1. General informaon about our surface storage heaters
With our variety of electric surface storage heaters, you can nd the right
soluon for your needs in any spaal situaon. The TECHNOTHERM paral
thermal-storage heaters are available as addional or transional heang for
all rooms in the living area, with the excepon of the special cases stated in
the safety instrucons. They are designed for connuous operaon. Prior to
dispatch, all our products undergo an extensive funcon, safety and quality
test. We guarantee a construcve design complying with all currently appli-
cable internaonal, European and German safety standards and rules. You
can see this in the labelling of our products with the well-known cercaon
marks: "TÜV-GS", "SLG-GS", "Keymark” and "CE". Our heaters are evaluated
in accordance with the internaonally applicable lEC-regulaons. The man-
ufacture of our heaters is constantly supervised by a state-accredited test
centre.
This heater can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by
physically, sensory or mentally restricted persons if they are supervised or
given instrucons on safe use and understand the hazards involved as it does
not require any experience or knowledge.
This device is not a toy for children to play with! Cleaning and user mainte-
nance shall not be carried out by children without supervision. The use of
heat radiators is to be given a parcular duty of care by supervisors.
Children under the age of 3 are to be kept away unless they are connually
supervised. Children between the age of 3 and 8 are only allowed to switch
the heater on or o if they are supervised or given instrucons on safe use
and understand the hazards involved, provided that it has been placed or
installed in its intended normal operang posion. Children between the age
of 3 and 8 shall not plug in, regulate and clean the heater or perform user
maintenance.
Cauon: Some parts of the product can become very hot and cause burns.
Pay parcular aenon when children and vulnerable people are present.

2. Use with an internal temperature controller (built-in on the lateral side of the device)
As soon as the heater is completely assembled and installed by an authorized elec-
trician, you can start using it.
Please turn the control knob to the desired room temperature (for example, temperature 21°C
during the day). Now the electrical surface storage heater is switched on and heats automat-
ically. When the set temperature is reached, the power supply will be interrupted. However,
the heater will sll radiate heat stored in the ceramic storage core. As soon as the room tem-
perature drops, the room thermostat switches ON the heater again. This process is repeated
connuously, as long as the heater is at the operaon mode. If you are going to be absent for
a longer period of me, please set the temperature to a lower level to save energy. If you turn
the control knob completely to the le, the heater will be switched OFF.
2.2 Installaon with internal temperature controller (built-in to the side of the unit)
The desired room temperature is regulated by a built-in thermostat.
To do this, set the control knob to the right posion as shown by the red light:
Posion 1 : about 5°C (frost protecon)
Posion 4 : about 20°C
Posion 6 : about 30°C

3. Important safety instrucons
3.1 Surface thermal-storage heaters for dry rooms
• The heaters should be only installed in accordance with the applicable provisions of DIN
VDE 0100. electrici an improper funcon, disconnect the heater from the mains supply.
Report the case to our customer service department as soon as possible.
• To avoid a re hazard, keep the following safety distances when mounng the heater:
From the each side wall of the heater to any masonry: 5 cm
From the each side wall of the heater to ammable materials: 10 cm
Distance from the heater to the oor: 8 cm
Distance from the upper edge of the heater to the
building components or covers (e.g. window sills): ammable 15 cm
non-ammable 10 cm
3.2 Bathroom heaters
• Statutory provisions applicable for use of electrical equipment in rooms with tubs or show-
ers are much stricter than in dry rooms. In addion to the already above-menoned provi-
sions of DIN VDE 0100, they have also comply with VDE 0100-701. Our bathroom radiators
must be installed exclusively by an authorized and cered electrician. All the instrucons
given in 3.1 shall be adhered to in full. Excepon: Our bathroom heaters are addionally
protected against expected moisture.
4. Technical data:
Our surface storage heaters are designed for protecon class I and a mains voltage of 230V,
50Hz. For all heater types listed in the table, internal electronic temperature regulators or re-
mote-controlled room temperature regulators are oponally available. Our various products of
34 cm or 63 cm overall height are available in the IP24 version. All other heaters have protec-
on class IP20. Please see the informaon given on the nameplate of the heater.

5. Installaon instrucons
Please observe the safety instrucons given on pages 2 and 3!
• Our electric surface storage heaters shall be preferably located under a window or close to
a room outside wall (please absolutely keep the minimum clearances as shown on page 4).
• The respecve mounng aids are an integral part of the delivery.
• The room thermostat shall be placed at half of the room heigh and not closer than 1 me-
ter from the heaters. The thermostat is to be installed between the power source and the
electric storage heater. Remove the packaging. Heed that no packaging residues sck on the
heater!
• Insert the rollers or feet from the boom into the ns of the heater. To ensure a secure
standing, pay aenon to the same external distances.
6. Report the case to the aer-sales service
Your surface storage heater was carefully manufactured and checked repeatedly before dis-
patch. If you should nevertheless encounter a problem or have quesons concerning handling,
feel free to contact us.
7. Direcve
From Jan 1st 2018, the EU-conformity of these devices is addionally bound to fullment of the Eco-De-
sign Requirements 2015 /1188.
The use of the standard TT-KS series (without an external thermostat regulang) is only permied
with castors or on feet.
If this requirement is not fullled, the device will lose its CE marking.
