SupportStraps have been developed as an accessory for use with EasyBelt, FlexiBelt, ReadyBelt, ReTurnBelt and
FlexiMove. There are three different application areas for SupportStraps:
- Leg harness for EasyBelt/FlexiBelt/ReadyBelt
- Torso/side support when using QuickMove together with EasyBelt/FlexiBelt/ReadyBelt or FlexiMove
- Side support when using ReTurn together with ReTurnBelt
SystemRoMedic is a series of different models of transfer assistive devices. The choice of assistive devices depends on
the transfer situation and the patient’s functional capability and needs.
Visual inspection
Check the condition and function of the assistive device regularly. Always inspect the product after laundering. Check to
ensure that seams and material are free from damage. Check to ensure that fabric is not worn or faded. If there are signs
of wear, the product must be discarded.
Always read the manuals for all assistive devices used during a transfer.
Keep the manual where it is accessible to users of the product.
Do not leave the patient unattended during a transfer situation.

Product description
Use of SupportStraps as leg harness for EasyBelt/FlexiBelt/ReadyBelt
Before use:
- Always read and follow the instructions in the manual for the product with which SupportStraps are
to be used.
- Plan the lift and decide how many caregivers will be needed to assist to ensure safety.
- Always perform a trial fitting.
- Do not leave the patient unattended during a lifting situation.
SupportStraps consist of two separate straps, each with a loop on one end
and a plastic clasp on the other end. They have a removable, padded case
that relieves pressure when the strap is used as a leg harness.
Read and follow the instruction in the manual for the belt.
SupportStraps are secured to the appropriate handle at
the back of the belt (1), so that the straps are behind the
patient’s hips.
Secure each SupportStrap to the belt by drawing the strap
through the hole and then through itself to form a loop (2).
Pull the straps between the patient’s legs and then secure
the clasps to the appropriate handles on the front of the
belt (3).
The straps now function as a leg harness and prevent the
belt from sliding upward during transfer/gait training (4).
Adjust the straps and the belt, so that the leg harness fits
comfortably. The handles may be better placed if a different
size is used.

Use as torso/side support with QuickMove
Use as side support with ReTurn7500/7400
Read and follow the instruction in the manual for QuickMove.
Remove the padded cases from the SupportStraps.
EasyBelt/FlexiBelt/ReadyBelt:
Fasten the SupportStraps around the handles on the QuickMove
(recommended), alternatively on the appropriate handles on the sides/
towards the back of the belt.
When the patient has risen up in the QuickMove and is sitting on the
seat, the straps are secured to the appropriate handles on the sides/
towards the back of the belt, alternatively on the handles of the Quick-
Move.
Adjust the length of the straps. They should always be extended, with
sufficient tension to ensure optimal support.
FlexiMove:
Secure the SupportStraps around the handles on QuickMove. Then,
fasten one strap around the handle on FlexiMove. When the patient has
risen and is sitting on the seat, the FlexiMove is drawn around the pa-
tient’s back and the other strap is secured to the side of the FlexiMove.
Adjust the length of the straps. They should always be extended, with
sufficient tension to ensure optimal support.
Follow the manuals for ReTurn and ReTurnBelt.
Remove the padded cases from the SupportStraps.
Secure the SupportStraps to ReTurn. Loop the loops around
the outer, vertical posts on the ladder.
Secure the SupportStraps to the appropriate handles on
each side of the ReTurnBelt when the patient has risen to a
standing position.
Adjust the length of the straps. They should always be
extended, with sufficient tension to ensure optimal support.
