WARNING:

WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance
may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must
be connected to the terminal marked [N] or
coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an
ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of
the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect
it from the mains – and then cut it o of the
mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a
safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug or
insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger
of an electric shock.

• If used on an adjustable bed,
check the blanket and cord
cannot become trapped or
rucked in the hinges .
• Ensure the product is
correctly tted to the bed,
following the instructions in
this booklet.
• DO NOT insert pins or
any sharp objects into the
blanket.
• DO NOT tuck the heated
part of material under the
mattress.
• DO NOT use if the blanket is
wet.

• Avoid pressing creases or
folds into the blanket.
• DO NOT switch on if the
blanket is folded, or creased.
• DO NOT use any lead,
switch or cord other than

• The heater is NOT intended
for medical use in hospitals.
• WARNING! When storing the
appliance, allow it to cool
down before folding.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Open the box carefully – Do not use a sharp object as you could damage the body of the
blanket
2. Remove the blanket from the box and take it out of the plastic bag. Ensure the bag is disposed
of carefully as it could be a danger to children.
3. When plugged into the mains ensure that the mains cable is tidied away so as not to become a
trip hazard.
4. The cable must not be covered.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

FITTING THE BLANKET
Note: This product can be used with any
type of bedding including waterproof bed
protectors. Use only as an under blanket and
do not use above the occupant of the bed.
Secure the blanket to the mattress in the
following manner:
• Place the blanket directly on the mattress.
Pull each strap over the edge of its
respective corner.
• Make sure the control switch end is at the
head of the bed, with the connector facing
downwards.
WARNING: Ensure the blanket is not folded
or creased.
When heating, do not cover the blanket with
pillows as this may cause overheating.
WARNING! When you position the cable,
make sure it DOES NOT become trapped
or kinked by any other objects or furniture
during use and storage. Poor positioning of
the power cable may result in injury and/or
damage to the user and their property.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Please use the diagram as a guide.
Each blanket comes with a tie cord.
Position the blanket on the bed ensuring the
pillow area is clear.
Do NOT stretch the cord too tightly. Allow
some ‘give’ to avoid edge distortion.
Ensure knots are NOT tied too tightly so that
they can be undone easily.
1. Start at loop 1, thread the cord under the
mattress horizontally to loop 2.
2. Return from loop 2 back under the
mattress diagonally to loop 3.
3. Return from loop 3 back under the
mattress and horizontally to loop 4.
4. Return from loop 4 back under the
mattress and diagonally to loop 1.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
• Ensure the blanket is tted to the bed
correctly. Refer to the diagram in the
Fitting Instructions section for more
information.
• Plug the power lead into the closest
socket. Avoid stretching the power cable.
Do not coil or fold the power cable.
Preheating The Bed
:
The electric blanket is designed with pre-
heating in mind but can be used through the
night on a low heat.
• Connect the controller to the blanket.
Simply hold the socket with one hand and
push the controller plug all the way until
the locking tab locates over the plug on
top of the controller.
• Move the heat setting on the control
switch to heat level 2 or 3, depending on
the level of the heat required.
• Allow approximately 60-90 minutes for
the blanket to heat the bed thoroughly,
although this time may vary depending
on the room temperature and type of
bedding used.
• In cold weather, all electric blankets
will take longer to heat the bed to a
comfortable temperature. Please allow
for this.
All Night Use:
Note: This electric blanket is safe to be used all
throughout the night. When using the blanket
for this purpose, choose heat level 1 on the
controller.
This setting will provide safe and comfortable
heat to sleep on all night. This setting can be
used to air the bed.
WARNING: Always ensure that the slider
switch is moved to the OFF position when
you get up the next day, or after airing the
bed.
Connecting and removing the controller:
To remove the controller, lift the locking tab up
with your nger and pull the plug directly out.
Do not pull the controller cable and do not try
to pull the controller plug out without lifting the
locking tab, as you will damage the socket. To
connect the controller lift the locking tab up
with your nger and pull the plug directly in.

CLEANING AND CARE
• Inspect the blanket regularly to ensure
that there is no damage to the blanket,
the controller or the plug. If the blanket
is damaged, contact a qualied service
person or our Customer Support team.
DO NOT use the blanket if it is damaged.
• This electric blanket is machine washable
at a maximum temperature of 40oC.
ALWAYS remove the detachable controller
from the body of the blanket before
machine washing it, as failing to do
so may result in a hazardous electrical
malfunction.
• During the summer, the blanket can be
used to air the mattress.
• To store, fold carefully and place back into
the original packaging.
• DO NOT crease the appliance by placing
items on top of it during storage.
WARNING! When you position the cable,
make sure it DOES NOT become trapped
or kinked by any other objects or furniture
during use and storage. Poor positioning of
the power cable may result in injury and/or
damage to the user and their property.
WARNING:
DO NOT IMMERSE ANY ELECTRICAL PART
OF THE APPLIANCE IN WATER SUCH AS
MOTOR UNITS OR PLUGS.
