This series of mainboards features an integration of the powerful In-

tel 775-pin PU (including P4 eleron D) and the North Bridge Intel

915G. The 775- pin PU is a rapid execution engine providing 800/

533MHz system bus, while North Bridge Intel 915G is a high perfor-

mance integrated chipset providing Dual hannel DDR 400/333 SDRAM

memory interface, DMI (Direct Media interface), VGA interface as well

as P I Express bus up to x16.

Integrated with North Bridge Intel 915G, South Bridge Intel I H6 of

B5A-FG supports the LP I/O, upstream DMI, P I interface (including

IEEE 1394a and Gigabit LAN), IDE interface, Serial ATA interface, USB

2.0 interface, A ’-Link interface and the interrupt control, while South

Bridge I H6R of B5A-FGR is integrated with the additional SATA RAID

interface.

This chapter is to introduce to users every advanced function of this

high performance integration.

1. We recommend to install your PU before any other components.

For detailed installation instructions of processor, you can also refer

to the pamphlet enclosed in your PU package.

2. Installing a cooling fan with a good heat sink is a must for proper

heat dissipation for your PU. Get ready an appropriate fan with

heat sink for proper installation. Improper fan and installation will

damage your PU.

3. In case PU Vcore, PU clock or Frequency Ratio is adjustable on

board, please follow the instructions described in the User’s manual

for proper setup. Incorrect setting will cause damage to your PU.
