Troubleshooting
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Light does not switch ON nNo BUS voltage
nLight level set too low
nNo movement being detected
nCheck BUS voltage
nSlowly increase twilight
setting until light switches ON
nEnsure unobstructed sensor
vision
nCheck detection zone
Light does not switch OFF nRoom light level too bright
nStay-ON time still effective
n
Interference from unintended
sources of motion, e.g.: ceiling
fan, air-conditioning, ventilation,
open doors and windows
nReduce twilight setting
nWait until stay-ON time
elapses, reduce stay-ON
time if necessary
nM
ask out stationary sources
of interference by reducing
sensitivity
Sensor switches OFF in spite
of persons being present
nStay-ON time too short
nLight-level threshold too low
nIncrease stay-ON time
nChange twilight setting
Sensor does not switch OFF
quickly enough
nStay-ON time too long nReduce stay-ON time
Sensor does not switch ON
when persons are present
despite it being dark
nLux setting too low nSensor deactivated by
switch/button?
nSemi-automatic mode?
nIncrease light-level threshold
