1 Preparations
1.1 Scope of delivery
•iDorSS-5100 device
•2 release tools
optional
•Surface mount housing
•Spring-loaded mounting brackets for hollow-wall mounting
1.2 Location
•Suitable for indoor and outdoor use ( -4°F bis +140°F temperature range).
•Due to the sunlight readable display, the device is qualified for high ambient light
intensity. Sunlight (sunrise and sunset) pointing directly into the lens has to be
avoided:
•Recommended mounting height: approx. 61.8” middle of back housing



1.3 Interfaces
All connections are located on the rear of the panel
1.3.1 Ethernet, Power over Ethernet
Ethernet connection through Ethernet jack. Use a PoE-enabled
switch or a PoE injector for power supply over Ethernet (PoE).
1.3.2 2Wire-Connection
If the unit was ordered with the 2Wire option, connect the 2
installation wires to the 2Wire terminals. In case of long distances
ensure a sufficient AWG cable. (www.idorss.com)
1.3.3 Circuit board connections
•Ethernet, 10/100BaseT with RJ45-jack
•2-wire-jack (with optional 2Wire Kit)
•Wiegand or RS485 or UART Tx/Rx
•2 x Trigger inputs
•1 x Relais - e.g. door release
•USB-OTG for extensions!

Inputs are biased HIGH and need to be pulled LOW to GND for trigger!

2 Wall mounting
Flush mounting
The dimensions are width 3.74” x height 7.76” and a total depth of 1.42”.
Wall cutout dimensions are 7.2” x 3.27”.
The unit protrudes approx. 0.31” from the wall.
For uneven surfaces we recommend to surface mount the unit. When flush
mounting it, make sure the tabs on the rear housing are positioned on the top and
bottom of the wall surface.

Loosen with the release tool the back
box: Insert the tool with the lugs into
the respective openings on the left
and right and press unit the front part
is released.

Front part can now be lifted off.
Attention - In case the units is still
connected !



The back box can be used as a drilling
template.

Cable inlet through the large round

Fasten the back box

Connect the cable to the circuit board
on the front part.

Fasten the front part to the back till it
clips in.



Surface mounting (optional)
The surface mount procedure is the same except no wall cutout is
necessary. The device is screwed directly onto the wall. The back part
consists of the surface mount housing.
Hollow-wall mounting (optional)
The Hollow-wall mounting procedure is the same as the flush mounting procedure.
Wall cutout dimensions are 7.2” x 3.27”. The back part consists of
a pre-assembled spring plates. The spring plates must be led
through the wall outlet. The springs are tightened by tightening
the screws.
When Hollow-wall mounted it needs to be assured that the upper and lower flaps of
the back box stay outside the wall opening. The housing protrudes over the wall
surface.
