TheSAVEVTC700isaheatrecoveryventilationunitwithabuiltincounterowplateheatexchanger.
Therearetwomodeloptions,right(R)andleft(L)model(gure1).
Thismanualdescribesbasicinformationhowtooperateandperformmaintenanceontheunitandthe
systemitisconnectedto.

4.1Settingoftemperature
Thesupplyairtemperatureissetmanuallyin5stepsinthemainmenudisplaybychoosingthe
temperaturesymbol(gure3).
Ifanelectricalorwaterre-heaterisinstalledthetemperaturestepsare12.0,14.5,17.0,19.5and22.0
°C.Defaultis12.0°C.
Iftheunitisusedwithoutanyre-heaterinstalledthetemperaturestepsare15.0,16.0,17.0,18.0or
19.0°C.Defaultis15.0°C.
Eachstepincreaseisillustratedbyincreasingthellingofthetemperaturesymbol.

4.2Manualsettingoffanspeed
It’spossibleatanytimetomanuallysetthefanspeedinthemainmenudisplay.Bychoosingthefan
symbolandconrming(gure4)it’spossibletoincreaseordecreasethefanspeedinthe3steps,Low,
NomandHigh.Bydoingsoyouoverridetheprogrammedweekschedulefortheunituntiltheendofthe
presenttimeperiodintheweekprogram.

4.3Manualsummermode
ManualsummermodeforVTC700occursifonesteplowerthan12°Cisselected(temperaturesymbolon
themainmenuiscompletelyempty,gure5).ThismeansthatthebypassdamperopensIfthere-heateris
active,itwillswitchoffduringmanualsummermode.Manualsummermodeabortsautomaticallyaftertwo
minuteswhenthesupplyairtemperatureis≤5°C.
Ifwaterheaterbatteryisinstalledandactivatedthemanualsummermodeisabortediftheoutdoor
airorsupplyairtemperatureis≤5°C.

5Maintenance
MaintenanceoftheSAVEVTC700shouldnormallybeperformed3-4timesayear.Apartfromgeneral
cleaningthefollowingshouldbeobserved:

5.2Removingthefrontinspectionhatch
Removethefronthatchbytheuseofan8mmAllenkey,afterwhichthehatchistiltedbackandliftedoff
completely.

5.3ChangingOutdoor/Extractairlters
Thelterscannotbecleanedandmustbechangedasnecessary.Thisisnormallydone1–2timesper
yeardependingontheairpollutionattheinstallationsite.
Whenit’stimetochangetheltersanalarmisshowninthecontrolpaneldisplay.Whenthisoccurs
dothefollowing:
1.Changeltersasshowninbelowillustration(gure7).
2.Resettheltertimeasdescribedbelow(chapter5.3.1).Dependingontheconditionofthelter,you
mightneedtochangetheoperationtimeforthelter.

Eveniftherequiredmaintenanceiscarriedout(chapter5.3),dustwillbuildupintheexchangerblock.Itis
thereforeofvitalimportancefortheupkeepofahighefciencythattheexchangerblockisremovedfrom
theunitandcleanedperiodicallyasillustratedbelow(gure8).Cleaningtheheatexchangershouldbe
donewhenneeded,butpreferablyonceayear.

Thesystemsuppliesfreshairtoyourhomeandextractstheusedindoorairviatheductsystemand
diffusers/louvres.Diffusersandlouvresaremountedinceilings/wallsinbedrooms,livingroom,wet
rooms,WCetc.Removediffusersandlouvres(gure9)andwashinhotsoapywaterasrequired
(diffusers/louvresmustnotbeexchanged).Cleaningofdiffusers/louvrescanbedoneasnecessary.

Theroofcowl(iftted)connectedtotheexhaustairductneedstobecheckedatleasttwiceayearand
cleanedasnecessary.
5.9Checkingtheductsystem
Dustandgreasesettlementsmaybuildupintheductsystem,evenifrequiredmaintenancesuchas
changingofltersisbeingcarriedout.Thiswillreducetheefciencyoftheinstallation.Theductruns
shouldthereforebecleaned/changedwhennecessary.Steelductscanbecleanedbypullingabrush
soakedinhotsoapywater,throughtheductviadiffuser/louvreopeningsorspecialinspectionhatches
intheductsystem(iftted).Itisrecommendedtodothisevery5yearsandisnormallycarriedout
byauthorizedcompaniesspecializedinthisarea.

6Troubleshooting
6.1Alarmlist
Erroriswarnedwithtextandwarningtriangleinthedisplay.Turnmenuselectortothewarningtriangle
andpress2xconrm.

FanIndicateserroroneithersupplyorextract
airfan.
Thealarmisdisplayedinthecontrolpanel.
Contactyourinstallationcompanyorplace
ofpurchase.
EMT/FrostIndicatestriggeredoverheatprotection(in
caseofinstalledelectricre-heaterbattery)
orfrostprotection(incaseofinstalled
waterheating–orcoolingbattery).
Atriggeredfrostprotectionalarmresults
inthefollowing:
•Bothfansstop.
•Outdoorandexhaustairdampersclose.
•Watervalveopenscompletely(10V
signalgoesouttotheactuator).
Theunitwillrestartoncethewater
temperaturereaches+5Koversetfrost
protectiontemperature.
Atriggeredoverheatprotectiongivesan
alarminthecontrolpanel.
Resetbypushingtheredbuttononthe
frontoftheheater.
Iftheproblemcontinuescontactyour
installationcompanyorplaceofpurchase.
DAMPIndicatesmalfunctioninbypassdamper.Thealarmisdisplayedinthecontrolpanel
