3.5G CONNECT INTRODUCTION
1. To lau ch the Network Co ect, double click the shortcut o the desktop. It should be oted that:
 If the PIN code e abled, e ter the correct o e, the click OK. The (U)SIM will be locked after 3
retries of i correct PIN code i put;
 E ter the correct PUK to retrieve the default PIN code. After 10 retries of i correct PUK code
i put, please co tact with your service provider;
 With the wro g PIN a d PUK, all the etwork services are u available.

Status Description

Message full I dicates the (U)SIM’s storage of SMS is full.

No service No suitable etwork.
No (U)SIM card (U)SIM card ot i serted or the device ca ot recog ized the (U)SIM.
I valid (U)SIM card The (U)SIM is out of service.
Network sig al I dicate the sig al stre gth of the etwork.
Network type GSM/GPRS, UMTS.
Data service EDGE available, HSPA available.

 Click to set up the co ectio ;
2. Co ect to the i ter et with the user defi ed profile
 Click , select Connection Profile;
 Click New, fill i all the parameters, a d the click OK;
 Click Import, Select o e item from the list a d click OK.
Note: Co tact with your service provider to get the correct parameters.

SMS SERVICE
Click to e ter SMS (Short Message Service) service i terface.
1. Creati g a d se di g a message
Click
 I put the recipie t umber by o e of the followi g optio s:
 E ter the umber directly;
 Click Send to, choose the recipie t umber from the pho ebook a d add to the se di g list,
the click OK.
 E ter the message co te t;
 Click Send or Save to Draft. The message will be saved i the Draft whe failed to se d.
Note:
• You ca group se d a message at most 20 recipie ts;
• Each umber should be separated by “,”;
• The message ca expa d up to 2048 characters.
2. I box
 The followi g prompt box will be displayed whe received a ew message;
 Reply : Access the edit i terface, write the co te t, click Send or Save to Draft;
 Forward : Forward the selected message;
 Delete : Delete the selected message.
Note:
• The ew message will be saved i PC whe 3.5G Co ect ru i g o ly, else i (U)SIM i stead;
• You ca use “Shift” or “Ctrl” to selected several messages;
3. Outbox
The message i the Outbox ca be deleted or forwarded.

4. Draft
 The MSG se t u successfully will be saved i the Draft;
 Click the selected message;
 Co firm the recipie t a d the co te t, a d click Send or Save to Draft.
5. Recyle
All deleted i formatio will be saved i the Recyle.
6. The selected SMS ca be operated as follows:
 Save umber
To save the se der’s i formatio to the (U)SIM card or PC.
 Delete text message
To delete the selected message.
 Move to
To move the selected message to Outbox or Draft.
 Copy to
To cope the seledted message to Outbox or Draft.
 SMS Export
• Right-click the selected the message;
• Click SMS Export;
• Specify the path a d the file ame, click Save.
Note: The exported message will be saved as a *.csv file.

 Select a co tact, the you ca operate as follows:
 Edit : Modify the selected co tact;
 Delete : Delete the selected co tact;
 Se d SMS : Se d a message to the selected co tact;
 Copy to: Copy the co tact betwee (U)SIM card a d PC.
Note: The deleted co tact i formatio ca ot be retrieved.
4. Import
 Right-click the mouse;
 Click Contacts Import;
 Select the *.vcf or *.csv file a d click Open;
 The import file will be saved i the curre t i terface.

5. Export
 Right-click the selected co tact;
 Click Contacts Export;
 You ca save the co tact file as *.csv file or *.vcf file;
Co firm the ame a d the path the file saved, the click Save.

• You may activate the message alert to e, a d also ca set up your favorite to e via selecti g
a *.wav file i the PC.
• The umber showed i the SMS ce ter is read from the (U)SIM card automatically;
modificatio is ot recomme ded;
Note: SMS would ot work with the wro g SMSC. Co tact with the service provider to get the correct
SMSC.
• You may select the period i the drop-box, it specifies the validity which the message would
save i the etwork;
Note: The validity setti g of SMS should be supported by the etwork.

 Network Type
• You ca choose Auto or Only MTS/HSPA or Only GPRS/EDGE. The device will
register etwork accordi g to the selected mode.
• The default mode is Auto.
 Registratio Mode
• Auto search and register is set as default value;
• Select Manual search and register before diali g, available etworks will be listed whe
fi ished;
• Select a available etwork a d click Register, a d the the device will try to register.

A: Ope Setti gs->Co ectio Profile, co firm the APN i formatio right or ot. For more details,
co tact with your service provider.
2. Q: Why takes so lo g for i stallatio ?
A: Accordi g to the differe t hardware a d software e viro me t, it would take a few mi utes for
i stallatio .
3. Q: Why ca ’t I receive the message?
A: Please co firm whether the (U)SIM’s SMS memory is full or ot.
4. Q: Why ca ’t I register to the i ter et?
A: Ope Setti gs->Network Selectio , check the etwork setti g.
5. Q: Why the software does ’t ru automatically whe the device is plugged i ?
A: Click My computer->data card disk->StartModem.exe. Or ru the 3.5G Co cet from Start of
the OS if 3.5G Co cet was i stalled.
