Twice A Week - Minimum
You must have 6” of clearance on all sides of the machine
The unit requires this spacing to prevent hot air from recirculating into the
machine and causing poor freezer operation.
CREATED by CELCO INC 3
Please Note –Spaceman Lubricant and Stera Sheen Sanitizer (Milkstone
Remover) are both approved for lubricating and sanitizing your Spaceman
machine. If you wish to use another product, please call Celco or Spaceman
for approval as not all products are compatible with Spaceman machines.
Thank You

Drain Product From The Machine
If the unit was in overnight/standby mode removal of the product is easier as the cylinder
product is not frozen, only chilled.
Remove the lid from
the hopper and take
out the air tube. Set
the air tube into the
container for cleaning
If the unit has
product in it, press
RESET
then wash. If the
machine was just in
use and the cylinder
product is frozen let
the wash cycle run
for a minute or two.
With a bucket under the dispensing
assembly, pull down the draw handles
to dispense the product. If the product
is to be kept, draw one handle at a
time, pouring product into separate
containers, and then place the product
into a fridge. Once product slows
down press RESET.

Cleaning The Hopper On The Gravity Fed Unit
Pour clean cold
water into the
hopper to rinse
out the product.
Allow the water to
drain into the
cylinder and then
add more water
to half fill the
hopper
Using the brush
kit, swish the
water around to
remove the
product residue
from the sides
and bottom.
Wash brush in
clean water.
Use a smaller
brush to clean the
tube leading from
the hopper to the
cylinder Press RESET then
WASH and wait for
2 minutes
CREATED by CELCO INC 7
With the wash
mode still on, place
a clean bucket
under the
discharge assembly
door and draw off
the water from the
hoppers
Once the water
slows down to a
trickle, press
RESET to stop
the wash cycle
Add another
bucket of cold
clean water to the
hopper to clean it
this time
Use the brushes
to clean the inside
of the hopper
CREATED by CELCO INC 8
Press RESET and
then WASH and
let it run for 5
minutes
With the wash
mode still on, place
a clean bucket
under the
discharge assembly
door and draw off
the water from the
hoppers
You are now
washing the
machine

1, 3, or 5 draw handles –1, 2, or 3 hoppers.
All units are cleaned and sanitized the same way. Machines with multiple
handles and hoppers will have more parts to clean.
In this powerpoint we are cleaning a 3 draw handle unit.
You Are Now Ready To Take The Door Assembly Apart
CREATED by CELCO INC 11
Disassembling The Dispensing Door
Unscrew the end of the retention pin (can be done at the left or right end)
Pull the retention pin from the other end that still has the screw on and remove
each of the handles one by one
Put the handles and retention pin and screws aside for washing
CREATED by CELCO INC 12
Unscrew the 4 hand screws on the 4 corners of the door.
If your machine has screws of different lengths, the 2 long are the top and
2 short are at the bottom.
Place into your container for cleaning.

Remove dispensing door assembly from the cylinders.
Slide the beater guide from the beater rod
(also known as the trombone)
1 Hopper –1 Beater Rod
2 Hoppers –2 Beater Rods
3 Hoppers –3 Beater Rods
Put the beater guides into the container to wash.
Using the O-Ring
remover that comes
in the machine,
remove the gaskets
from the door.
These could be black
or blue. Place in the
container for
washing.
CREATED by CELCO INC 14
Remove the draw valves and prime plugs by pushing from
one end until they pop out.
Place the parts into the container for washing.
The O-Rings need to be removed for washing.
To keep the correct O-Ring to the correct part, remove
while you are washing each piece so that you can replace
at the same time.

of the door
assembly.
Place in the
container for
washing.

Disassemble Beater Assembly and Drive Shaft
Remove the
beater assembly
from the
cylinder.
Remove the scraper blades
from the beater (also known
as the auger). Separate the
scraper blade clips from the
scraper blades.
Remove the
beater shoes
(2 per beater).
Place all the above items into the container for washing
CREATED by CELCO INC 16
Reach inside the cylinder and remove the draft shaft. Separate the
gasket from the drive shaft and place all parts into the container for
washing. If the gasket is not attached to the drive shaft when you
take it out, reach back inside and retrieve it
CREATED by CELCO INC 17
Wash the cylinder with a wet cloth. You can
use the brushes also to get inside to the back.
Wipe dry with a cloth.
CREATED by CELCO INC 18
Remove the drip tray from the front of the machine. Wash, dry and place
back onto the screws.
NOTE: Leaving this to the end allows any dripping of product or water
from cleaning the machine to be caught and not spill onto the floor.
CREATED by CELCO INC 19Celco Inc. 19
Wash all the parts in food safe soap and water, rinse well and dry all parts before
assembling the machine.
Remove and wash O-Rings and put back onto each part as you go. This helps prevent
loss of O-Rings and mixing up the O-Rings

You are now ready to reassemble your machine
