Before using your new MP3 player, please
read this instruction manual to prevent
any damage. Put it away in a safe place for
future references.
IMPORTANT
Do not use the unit immediately after
transportation from a cold to warm place;
condensation problem may result.
Do not hit the unit while playback. Recorded
data may be damaged.
Do not store the unit near fire, places with
high temperature or in direct sunlight.
Do not operate or store the unit in places with
frequent static electricity or electrical noise
(e.g. speaker, TV set).
Clean only with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use
solvents.
IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE
USING THIS DEVICE
Sometimes when you plug the equipment into
an available USB port, the computer may not
recognize it. If this happen, try some of the
next options:

Unplug the equipment, wait a couple of
seconds, and plugging it again.
Plug the equipment in other available
USB port.
Restart the computer after plugging the
equipment.
Also, take a look on this
recommendations and obtain the best
performance on your equipment:
Do not remove the equipment when is in
use. Otherwise, may cause several
damages on the equipment and lost
important data.
Remove the equipment using the
software, first. Click on the left button of
the mouse over the icon Remove
hardware securely, located on the task
bar, and choose the equipment. Once
the system displays that you can remove
hardware securely, unplug from the USB
port.
Do not format the equipment.

FUNCTIONS CHART
BATTERY LIFE
The battery life can be different depending
of use conditions, the brand and the date of
manufacture.
In the LCD screen you will see the current
battery status, which can be one of the next
icons:

To install or change a battery:
1.- Remove the cover from the USB
connector.
2.- Slide the battery compartment cover.
3.- Place one battery (or remove first if
applies), paying attention to polarity.
4.- Replace the battery compartment cover
and the cover of the USB connector.
If you don’t press any button in a period of
two minutes, the device will shut off
automatically, in order to save energy.
HOW TO PLAY A SONG IN MP3, OR
WMA FORMAT
Your MP3 player has preloaded songs, if you
want to listen them, follow these steps:
1.- Plug in the included earphones or an
optional earphones in the right jack (earphone
symbol).

2.- Press and hold Play / Pause for 2 seconds
to power the MP3 player on.
3.- Press Mode button for 2 seconds to enter
to different menus.
4.- Slide Mode button to right or left to
positioning in Music menu. Then, press Mode
once again to select it.
5.- Press Play / Pause to playback. Track
name displays in the LCD screen.
6.- Adjust the Volume level using Volume
buttons.
7.- Slide Mode to select a track.
8.- If you want to turn the MP3 player off press
Play / Pause, a moving bar displays in the
screen, hold the button until you see the
message Bye Bye!!
Your MP3 player can play MP1, MP2, MP3,
and WMA audio formats.
When you jump from track to track, the
volume level will decrease, when the
selected track starts, the volume level will
be normal.

RECORDING VOICE MESSAGES
1.- Press and hold Play / Pause for 2 seconds
to turn the device on.
2.- Press Mode for 2 seconds to get access to
the menus.
3.- Slide Mode button to left or right in order to
find Record option.
4.- Press Mode to enter record menu, then
automatically begins the recording. In the
screen you will see the name of the
generated file.
5.- if you want to pause the recording, press
Play / Pause once, if you want to resume it,
press Play / Pause once again.
6.- Press Mode to finish the recording, then
the device will switch to Playback Mode.
7.- Press Play / Pause to listen the recorded
file.
VOICE MODE
1.- Press And hold Play / Pause for 2 seconds
to turn the device on.
2.- Press Mode for 2 seconds to get access to
the menus.
3.- Slide Mode button to the right or left until
you find Voice menu.

4.- Press Mode to enter Voice menu, in the
screen displays the word Voice.
5.- If you have recorded files, you will see the
name of each one.
6.- If you want to play one of those, use Mode
button sliding it to the left or right until you find
the required file.
7.- Then, press Play / Pause to playback.
SETTING MENU
Use this menu to configure the parameters of:
Equalizer
Repeat Mode
Contrast
Backlight
Power Set
Record Set
Language
1.- Press and hold Play / Pause for 2 seconds
to power the device on.
2.- Press Mode for 2 seconds to visualize the
menus.
3.- Slide Mode button to the left or right until
you find the Setting menu.

4.- Press Mode to open Setting menu.
5.- Slide Mode to left or right, in order to select
the desired option to modify.
6.- Press Mode once again to modify the
parameters.
7.- Once you have made the changes, press
Mode to store them in memory.
Equalizer
The MP3 player has 6 EQ mode: Normal,
Pop, Rock, Classic, Jazz, Bass.
To change the EQ, slide Mode button to left or
right, then press Mode to store the changes.
Repeat Mode
Normal: normal playback
Repeat one: repeats the current song,
indefinitely, until you press Stop button
Repeat all: repeats whole songs,
indefinitely, until you press Stop button
Shuffle repeat: Random playback, even
songs that previously listened

Dir normal: use this option to play all
contained songs in a directory, in
progressive order
Dir all normal: plays whole contained
songs in all the folders in the MP3
Dir shuffle repeat: plays whole songs in
the folders, randomly
Do not forget to press Mode to store the
changes in memory.
Contrast
Slide Mode button to change the contrast
level.
Press Mode to store the changes in memory.
Backlight
Slide Mode button to left or right to select the
backlight time, you have 4 options: 0 sec, 5
sec, 10 sec, deactivated .
To store the changes, press Mode button.

Power Set
This option allows you to choose how many
time you want for the Saving Energy function.
You have 4 options: Disable, 2Min, 10Min, 30
Min.
Slide Mode to left or right, to choose the
required option, then press Mode again to
store the changes in memory.
Record Set
Use this menu to select the bit rate of the
recorded file, you can chose between 32, 44,
64 and 88Kbps (higher bit rate, better quality
but bigger space in memory).
Slide Mode button to choose the desired
option, then press Mode once again to store
the changes.
Language
The menus of the MP3 player can configure
to be displayed in many languages, you can
choose between: Spanish, Italian,Portuguese,
Poland, English, French, Chinese
(Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), and
German.

To select a language, slide Mode button,
once you have founded the desired language,
press Mode once again, to store the changes
in memory.
If you want to leave the menus, just press
Play / Pause anytime, to back to normal
mode, or do not press any button for 20
seconds, automatically the system will
back to normal mode.

in order to power on the device.
2.- Then press Mode for 2 seconds to
visualize the menus.
3.- Slide Mode to left or right, until you find the
Info menu.
4.- Press Mode to get access to the menu, in
the screen you will see the Total Memory and
Free memory available in the MP3 player.
5.- Press Play button once to leave this menu.

FOLDER
Depending of the mode, you will see the
contain of the current folder.
If you want to play a specific file contained
in the folder:
1.- Slide Mode button to move through the
different files of the folder.
2.- If you found a file, press Mode, a dialog
box displays in the screen, select Play Now
and press Mode button to play the file.
If you want to delete a file:
1.- Slide Mode button to move through the
different files of the folder.
2.- If you found a file, press Mode, a dialog
box displays in the screen, select Delete?
3.- Press Mode button, if you want to delete
the file select Yes, if not, select No.
4.- Press Mode to confirm the selection, if you
chose Yes, you will se the word Delete in the
screen.

CONNECTING MP3 PLAYER INTO A
PC (USING WINDOWS XP)
Plug the MP3 player into a computer in order
to transfer songs and all kind of information.
Your device also works as a Flash Memory.
Make sure you install the required drivers
(Windows 98 and only), and software.
If the computer needs to be rebooted, do it.
1.- Lift the USB rubber cover on the player.
2.- Insert one of the USB cable extremes
(included) into your MP3 player tightly.
3.- Insert the opposite end of the connecting
cable to the USB socket on your computer.
4.- On your computer appears a window,
press Open Files; other window pop up and it
shows the contained files in your MP3.
5.- In the LCD screen displays an icon
showing the connection between the PC and
the MP3 player
6.- To remove the device, first do it using the
software. Click on the left button of the mouse
over the icon Remove hardware securely,
located in the task bar, and choose the player.

When the system displays that you can
remove hardware securely, unplug it from the
USB port.
When you connect the MP3 player into a
computer by first, time, always the system
will update some files, after this process
you can use the device normally.
Do not remove the MP3 player when is in
use. Otherwise, may cause several
damages on it and may lost important
data. The Company is not responsible for
any data loss.
If you use Windows 98, it is necessary to
install some drivers, which are contained
in the included Installation CD.
HOW TO TRANSFER FILES FROM
YOUR PC TO MP3 PLAYER
1.- Connect your MP3 to your PC using the
included USB cable.
2.- Use Windows Explorer to transfer the files.
When you use Windows Explorer, your MP3 is
identified with a letter (F, G or other one).

the MP3 player.
4.- Disconnect USB cable when ending files
transfer. First
remove the player using the software. Click on
the left button of the mouse over the icon

With this function you cannot press any key
while playback and the unit will not power on
accidentally.
To activate it slide Hold button to the left. In

To deactivate the function, slide Hold to the
right.
If the device is power off, and Hold
function is activated, the word Locked
displays in the screen, then automatically
will turn off.
FM RADIO
(Only for part number MP3-256 and
MP3-512FM)
1.- Press And hold Play / Pause for 2 seconds
to turn the device on.
2.- Press Mode for 2 seconds to get access to
the menus.
3.- Slide Mode button to the right or left until
you find FM Tuner option.
4.- Press Mode to enter FM tuner menu, in the
screen displays the word FM TUNER.
5.- After this message, in the screen you can
see the frequency band.
6.- If you want to tune one radio station, press
Play button once, in the screen will disappear
the word PRESET.
