to ensure that it reaches you in perfect condition. However, in the
unlikely event that you should experience a problem, or if you require

EXPRESS WARRANTY STATEMENT - HEATER GROUP
You are not required to do anything to register your heater purchase.
Please attach the purchase receipt to this manual and ensure both are
kept safe. We hope you enjoy your new heater, and if you have any
problems call customer service on the above phone numbers. Do not
return to place of purchase.
Smart Marketing Group Pty Ltd (SMG) warrants that this heater will be
free from manufacturing faults or defects for 12 months from the date
of purchase, providing original purchase receipt is kept and shown
when needed and is subject to the terms and conditions below.
If a warranty fault appears within the warranty period, SMG reserves
the right to replace or repair the product. In the event that SMG
chooses to replace the product, this original warranty will expire
at the original date. If the product includes various accessories or
components, only the defective accessory or component will be
replaced or repaired.
SMG reserves the right to replace defective parts of the product with
parts and components of similar quality, grade and composition where
an identical part or component is not available.
Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished products
of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be
used to repair the products.

As soon as you have purchased the heater, we recommend that
you check to make sure it is intact and that you read the operating
instructions carefully before using it. The purchase receipt for this
product is to be retained and must be presented if making a claim
under the terms of the Smart Marketing Group (SMG) warranty. Bank
account statements are not acceptable for proof of purchase.
This warranty does not cover heaters intended for hire or use in
commercial applications or in commercial premises. The warranty
will under no circumstances extend to reimbursement or payment of
damages, whether direct, indirect or consequential. The warranty is
void if there is evidence the heaters has been modified or tampered
with in any way or used with unauthorised accessories without our
consent.
SMG declines any responsibility or liability whatsoever arising from
misuse or abuse, negligent handling of the heaters or if the product
has not been installed or failure to comply with the relevant safety,
operating, setting and maintenance instructions (see further in this
manual).
The warranty does not extend to installation or disconnection costs.
Any item sent freight forward/collect for repair will be refused.
Warranty repairs are free of charge, provided the appliance is
delivered to our service department or authorised service agent. The
heater will need to be returned, adequately protected in a box. SMG
will not be responsible for any in-transit loss or damage. Assistance
under the warranty will only be made available if the request is made
to our customer service team on the contact numbers listed below and
proof of purchase is provided.
This is a repair only warranty you will need to take the heater to the
authorised service agent after contacting our customer
service centre.
If the product includes various accessories or components, only the
defective accessory or component will be replaced or repaired.
SMG reserves the right to replace defective parts of the product with
parts and components of similar quality, grade and composition where
an identical part or component is not available.
Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished products
of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be
used to repair the products.
Damage caused by third party accessories is not covered
under this warranty.
Damage caused to attached equipment or third party accessories will
not be covered under this warranty.
Rust and corrosion are not covered under this warranty.
If a warranty fault is found the freight cost will be credited to the
owner. If no fault is found the product will be returned and any costs
associated with the service will be charged to the owner.
Blockages caused by spider webs, insects, dirt, accumulated dust are
not covered by warranty. SMG reserves the right to replace or repair
the appliance within the warranty period. Parts found to be defective
due to a manufacturing default will be replaced free of charge.
In the event of SMG choosing to replace the appliance, the warranty
will expire at the original date of purchase. If no warranty fault is
found the owner will be advised and the product will be returned and
any costs associated with the service will be charged to the owner.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund
for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality
and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits of
this warranty are in addition to any rights and remedies imposed by
Australian State and Federal legislation that cannot be excluded.
In New Zealand, this SMG warranty is in addition to the conditions
and guarantees which are mandatory as implied by the New Zealand

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY RULES
1. DO NOT spray aerosols in the vicinity of this appliance while
it is in operation.
2. Always locate gas cylinder at rear of heater.
3. Never direct airflow towards the gas cylinder.
4. Use only in a well ventilated space of minimum volume of
190 cubic metres.
5. Minimum clearances from combustibles:
Side 600mm Above 600mm Rear 600mm.
6. The area in front of the heater must be kept clear at
all times.
7. DO NOT place articles on or against this appliance.
8. Any repair must be carried out by a qualified service person.
9. The heater must be inspected before use and at least
annually by a qualified service person.
10. It is imperative that the control compartment, burners and
circulating passageways of the heater be kept clean and dry.
11. The appliance is suitable for use with propane gas only.
Ensure that the available gas is correct.
The Appliance shall be used in accordance with the Manufacturers
operating instructions, local gas fitting regulations, municipal building
codes and any other relevant statutory regulations.
The Appliance is an industrial air heater which utilises fresh air and
emits products of combustion. To function correctly the heater requires
a continuous change of air. The heater must only be used outdoors
protected from the weather or in industrial areas where continuous
fixed ventilation is guaranteed.
1. Use only in a well ventilated area of Minimum room volume of 190
cubic metres.
2. Proper clearance from combustible materials must be maintained
at all times.
Minimum Clearance from Combustibles:
Side 600mm Above 600mm Rear 600 mm
The area in front of the heater must be kept clear at all times.
Combustible materials are considered to be wood, compressed paper,
plant fibres, plastic, plexiglas or other materials capable of being
ignited and burned. Such materials shall be considered combustible
even though flame proofed, fire-retardant treated or plastered.
Additional clearance may be required for glass, painted surfaces and
other materials which may be damaged by radiant or convection heat.
3. Heaters must be placed on a level and adequate footing and be
readily accessible.
4. The gas manifold supply pressure must be regulated at 150 kPa
utilising only the regulator supplied with the heater.
5. The appliance must be inspected before each use, and at least
annually by a qualified service person.
a. The appliance area must be kept clear and free of combustible
materials, gasoline and other flammable vapours and liquids.
b. Gas orifices and burner must be kept clear of dirt and
cobwebs. Flow of combustion air through the rear of the
heater must not be obstructed. Cleaning with a soft brush
before use and at least every six months is recommended.
c. All gas connections should be checked for leaks utilising a
soap solution. Never use a flame for this purpose.
6. The hose assembly should be properly located out of pathways
where people may trip over it. The hose must be protected from
contact with hot or sharp surfaces both during use and while in
storage. The hose assembly should be visually inspected prior to
each use of the heater. If excessive abrasion or wear is evident,
or the hose is cut, it must be replaced prior to operating the
heater. The replacement hose assembly may be obtained from the
manufacturer.
7. DO NOT use any pressure regulator or hose assembly other
than those supplied with the appliance. Replacement pressure
regulator and hose assembly must be those specified.
Replacement parts may be obtained from the manufacturer or your
local sales representative.
8. Operation and storage of this heater must conform with local
codes or, in the absence of local codes, with AS/NZS 1596
Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases.
9. This heater is designed to operate with a standard 9Kg propane
cylinder with Approved Cylinder Connection.
10. The valve outlet must be maintained in good condition. When the
cylinder is not in use, be sure to cover it with a dust cap. A leak
test should be performed with soapy water whenever connecting
a new cylinder. NEVER use a match to test for leaks.
11. The propane cylinder must be turned off whenever the heater is
not in use. When the heater is to be stored indoors, the propane
cylinder and the heater must be disconnected and the cylinder
stored in accordance with AS/NZS 1596 Storage and Handling of
Liquefied Gases. (i.e.: Not indoors, but in a dry and well ventilated
area.)

CYLINDER CARE
Gas Inlet Connection
Gas inlet connection is a 3/8 internal flare located at the rear of
heater, suitable for connection to the hose assembly supplied with
heater.
Connecting to Cylinder
1. Ensure cylinder is in its full off position.
2. Check for any damage to either the cylinder or the hose. NEVER
attempt to use damaged equipment.
3. When connecting the hose to the cylinder tighten the nut to a
positive stop by hand or spanner.
4. Open cylinder valve fully. If a leak can be heard at either end of
the hose turn cylinder off and tighten joint. Wait five minutes
before re-testing and use a soapy water solution to check
the joint. If bubbles appear the connection will need to be re-
tightened.
Clothing or other flammable materials should not be placed on or near
the heater. Direct contact with these metal surfaces should be avoided
in order to prevent burns or clothing ignition.

Heater specifications can be found on the data label.
IMPORTANT NOTE
THE GAS CYLINDER MUST ALWAYS BE LOCATED
AT THE REAR OF THE HEATER. NEVER DIRECT AIR
FLOW TOWARDS THE CYLINDER.
Screw the coupling nut of regulator into the cylinder valve outlet.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Test Firing Heater
Test fire heater, following the lighting instructions on heater case.
Leak test all gas connections with soapy water. Soap bubbles indicate
gas leakage. DO NOT use a match to test for gas leaks.
WARNING: Improper adjustment, alteration, service or maintenance
can cause injury or property damage. Any modifications or adjustments
made to product without prior authority from the manufacturer will
void any warranty claims. Read the operating and maintenance
instructions thoroughly before servicing this equipment.

Lighting Instructions
* Remove any transit protection material.
1. Connect the hose and regulator.
2. Open the gas cylinder valve, check for leaks with a soapy water
solution.
3. Turn on fan by pressing Fan Switch (item 1) to ON.
WARNING: If the fan does not start DO NOT proceed with
ignition.
4. Press Gas Button (item 2) and keep depressed. At the same time
continually press the Igniter Button (item 3) until burner lights.
When burner lights keep button depressed for 10-20 seconds then
release, the burner should stay alight.
If burner fails to remain alight turn gas cylinder valve ‘OFF’
and Fan Switch (item 1) to ‘OFF’. Wait 5 minutes then repeat
procedure from step 2.
5. To turn heater off, turn gas cylinder valve ‘OFF’ and
Fan Switch (item 1) to ‘OFF’.
Emergency Shut Down
Close cylinder valve. Switch fan off.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
The following periodic maintenance should be carried out either by the
Manufacturer or by the User as indicated below.
Clean the Fan
The Fan Blades should be cleaned at least annually. This work should
be carried out by the Manufacturer or by authorised Service Personnel.
Method: Remove the self tapping screws and remove Heating Unit
from outer casing. Fan Blades can then be cleaned with cloth and
warm soapy water.
Note: If the heater is used in a dusty location cleaning should be
carried out on a regular basis.
Cleaning the Burner
Burners should be cleaned at least annually, usually at the same
time as the Fan Blades. This work should be carried out by the
Manufacturer or by authorised Service Personnel.
Method: Remove Heating Unit from outer casing as described above.
Burner Ports can then be cleaned using a small wire brush. Remove
any fluff or dust build-up around Burner intake and Injector.
Cleaning Air Intake
The main air intake at the rear of the heater should be cleaned on a
regular schedule. This work can be carried out by the user.
Method: Clean air intake slots with a soft brush.
Temperature Limit Devices
Temperature Limiting Devices should be tested annually by the
Manufacturer or by Authorised Service Personnel. Following
completion of testing the heater should be checked for satisfactory
operation.

Removal of Covers
Remove the self tapping screws and slide the Heating Unit from outer
housing, access to all components is then available.

The heater is supplied with a 220-240V AC electrical power cord with
a 3 pin plug. This plug must only be connected to an earthed power
supply.
IMPORTANT
This product is fitted with a sealed electrical connection plug that is
compatible with the heater, the mains supply for Australia and meets
the requirements of international standards. This heater must be
connected to a supply voltage that is equal to that stated on the rating
label. If the mains connection plug or power cord becomes damaged
it must be replaced with a complete assembly that is identical to the
original, and this must be replaced by an authorised service centre. If
in doubt always consult a qualified electrician.

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Do not use the heater in areas where there is a risk of explosion
or fire from flammable gases. Ensure that the heating area is kept
clear of combustible materials. Do not use the heater in damp areas,
without suitable ventilation.
• DO NOT move or relocate the heater when it is connected to mains
electricity supply.
• DO NOT clean the heater while it is on or plugged into the mains
power supply.
• DO NOT use the heater as a dryer.
• DO NOT touch any part of the heater while on, hot surfaces may
burn.
• Ensure the heater is not used in areas where flammable gases are
present, e.g. paint, petrol, etc.
• Always keep heater at least one metre (1m) from combustible
materials.
• Always allow the heater to cool, about half (1/2) hour after it has
been turned off, before cleaning the heater.
• DO NOT expose the heater to rain, or use in damp wet conditions.
• DO NOT use the heater within one metre (1m) of any water source.
• Always ensure that the power cord is fully extended and NOT in
contact with any part of the heater.
• Never use the heater if any part of it is damaged.
• Always ensure that the heater is kept clean and free from dust.
• Do not attempt to modify the heater, power cord or power plug in
any way.
• Ensure the heater is not left on when unattended.
SAFE OPERATION
Children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities should not be allowed to touch or operate heaters or touch
extension cords. All heaters should be kept out of reach of children
or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
preferably stored or locked in a secure cabinet or room when not in
use.
Do Not Abuse the Power Cord
Never yank or pull the power cord to disconnect it from the mains
supply socket. Never carry your heater by its power cord. Keep the
power cord away from heat, oil, solvents and sharp edges. If the power
cord becomes damaged have it replaced by an authorised service
facility.
