Installaon or removal
Detailed informaon demonstrang the dif-
ferent ways of installing or removing a radi-
ator heang element is available from the
manufacturer or importer (see footnotes at
the end of the manual). Below we list some
basic requirements and principles which
must be followed to ensure long term, relia-
ble operaon of the product.
150°
When the heang element is installed hor-
izontally, it must be rotated to such an ex-
tent that the single tube, which houses the
temperature sensor, is posioned as low as
possible.
Before installaon or rst use:
1. Read the chapter Safety requirements
—Installaon.
2. Fit the heang element using the cor-
rect spanner (size 22).
3. The heang element must be installed
at the boom of the radiator, perpen-
dicular to the radiator pipes, while pre-
serving space for the proper circulaon
of the heang medium.
4. Use a suitable heang medium for ll-
ing the electric radiator, i.e. (water, spe-
cial products based on water and glycol
for use in central heang systems, or oil
which complies with the requirements
of the manufacturer of the radiator and
heang element).
8% (20°C)

14 User manual TDY www.termaheat.pl
5. Check the distances between the indi-
vidual heang element tubes and bend
if necessary.
5 mm
2-3 mm
6. Do not switch the heang element on if
it is not fully immersed in radiator heat-
ing medium.
7. Make sure an adequate air cushion is pre-
sent to protect against excessive pressure
build up within the heater (always leave
one of the radiator valves open).
8. When lling the radiator with hot liquid
insure that the liquid temperature does
not exceed 65° C.
9. Follow the subsequent guidelines when
connecng the electrical installaon:
a. Brown wire — live connecon to the
circuit (L).
b. Blue wire — connect to neutral (N)
c. Yellow & green wire — earth con-
necon (PE).
10. Before filling the radiator with heating
medium, ensure that the heang element
is ed properly and that it is water ght.
11. In central heating installation radiator
must be ed with the valves enabling
disconnecon of the radiator from the
rest of the system.
12. The temperature of the heang agent

TDY
The TDY heang element has 3 temperature
sengs and an automac turn-o switch.
The LED indicator shows, aer each seng
change, the currently set temperature lev-
el as well as me remaining unl the end of
a heang cycle. Each seng change is also
conrmed by a corresponding beep.
The built-in temperature sensor prevents
the radiator from freezing when tempera-
ture falls below 5-7°C.
How to operate TDY
To switch on the heang element, press the
buon. The red LED light, indicates that the
heang element is on and operang. The cor-
responding double beep conrms that the
device has been either switched on or o.

Every me the device is switched on, the
countdown mer is reacvated — 5 blue
LEDs light up. The factory default mer set-
ng is 120 minutes (it is possible to change
the countdown mer range between 60-180
min in the advanced sengs mode).
How to read the countdown mer
The number of lit up, blue LEDs tells you how
much me is le unl the end of the heang
cycle: the me of one LED is equal to 2/10
(20%) of the total countdown me, this is ad-
dionally divided into 2 equal parts when the
LED glows connuously or ashes. This way

you can easily read the remaining me le
to the end of the heang cycle to 1/10 (10%)
accuracy. Depending on the preset total op-
erang me (60-90-120-150-180 minutes),
the shortest me indicated by your device
will be 6-18 minutes.
Each LED, rst glows connuously for 1/10
of the set me, and for another 1/10 of the
set me, it ashes and then goes out. The
red LED glows constantly throughout the op-
eraon me unl the unit switches itself o.
Example for default factory seng
(working me = 120 min)
— immediately aer switching the device
on, all blue LEDs light up,
— aer 12 minutes the last LED starts ash-
ing and aer further 12 minutes the LED
goes out.
— Each LED rst glows connuously for 12
minutes, then ashes for further 12 min-
utes and goes out and so on unl the full
heang cycle me is up and the device
turns itself o.
How to set the operang
temperature
To set the operang temperature of the heat-
ing element:
— briey press buon — the rst press
puts the heating element into setting
mode — the red LED goes out and a sin-
gle blue LED ashes, indicang the cur-
rent temperature seng,
— another press on the buon will change
the temperature — the corresponding
blue LED ashes and a single beep is emit-
ted (characterisc high pitch sound indi-
cates 40°C seng, the remaining two
temperature sengs are indicated by
low pitch sound).
Temperature seng
Display of operang temperature 40°C 50°C 60°C
Each me the temperature seng is changed,
a single, corresponding LED ashes for 3 sec-
onds. Aer the 3 seconds the heang ele-
ment returns to operaon with the new set-
ngs applied- the red LED lights up and the
LED display shows the countdown mer.
Please note: During operaon, it is possible
to change the temperature any number of
mes, seng the new temperature does not
aect the countdown mer. It is possible to
manually turn o the device at any me.

How to change the length of countdown me.
— when the heang element is on, press
and hold buon for 5 seconds - ash-
ing red light and a single beep indicate
that the element goes into seng mode,
— use the buon to select the desired
length of countdown me — a single beep
conrms the change of seng (charac-
terisc high pitch sound indicates the
shortest countdown me seng = 60
minutes).

— Aer a short me, the heang element
automacally returns to operaon with
the new sengs applied — the red LED
lights up and the LED display shows the
countdown mer.
How to enable/disable sound
nocaons
When the heang element is o, press and
hold buon for 5 seconds — special triple
beep conrms the change of sengs:
— sound nocaon is enabled and con-
firmed by the following sequence of
sounds: low-low-high.
— sound nocaon is disabled and con-
firmed by the following sequence of
sounds: high-high-low.
Troubleshoong
Please note: The control system of the heat-
ing element acvates it only when the radi-
ator temperature is lower than the set tem-
perature. When the required temperature
is reached, the heang element will then
switch itself on and o automacally, only to
maintain the set temperature. Consequently,
the electricity consumpon is signicantly
lower than the theorecal calculaon based
on the nominal power of the heang element.
The design as well as the physical character-
iscs of various heang media may cause
uneven temperature distribuon inside the
radiator, including the case where the lower
radiator tubes may be cold. Such occurrence
is completely normal and does not indicate
fault of the heang element.
