usePOEpowersupplyorPOEswitchtopowerontheAP.
2.Connectoneend ofthenetworkcabletotheLANportofW301A,
and anotherend toyourEthernet broadband, switchorPC.
3.Connect wireless adaptertoW301A.

LaunchInternetExplorer.Intheaddressbar,entertheAP’sdefaultIP

address of wireless devicewhichyouwant tobridgemanuallyand select
thecorresponding channel.

3.6LANSettings
ThissectionmainlydealswithLAN’sbasicsettings.
²StaticIP ThedefaultIPaddress is192.168.0.254.Ifnecessary,
you canconfigureanewIPaddress,subnetmaskand gateway
manuallyforthedevice.
²DynamicIP AutomaticallyobtainIPaddress,subnetmaskand
gatewayfromDHCPserver.(Unless youhavegotpermission to
obtainthisinformation fromtheuplinkconnecteddevice, otherwise,
it isnotrecommendedtoselectthisway).
Note:IftheLANIPaddressischanged,youneedusethenewIPaddress
tologinthewireless AP’sWeb interfacenext time.

Access Point(AP)andBridge(WDS),includingbasicsettings,security
settings,advancedsettings,access control,and connectionstatus.
4.1BasicSettings
Thisperiodintroducesyou thebasicsettingsinAPmodeand WDS
mode.
4.1.1Access Point (AP)Mode
Inthismode,theAPwillact asacentralhubforaccessesfromwireless
towireless,wireless towired,wireless toWAN. Themostimportantisto
provideawireless clientaccess suchaswireless networkadapter
access.
4.1.1.1ApplicationandTopologyPlan
TheAPmodecanconvertthewiredtransmission intowireless signals.If
you haveonewiredcableconnectingtoInternet, andwanttoaccess the
Internet viawireless signalsconnecting toyournotebookcomputer,this
modefitsperfectly.
