TENA SmartCare Change IndicatorTM/MC
This guide is intended for professional caregivers, super users and
managers using TENA SmartCare Change IndicatorTM/MC in a care home
environment.
TENA SmartCare Change Indicator is a digital health technology solution
that helps caregivers decide when to change absorbent products without
the need for frequent manual checks. Besides being less intrusive, it also
IJĖŎƀƊƀƃŠƳĶďĖŕŠƃĖĖǛĖĉƓĶƳĖɑĶŖďĶƳĶďƙìŎĶǃĖďĉìƃĖɐ
The Change Indicator attaches to the outside of a TENA absorbent product
and tracks the urine saturation levels within. Caregivers and super users
ƓIJĖŖƃĖĉĖĶƳĖĶŖīŠƃŕìƓĶŠŖìĈŠƙƓƓIJĖďĶǛĖƃĖŖƓƊìƓƙƃìƓĶŠŖŎĖƳĖŎƊŠŖƓIJĖĶƃ
handheld devices via the TENA SmartCare Professional Care app. The
TENA SmartCare Change Indicator system tracks urine saturation, but
does not detect fecal episodes.
TENA SmartCare Change Indicator is a system consisting of:
• The TENA SmartCare dashboard, which serves as an information
hub for caregivers, super users and managers.
• An app named TENA SmartCare Professional Care that is installed
on the handheld devices of caregivers and super users.
• A reusable Change Indicator that consists of two parts: a sensor strip
and a transmitter.
• A gateway that relays data from the Change Indicator to a secured server.

The dashboard serves as an information hub for super users
and managers. It provides access to both real-time and past
information, and enables super users and managers to:

• View statistics and create various reports.
• Edit system settings.
The Home page provides an overview of incontinence product changes throughout the care
home. It shows the current status and statistics on residents, errors and response times for
ďĶǛĖƃĖŖƓƙŖĶƓƊɐ
The Residents page provides head nurses and managers with an overview on the current
status in a unit. Here, they can see more detailed information such as a resident status and
resident history.
The Statistics pageŠǛĖƃƊďĶǛĖƃĖŖƓƴìƺƊƓŠƳĶĖƴďìƓìƓIJìƓĶƊĬĖŖĖƃìƓĖďĈƺƓIJĖƊƺƊƓĖŕƓŠƊƙƀƀŠƃƓ
