1. PREPARATIONS
Equipment used
• Personal Computer (Note 1)
• B-L Control Box (J-6082-774-A)
(Supplied with D-sub 15-pin cable)
• AC cable (Sold on the market)
• RS-232C Cable (D-sub 9-pin (Male with securing screws), D-sub 9-pin (Female with securing screws)) Straight type (Sold on the market)
• USB to serial cable (D-sub 9-pin (Male)) (Sold on the market)
• Lens adjustment program (BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe) (Note 2)
Note 1: Personal computer must have the condition that Windows XP/Vista/7 runs normally and USB is connectable.
Note 2: Obtain the lens adjustment program (BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe) from the TISS homepage.

1-2. Installation of Lens Adjustment Program
1. Download the file “BLG-TestProgramV[][][].zip”from the TISS homepage, save and extract it.
2. Save
“BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe”in an arbitrary folder.
Note: The version of “BLG-TestProgram”may be updated without notice.
1-3. Start of Lens Adjustment Program
1. Mount a lens to be tested to the lens mount block.
2. Connect the D-sub 15-pin cable to the lens mount block, and turn on the B-L Control Box.
3. Start
“BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe”.

4. Click [Open] to connect communication with the B-L Control Box.
Note: When the B-L Control Box or personal computer to be used is started for the first time, a password must be entered.

When the password input window opens, ask HQ about password. In this case, the ID shown in “COM / USER Characteristic Number”must be
informed (“Yd DG A AH T J”in the example above).
Since this ID number is unique to the B-L Control Box and personal computer, if a password is used for another B-L Control Box or personal
computer, another password is necessary.
5. Enter a password and click [OK]. Connection to the lens mount block is established and the [Power] button is made active.

2. PROJECTIVE RESOLVING POWER CHECK
2-1. Setting of Lens Test Projector
Equipment
• Lens Test Projector (J-6082-778-A) and Variable Transformer (Output voltage: AC 100 V)
Note: Connect the variable transformer (Output voltage: AC 100 V) to the Lens Test Projector.
• Screen (Art paper)
• Tape measure
• Plane mirror (For SLRs)
1. Connect the B-L Control Box with the personal computer and the Lens Test Projector.
2. Attach the lens to be tested to the Lens Test Projector, and set the equipment as shown in the figure below.
3. Turn the fan switch of the Lens Test Projector to ON.
4. Turn the lamp switch of the Lens Test Projector to ON.
5. To set the lens surface and the screen in parallel, align the plane mirror with the center projected image on the screen and adjust the
lens projector position so that the reflected light illuminates the lens to be tested.

2-2. Projective Resolving Power Checking Method
Note: With respect to focal length and projection distance when checking the projection resolution, check “Projective Resolving Power Check”in the ser-
vice manual of each model.
1. Start the lens adjustment program “BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe”.

2. When [Open] is clicked and communication between personal computer and B-L Control Box is connected, the button name changes to
[Close] and the [Power] button is made active.
3. Click [Power] to supply power to the lens to be tested. At this time, confirm that both of the two LEDs on the B-L Control Box light. (If
either or none of them does not light, there is a problem.)

Note: Before detaching the lens after power is supplied, be sure to click [Power] again and confirm that the two LEDs go out.
4. Select “Center Hold”from the steady shot selection menu, and click [Steady Shot].
5. Align the plane mirror with the center projected image on the screen, and confirm again that the reflected light illuminates the center
of the lens to be tested. If the reflected light position is deviated, re-adjust the lens projector position.
6. Select
“Open”from the iris selection menu, and click [Iris].

7. To change the zoom position with the zoom lens, set the zoom position to the specified value.
Manual zoom: Set the zoom position manually.
Motorized zoom: Set the focal length and zoom speed from the lens adjustment program, and click [Zoom(Focal Dist.)].
(If a time-out error occurs, increase the zoom speed.)

8. Set the projection distance of the lens projector to the specified value for each model.
Note: For the projection distance, refer to the service manual of each model.
9. Bring the projector into focus so that fine lines of the center projected image (yʼ= 0) on the screen can be clearly seen as much as pos-
sible by operating the program screen.

(1) Select “JOG”from the focus menu for the relevant model.

(3) Adjust the focus position with [Near] and [Far] while selecting “Focus Step”and “Low”/“Mid”/“High”, and then click [OK] to close
the focus JOG window.
10. Read the value of the number of projective resolving power lines (maximum resolving power) of the center projected image (yʼ= 0).
11. Read the value (the number of projective resolving power lines) of the thinnest line (resolution limit) that allows recognition of contrast
of the saggital (S) image and meridional (M) image (three lines) of the peripheral projected image (yʼ= 6, 9, 12, etc.).
Note 1: The measurement position varies with model. Refer to the service manual of each model.
Note 2: Be careful of spurious resolution when checking the resolution limit.
Spurious resolution is a phenomenon where fine lines beyond resolving power are visible as black and white stripes as if resolution is made.
In this case, black and white of three stripes are reversed and seen as if they are two or four lines in some cases. Be careful not to confuse
this phenomenon with the resolution limit.

12. Change the focal length and projection distance of the lens to be tested (in the case of zoom), and confirm that the number of projective
resolving power lines of the S image and M image meets the reference value at each focus and projection distance using the same pro-
cedure.
Reference value: Depends on each model. Refer to the service manual of each model.
13. If the reference value is not met in checking the projective resolving power, adjust the Lens Test Projector.
Note: The adjustment method and the reference value vary with each model. Refer to the service manual of each model to make the adjustment.
2-3. Finishing projective resolving power check
1. Click [Power] to turn off the power to the lens.
2. Confirm that the two LEDs on the B-L Control Box are not lit.
3. Click [Close] to disconnect communication between personal computer and B-L Control Box.
4. Click [Finish] to exit the program.
5. Turn the lamp switch of the Lens Test Projector to OFF.
6. When the Lens Test Projector is cooled down after several minutes, turn the fan switch of the Lens Test Projector to OFF.
3. FLANGE BACK CHECK
Equipments and Tools
• Flange back adjustment jig (J-6082-563-A)
• Siemens star chart (J-6080-875-A)
• Camera (NEX-5)
• 40 inch LCD monitor (Full HD)
3-1. Preparations
1. Set the siemens star chart on the flange back adjustment jig.
Note: Set the siemens star chart with the center to be 200 to 400 lux or 35 to 65 cd/m2.
For the siemens star chart, use a light source free from flickering.
2. On TELE end, set the distance from the lens of flange back adjustment jig to the lens to be tested to be within 10 mm.
3. Manually focus to make the center of the siemens star chart match with the center of the LCD.
4. Set the camera on the following mode.
Movie: AVCHD
5. Reset the lens to be tested. (Set the focus to be ∞)
* Do not touch the focus ring.

1. Capture a moving image of chart with the above settings.
Note: When a zoom lens is used, capture it while changing the focal distance arbitrarily.
Stop the zoom operation at each focal distance to capture the moving image.
3-3. Flange Back Check
1. Play back the movie captured in section 3-2 on a LCD monitor.
* Check that there is no notable image blur, center shifting, image shaking or image jumping.

Note 1: パソコンはWindows XP/Vista/7が正常に動作し，USB接続が可能であること。
Note 2: レンズ 調 整 プログラム（BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe）はTISSホームページより入手してください。
1-1. 機器の接続
使用機器を下図のように接続する。

1-2. レンズ調整プログラムのインストール
1. TISSホームページよりファイル「BLG-TestProgramV[][][].zip」をダウンロードして解凍する。
2. 「BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe」を任意のフォルダに保存する。
Note: 「BLG-TestProgram」のバージョンは更新されることがあります。
1-3. レンズ調整プログラムの起動
1. 被 検レンズ をレンズマウント部 にマウントする。
2. D-sub 15ピンケーブルをレンズマウント部に接続し，B-L コントロールボックスの電源を入れる。
3. 「BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe」を起動する。

4. [Open]をクリックしてB-L コントロールボックスとの通信を接 続する。
Note: 使用するB-L コントロールボックスまたはパソコンで 初めて起 動した場 合は，パスワードの入力が必要となります。

パスワード入力画面が表れたらパスワードをHQに問い合わせてください。この際，“COM / USER Characteristic Number”に表示されるIDを知ら
せる必 要があります。（上図の例では“Yd DGA A H T J”）
このIDはB-L コントロールボックスとパソコン固有の番号のため，別のB-L コントロールボックスまたは パソコンで使 用する場 合 は別 途パスワー
ド確認が必要となります。
5. パスワードを入力して[OK]をクリックするとレンズ 部と接続し，[Power]ボタンがアクティブとなる。

2. 投影解像力の確認
2-1. レンズ投影器の設置
使用機器
• レンズ 投 影 器（J-6082-778-A）およびスライダック（出力電圧: AC 100V）
Note: レンズ 投 影 器 は ，スライダック（出力電圧: AC 100V）を接続して使用してください。
• スクリーン（アートポスト紙）
• 巻尺
• 平面ミラー（SLR用等）
1. B-L コントロールボックスとパソコン，レンズ 投 影 器 を接 続 する。
2. 被 検レンズ をレンズ 投 影 器 に 取り付 け，使用機器を下図のように設定する。
3. レンズ 投 影 器 のファンスイッチを ONにする。
4. レンズ 投 影 器 のランプスイッチを ONにする。
5. レンズ面とスクリーンを並行にするために，スクリーン上の中心 投 影 像 に平 面ミラ ーを重ね 合わせ，反射光が被検レンズの中心を照らすよ
うにレンズ 投 影 器の 位置を調 整する。

2-2. 投影解像力の確認方法
Note: 投影解像力の確認を行う際の焦点距離および投影距離は，各 機 種 のサ ービスマニ ュアルを 参 照して “ 投 影 解 像 力の 確 認 ”の 項目 を 確 認してください。
1. レンズ 調 整 プログラム「BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe」を起動する。

2. [Open]をクリックし，パソコンとB-L コントロールボックスの通信が 接続されるとボタン名が[Close]に変わり，[Power]ボタンがアクティブ
になる。
3. [Power]をクリックし，被検レンズへ通電する。
このときB-L コントロールボックスの2つのLEDが両方とも点灯したことを確認する。（点灯しない場合は何らかの不具合があります。）

Note: 通電後にレンズを外す場合は，必ずもう一度[Power]をクリックして，2つのLEDが消灯したことを確認してから外してください。
4. 手振れ選択メニューより“Center Hold”を選択し，[Steady Shot]をクリックする。
5. スクリーン上の中心 投 影 像 に平 面ミラーを重 ね 合わ せ，反射光が被検レンズの中心を照らしていることを再確認する。もし 位 置 が ず れて い
る場合はレンズ投影器の位置を調整する。
6. 絞り選択メニューより“Open”を選択し，[Iris]をクリックする。

7. ズームレンズ でズーム位 置を 変 更 する 場 合 は ，指定された値にズーム位置を設定する。
手動ズーム： 手動にてズーム位置を設定する。
電動ズーム： レンズ調整プログラムより焦点距離とズーム速度を設定し，[Zoom(Focal Dist.)]をクリックする。
（タイムアウトエラーになる場合はズーム速度を上げてください。）

8. レンズ 投 影 器 の 投 影 距 離 を 機 種ごとに 指 定され た値 に設 置 する。
Note: 投影距離は各機種のサービスマニュアルを参照してください。
9. プログラム画面を操作して，スクリーン上の 中心 投 影 像（y'=0）が出来るだけ細かな線まで鮮明に見えるようにピントを合わせる。

フォーカスの設定方法：
Note: フォーカス設 定用ボタンは機 種により異なります。どちらのボタンを使うかについては下図を参照してください。
下記レンズでのみ使用
・SEL16F28
・SEL1855
・SEL18200 OFFにする

(1) 対象機種用のフォーカスメニューから“JOG”を選択する。
(2) [Focus]または[Focus(Target Dist.)]をクリックすると，フォ ーカス JOG操作画面が表示される。

(3) “Focus Step”と“低 速(Low)”/“中速(Mid)”/“高速(High)”を選択しながら[Near]と[Far]でフォーカス位置を調整したら，[OK]をクリックし
てフォーカスJOG画面を閉じる。
10. 中心投影像（y'=0）の投影解像力本数（最高解像力）の数値（投影解像力本数）を読み取る。
11. 周辺投影像（y'=6, 9, 12など）のサジタル（S）像，およびメリジオナル（M）像（3本の線）の明暗が確認可能な最も細かな線（解像限界）
の数値（投影解像力本数）を読み取る。
Note 1: 測定位置は各機種により異なります。各機種のサービスマニュアルを参照してください。
Note 2: 解像限界確認時は，偽解像に注意してください。
偽解像とは解像力を超えた細かな線が，あたかも解像しているかのように黒/白の条線として見える現象です。
この場 合，下図のように3本の条線の白黒が反転して2本または4本に見えることがありますので，解像限界と混同しないように注意してくださ
い。

12. 被検レンズの焦点距離および投影距離を変更し（ズームの場合），同様の手順で各焦点/投影距離でS像およびM像の投影解像力本数が
参考値を満足していることを確認する。
参考値:機 種により異なります。各機種のサービスマニュアルを参照してください。
13. 投影解像力の確認で参考値を満足していない場合には，調整を行う。
Note: 調整 方法および参 考値は各機 種により異なります。各機種のサービスマニュアルを参照して調整を行ってください。
2-3. 投影解像力確認の終了方法
1. [Power]をクリックしてレンズへの通電をOFFにする。
2. B-L コントロールボックスの2つのLEDが消灯していることを確認する。
3. [Close]をクリックしてパソコンとB-L コントロールボックスの通信を切断する。
4. [Finish]をクリックしてプログラムを終了する。
5. レンズ 投 影 器 のランプスイッチを OFFにする。
6. 数分後，レンズ 投 影 器 の 温 度 が 下がったらファンスイッチを OFFにする。
3. フランジバックの確 認
使用機器/治工具
• フランジバック調整用治具 （J-6082-563-A）
• ジーメンススターチャート （J-6080-875-A）
• カメラ （NEX-5）
• 40インチ液晶モニター（Full HD）
3-1. 準備
1. フランジバック調 整 用治具にジーメンススターチャートをセットする。
注意：ジーメンススターチャートの中心部で200〜400luxまたは35〜65cd/m2になるようにしてください。
ジーメンススターチャートは光源ムラがないようにしてください。
2. TELE端にしたとき，フランジバック調 整用治具のレンズから被検レンズの先端まで 10mm 以内にセットする。
3. マニュアルフォーカスにてLCDの中心に，ジーメンススターチャートの中心が来るように正対させる。
4. カメラを以 下の モ ードに設 定 する。
動画：AVCHD
5. 再度，被検レンズを装着し直す。（フォーカスが∞となる）
※フォーカスリングには絶対に触れないでください。

3-2. フランジバック確認用映像の撮影
1. 上記の設定でチャートを動画撮影する。
Note: ズームレンズの 場 合 は任 意 に焦 点 距 離 を 変えな がら 撮 影 をしてくださ い。
その際ズームの操作は、各焦点距離で一回ずつ止めながら撮影してください。
3-3. フランジバックの確認
1. 上記で撮影した映像を液晶モニターで再生する。
※著しいピントボケ，中心像移動，像ユレ，像トビがないことを確 認してください。
