OVEVIEW
SmartAVI’s extends standard USB (Universal Serial Bus)
2.0 signals up to 10 km (6.2 miles) in Single mode and
500 ft in Multimode using a single ber cable. The USB2FX
supports all USB 2.0 high-speed devices, from keyboards
to digital cameras, and will operate on Windows®, Mac®
and Linux® operating systems. An integrated four-port hub
allows for multiple devices to be connected to the USB2FX
at once. Additional USB hubs can be added, increasing the
number of devices that can be plugged into the USB2FX.

USB2FX-TX Transmitter
1. Power off all devices.
2. Connect the KM source device (computer) to the USB2FX-TX with a USB cable using the USB-B input port.
3. Insert an SFP transceiver into the SFP uplink port on the USB2FX-TX transmitter.
4. Install a ber-optic cable into the SFP transceiver attached to the USB2FX-TX transmitter.
5. Connect a power supply to the USB2FX-TX.
USB2FX-RX Receiver
1. Insert an SFP transceiver into the SFP uplink port on the USB2FX-RX receiver.
2. Install the ber-optic cable into the SFP transceiver attached to the USB2FX-RX receiver.
3. Connect the USB2FX-RX to the desired peripherals using the USB-A output ports.
4. Connect a power supply to the USB2FX-RX.
5. Power on all devices.
