thelowering alarm should ring.
Test Turntable SlewingFunction
3. Press the turntable slewing mode button
first and then press the enabling button and
the left turningcontrol button.
Result: Theturntable turns left.
4. Press the enabling button and the right
turning control button at the same time.
Result: Theturntable turns right.
Test Fly JibLifting/Lowering Functions
5. Press the fly jib lifting mode button, and
then press the enabling button and the
lifting control buttonat thesame time.
Result: Thefly jib lifts.
6. Press the enabling button and the lowering
control buttonat the same time.
Result: Thefly jib lowers.
Test Emergency Lowering Function
1. Pull the main jib lowering electromagnetic
knob on the right side of the chassis to
lower the main jib.
2. Loosen the controller tostop lowering.
Result: The main jib and platform should
be lowered. After loosening the handle, the
platform stops lowering. The alarm does
not ring when the main jib or platform
lowers.

1. Turn the lower platform selection switch to

all functions will not run.
3. Pull the red “emergency stop” switch to the
ON position.
Result: The display screen powers on and
the platformoperationfunction is enabled.
Test Horn
1. Press the horn button.
Result: Thehorn honks.

Test Main Jib Lifting/Lowering Functions
1. Press the main jib mode button, and then
press the enabling button and push the handle
forward.
Result: Themain jib lifts.
2. Press the enablingbutton and push the handle
backward.
Result: The main jib should be lowered
and the lowering alarm should ring.
TestTurntable SlewingFunction
1. Press the turntable slewing mode button first
and then press the enabling button and the left
turning control button.

TestFly JibLifting/Lowering Functions
1. Press the fly jib lifting mode button, and then
press the enabling button and push the handle
forward.
Result: Thefly jib lifts.

backward.
Result: Thefly jib lowers.
Test Walking and Steering Functions
1. Press the walking mode button and the
walking mode indicator will be ON.
2. Press the enabling button and the left
turning button.
Result: The front wheel of the machine
turns left.
3. Press the enabling button and the right
turning button.
Result: The front wheel of the machine
turns right.
Test Drive and Brake Functions
1. Press the walking mode button and the
walking mode indicator will be ON.
2. Press the enabling button to push the
handle forward until the machine starts to
move, and then restore the handle to the
central position.
Result: The machine should move forward
and then stop.
3. Press the enabling button to push the
handle backward until the machine starts to
move, and then restore the handle to the
central position.
Result: The machine should move
backward and then stop.
Attention: The brake must be able to climb at
any gradient and the brake must be able to stop
the machine.
Test Weighing System
Before performing this test, you need to lift and
lower the main jib twice to ensure that the slider
and track can normally lubricate.
1. The main jib is fully retracted, the fly jib is
retracted to the lowest position, and load is
gradually imposed ontothe platform.
Result:

When the weight is not more than 200kg,
there is no overload alarm and no action is
restricted. When the platform loads more
than 240kg, there is overload limit alarm,
which limits lifting and fly jib movements.
Test Limited Drive Speed
1. Press the main jib mode button firstly, and
then press the enabling button and push the
handle forward at thesame time.
2. The main jib is lifted above the platform by
20cm.
Result: The pit protection mechanism
(located at the bottom of the chassis, each
one at right and left) should be expanded.
3. Press the walking and steering buttons, and
slowly move the drive control handle to the
full drive position.
Result: The speed of machine movement
will be no more than 60 seconds when
walking 10m.
Attention: If the machine running 10m is less
than 60s,stop operationand mark immediately.

Test Level Sensor
Attention: Use platform operation box control
equipment on the ground and do not stand on the
platformto operate.
1. Place two pieces of wood blocks with
height of 31mm and length & width of
50×100mm on the left side of the machine
(or right) under the two wheels, and drive
the machine on these twoplates.
2. Turn the walking function into platform
lifting/lowering function, and the handle is
lifted above the platformby about 1m.
Result: The platform should stop moving
and the tilt alarm will ring. The platform
and ground display should show LL.
3. Lower the platform, change to walking
function, remove work platform and
wooden blocks.
4. Place two pieces of wood blocks with
height of 74mm and length & width of
50×100mm in front of (or behind) the
machine under the two wheels, and drive
the machine on these twoplates.
5. Turn the walking function into platform
lifting/lowering function, and the handle is
lifted above the platformby about 1m.
Result: The platform should stop moving
and the tilt alarm will ring. The platform
and ground display should show LL.
6. Lower the platform, change to walking
function, remove work platform and
wooden blocks.
Test Pit-hole Protection Device
Attention: When the main jib is raised, the
pit-hole protection oil cylinder will push the
pit-hole protection plate to expand. When the
main jib disengages lifting/lowering limit
switches, if no pit protection mechanism is
expanded, the alarm will ring and the machine
will not rise and drive to walk.
1. Lift main jib.
Results: When the main jib is lifted, the
pit-hole protection oil cylinder will
protrude to push the pit-hole protection
plateto expand.
2. Push the left/right pit-hole protection
plates.
Results: The pit-hole protection plates
cannot turnupwards.
3. Lower main jib
Result: When the main jib lowers the
second pause height, the pit-hole
protection oil cylinder and pit-hole
protectionplates will be retracted.
4. Place a piece of wood block with height of
50mm and length & width of 50×100mm
under the pit-hole protection plate and the
main jib lifts.
Result: The alarm will ring when the
platform rises to the fork base and leaves
the compression bar of pit-hole protection
plate mechanism. The platform and ground
controller display will show 18. The
machine cannot rise and drive.
5. Lower the platform and remove the wooden
block.

determine whether the workplace is suitable for
safe machine operation. The operator should
perform this work before movingthe machine to
the workplace.
Understand and remember that workplace
hazards are the responsibility of the operator,
and then be aware of and avoid these problems
when moving, installing, and operating the
machine.
Beware and avoid the following dangerous
situations:
Steep hill or cave
Prominence, ground obstacles or debris
Inclined surface
Infirm or smooth surface
Air obstacles and high-voltage wires
Hazardous location
Insufficient to support the surface bearing
of all the capacity loaded by themachine
Gusts and strongwinds
Unauthorizedpersonnel appear
Other possible unsafe conditions

BasicPrinciples
"Operating Instructions" provide specific
instructions for all the aspects of machine
operation. It is the responsibility of the operator
to follow all the safety rules and instructions in
the OperationManual.
In addition to elevating people and tools to the
workplace, it is unsafe and even dangerous to
use this machine for other purposes.
Only the trained and authorized personnel are
allowed to operate the machine. If more than
one operator uses the same machine in different
time of the same work shift, they must all be the
qualified operators and follow all the safety
rules and instructions in the Operation Manual.
This means that each new operator should
perform the pre-operational inspection, function
tests, and workplace checks before using the
machine.
The following operations can refer to the
function tests.
Emergency Shutdown
Press the red "emergency stop" button on the
ground controller or platform controller to the
OFF positionand all the functions will stop.
The machine has a red "power off switch"
button located on the covering parts. Press the
button to the OFF position, the system is power
off and all the functions will stop.
To restore any operating function, pull out the
"emergency stop" button to the ON position and
the powerswitchis in the ON position.
Emergency Lowering
Lower Main Jib
1. Pull the main jib lowering electromagnetic
knob on the right side of the chassis to
lower the main jib.
2. Loosen the controller tostop lowering.
Rotating Turntable
1. Insert the
joystick into the
socket of hand

2. Push the joystick

from top to
