・After the installation of this Kit, other parts are additionally required for the installation of turn signals, a horn, a main switch and a speedometer.

◎If water gets into the wiring connector or socket, there is a possibility of a short circuit. When driving in the rain or washing your motorcycle, please
 take care not to let the water in the wiring.
◎Please change the bulb only when it is cool; otherwise, you will get burned from the heated bulb.
◎Please note that the descriptions in this manual like illustrations and photos may vary from the actual hardware.

Instruction Manual
Multi Reflector Head Light Kit for Ape Type C, 128 mm
Fitting models and frame Nos:
Ape50 : AC16-1000001〜
Ape100 : HC07-1000001〜

・Always try to drive your motorcycle at legal speeds, abiding by the laws.
 (Riding a motorcycle at a speed exceeding the legal speed limit is subject to punishment for overspeeding in violation of the Road Traffic Law.)
・Work only when the engine and muffler are cool. (Otherwise, you will get burned.)
・Prepare right tools for the work. (Otherwise, the installation with improper tools could cause breakage of parts or injuries to you.)
・Always use a torque wrench to screw bolts and nuts tight and securely to the specified torque.
 (Improper torque could cause these parts to get damaged or fall off.)
・As some products and frames have sharp edges or protruding portions, please work with your hands protected.
 (Otherwise, you will suffer injuries.)
・Before riding, always check every hardware for slack in parts like screws. If you find slack ones, screw them securely up to the specified
 torque. (Or, improper torque may cause parts to come off.)
・The specified specification of the bulb for this head light is PH7 12V 30/30W. When changing the bulbs, be sure to use the bulb of this
 specification. (Any other kind of bulb will cause the breakage of the head light.)
The following show the envisioned possibility of injuries to human bodies or property damages as a result of disregarding the
following cautions.
CAUTION
・When you notice something unusual with your motorcycle while riding, immediately stop riding and park your motorcycle in a safe place.
 (Otherwise, the abnormality could lead to accidents.)
・Before starting the work, secure your motorcycle firmly on level ground for safety’s sake.
 (Otherwise, your motorcycle could overturn and injure you while you are working.)
・If you find damaged parts when checking or performing maintenance of your motorcycle, do not use these parts any longer, and replace them
 with new ones. The continued use of these damaged parts as they are could lead to accidents.)
・If the bulb of the head light burns out when riding at night, stop riding.
The following show the envisioned possibility of human death or serious injuries to human bodies as a result of disregarding the
following warnings.

〜Kit includes〜
〜Installation Procedures〜
1.Unfasten two screws holding a stock head
  light, and then detach the headlight socket.
  And remove the head light from the head light
  case.
2.Detach a connector on the main switch in the
  head light case, a terminal on the
  speedometer and cables in order to pull out
  wires from the head light case.
3.Unfasten two bolts on the side of the head light
  case to remove the head light case.
4.Remove a nut and washer which are holding
  the handle holder located on the reverse side
  of the top bridge to remove the steering handle.
5.Slacken the front fork bolt and steering stem
  nut to remove the top bridge and head light 
  bracket.
※Please order repair parts by Repair Part No. As you see from the list, there are some parts for  
 which we are not in a position to accept your order in just the quantity to be used.
 In this case, please take the parts in the quantity packed.

14.Drive the engine in a well-ventilated safe
   place. And check that both the high-and  
   low-beam head light work properly. If not,
   the burning-out of the bulb or the improper
   cord connection may be the probable cause
   for this, which please check.
7.Install the top bridge.
  NOTE: Be sure to follow the specified torque.
  Torque for front fork bolt:
   44 N・m (4.5 kgf・m)
  Torque for steering stem nut:
   74 N・m (7.5 kgf・m)
8.Place the handle holder into the top bridge
  hole, and hold the handle holder with a washer
  and nut.
  NOTE: Be sure to follow the specified torque.
  Torque: 22 N・m (2.2 kgf・m)
9.Slacken two screws at the lower part of the  
  head light case of ①. And separate the head
  light unit and the case. And place the halogen
  bulb in the head light unit.
10.Remove the head light socket from the stock
   head light, which please install onto the head
   light unit which was just removed in the
   preceding step 9.
11.Install the head light case onto the head light
   stay with the screw-mounting hole facing  
   downward.
13.Arrange the wires in the head light case  
   neatly so the head light unit can easily be
   housed. Place the head light lens with the
   TOP mark upward, join the connector with
   the head light socket, and then install the
   head light unit with two screws.
6.Put the turn-signal stay through the front fork,
  and install the light stay loosely for now.
  As for the order of the installation, please  
  see the figures below.
 ※ Install turn signals, horn, main switch and  
  speedometer.
12.Loosely tighten the bolt for holding the head
   light, and tighten the turn-signal stay to the  
   specified torque.
   Torque: 12 N・m (1.2 kgf・m)
15.Check the light axis of the head light, and
   secure it firmly.
   Torque: 12 N・m (1.2 kgf・m)
 ※ Never touch the glass of the halogen bulb
  directly with a hand. The oily fingerprint may  
  cause the bulb to burn out because the oil is  
  likely to absorb heat. If you have touched the  
  bulb with your hand, wipe off the fingerprint  
  with alcohol.
