IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS!
When using electrical appliances, basic precautionary measures must always be taken in order to reduce the
risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before installing and using the heating appliance.
2. The appliance must be connected by a ualified electrician (see circuit diagram, page 9)
3. Great care should be taken if the appliance is used by or near children or invalids. This appliance is not
intended for use by individuals (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or those lacking in experience and/or instruction unless they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or have received instructions from such person on how to use the appliance. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance!
4. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combus-
tible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, etc. and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9
m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear of the heater (sides and
rear restrictions apply to location dedicated heaters only.)
5. This heater is not e uipped with a device to control the room temperature.
6. Always disconnect the heater from the power supply when not in use.
7. Avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
8. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in operation. Do not use the heating appliance with a
program selector, timer or other control device which switches the appliance on automatically!
9. It is not permitted to use the appliance in small rooms in which people live who are not able to leave the
room themselves without external help, unless permanent supervision is guaranteed.
10. Heating appliances which are to mounted in a bathroom should be installed in a manner which excludes
the switch from being within touching distance of a person who is either in the bath or under the show-
er.
11. Do not look directly over a longer period of time or from a short distance into the „infrared lamp“ when
in operation. This may cause damage to the eyes.

12. This appliance is approved for indoor and outdoor areas.
The infrared heater is tested and approved for horizontal wall installation or ceiling installation only.
13. Attention! Please take care that the radiation emission opening is not facing upwards allowing water
and dirt to collect in the appliance.
14. Do not insert any foreign objects into the vent hole or allow these to enter the vent hole, as this can
lead to an electric shock or fire and/or damage to the heater.
15. Do not operate any heater after it malfunctions. Disconnect power at service panel and have heater
inspected by a reputable electrician before reusing.
16. To disconnect heater, (turn switch to “off” and) turn off power to heater circuit at the main disconnect-
ing panel (or operate internal disconnecting switch if provided).
17. Do not operate without a protective grid. Attention – risk of burns!
18. To prevent a possible fire, do not block openings of vent holes or radiation emission in any way. There
is a fire hazard if the appliance is covered.
19. A heating appliance has hot parts inside. Do not use in any areas where gasoline, paint or flammable
vapours or li uids are used or stored.
20. Use this heater only as described in the instruction manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
21. Only operate the heater when somebody is within the heat radius. This saves energy as the air of the
surrounding area is not heated, only the objects and people which are inside the area.
22. Repair work or any necessary lamp replacements are to be carried out by a ualified electrician, cus-
tomer services or an authorised dealer.
23. In order to adjust the emitting direction, turn the appliance off and allow it to cool down.
24. Please observe the safety clearance distances.

•
Only a horizontal assembly is al-
lowed for the heat-advertising-
combination.
•Do not fit the heater near normally
flammable parts. It is absolutely es-
sential to adhere to the safety min-
imal clearances!
•The mounting height, measured
from the lower edge of the radia-
tor's casing, should not be inferior
to 1.80 m. However, on the other
hand, it should not exceed 2.25 m
either because otherwise, the effect
of the heater will be strongly im-
paired.
•The minimum distance from a
lit-up surface of 900 mm is to be
adhered to. Adhere to the safety
clearances in general, and also for
use under an awning!
•Mount the heater only with suitable
mounting material on solid, sus-
tainable, normally flammable sur-
face.
•Flammable surfaces have to be pro-
tected from heat through relevant
and appropriate measures.
•The distance from the casing to a
lateral wall must amount to at least
150 mm.
•Do not mount directly underneath
sockets, distribution boxes, switch-
es or electric cables. The socket
should be near the thermal radia-
tor's side - Minimum distance 100
mm.

Installation notes

Safety guidelines
•
Never operate the e uipment without supervision. Do not use the heater with a program selection
switch, a timer or another control unit that switches the e uipment on automatically.
•
Electrical installations and repairs are to be carried out only by ualified electricians.
•
There is fire hazard when the e uipment is covered.
•
Attention! Please take care that the radiation emission opening is not facing upwards allowing water
and dirt to collect in the appliance.
•
In order to adjust the emitting direction, switch off the e uipment and leave it to cool down.
•
Do not operate the e uipment without the protective grid. Attention - danger of burns!
•
Do not look directly for a long time, as well as from a short distance, at the „infrared lamp“ when it is in
operation! This could lead to eye damage.
•
Infrared halogen lamps are sensitive to substances containing sodium. Direct skin contact (touching with
the fingers) reduces the lamp's life cycle and is to be avoided.
•
The e uipment is designed for both interior and exterior use.
•
The heat-light-combination should not be installed near flammable materials
•
Only operate the heater when somebody is within the heat radius. This saves energy as the air of the
surrounding area is not heated, only the objects and people which are inside the area.
•
Particular attention is to be paid while cleaning the reflector. It is imperative to switch off the power
supply beforehand! Disconnect appliance from the mains. Do not remove the protective grid! Allow the
housing to cool down. Wipe the housing over with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use detergents. Never
submerge the appliance in li uids or hose the appliance down.

•
Mounting of heat-light-combination with brackets on solid, stable, normally flammable under surface.
•Consider the mounting material according to the under surface.
•Mounting material is not delivered, as different under surfaces re uire different types of mounting ma-
terial.
•Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, etc. and curtains at
least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear of the
heater (sides and rear restrictions apply to location dedicated heaters only.)
•Remove the two knurled-head screws at the side
•Remove the M6 hexagon nut with a wrench
•mount the bracket horizontally to the wall or ceiling
•Please note that the offset of the latching noses at one side of the bracket determines the direction of
installation. The cable outlet must always be opposite the offset latching nose of the bracket
•Latch the radiator in the clamp, fasten and tighten the M6 nut and then secure with the knurled head
screws
•It may happen that surface to which the radiator is fastened, e.g., wood or similar material (wall panel)
may become darker after some time.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Cleaning
•First disconnect appliance from power supply!
•Allow housing to cool down.
•After this, wipe the housing over with a soft, damp cloth.
•Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents.
•Infrared-halogen lamps are sensitive to substances containing sodium. Direct skin contact (touching with
fingers) reduces the lamp's life cycle and is to be avoided.
•Never submerge the appliance in li uids or hose the appliance down. Danger to life!
•The reflector should be cleaned regularly from the outside with a soft, dry brush!
Troubleshooting

Problem: Appliance cannot be turned on.
•Models with a switch have to be switched on after being connected to the power supply.
•Have you tested your fuse rating? For a trouble-free operation of the heater, you will re uire a sufficient
fuse rating of 15 Ampere (time lag). This can be determined by a ualified electrician.
•Please check if the infrared halogen lamp is broken. If so, please contact your customer services or re-
tailer.
Problem: The appliance does not heat sufficiently.
•Please check the emitting angle. The objects to be warmed should be located directly inside the radia-
tion field.
•Please check the distance and mounting height of the heater and their compliance with these instruc-
tions.
•The capacity of the heater is not strong enough. Please compare the area to be heated as stated in the
technical data as well as the following table of efficiency.

Problem: The IR halogen lamp no longer gives off heat.
•The average life cycle amounts to 5000 hrs for IR halogen lamps.
•If the life performance has expired, please contact your customer services or retailer.

out by a ualified electrician.
