Retainthecartonandpackingforfutureuse.Ifyou

Preparation
Blender features
Theblenderincludes-
• Themotorbodywithadjustablespeeds.
• Ahighcapacityremovableblendingjug.
• Removablecapinthejuglidforaddingliquid.
Work area
Beforeusingyourblender,prepareaclear,
unclutteredworkareaneartoamainspower
outletwherethecablewillnotbeatriskofbeing
pulled.
Operation
First use
Beforeusingyourblenderforthersttime
youshouldensurethatthecomponentsare
thoroughlycleaned.
• FollowtheinstructionsintheCareand
Cleaningsectiontocleanallcomponents
thoroughlybeforerstuse.
Which types of food are suitable for blending?
Yourblenderissuitableforblendingmosttypesof
foodtoaliquidincludingfruits,vegetables,home-
madesoups(whencooled)anddrinks.
Bananas,berries,mango,peaches,plums,
nectarines,apple,pearandmelonallmake
deliciousblendeddrinkswhenblendedwitha
littleliquid.Experimentwiththeadditionofalittle
milk,ordairy-freealternative,yogurt,ricemilkor
coconutmilk.
Carrots,tomatoes,leafyvegetables,avocado,
cucumbercanallbeblendedwiththeadditionof
alittlewaterorstock.
Somegreatblenderrecipebooksareavailable
fordrinksandsoupsortrysearchingon-linefor
dierentideas.
CAUTION:Donotusetheblendertoblendhard
ingredientssuchascoeebeans,icecubes,
mixturescontainingfruitstonescerealsand
chocolateinlumpsasthesemaydamagethe
blades.
Preparing fruit or vegetables for blending
• Washtheingredients.
If preferred, peel fruit and vegetables before
preparation.
• Removestones,pipsorcores.
Soft fruit and vegetables can now be chopped
roughly. Hard fruit and vegetables should be
chopped nely or grated.
Blending soup
• Ifyouaremakingsoupcookthesoup
ingredientsgentlytosoftenupandforma
soupbase.
• Allowthemixturetocoolcompletely.
• Usetheblendertoliquidisethesoup.
Cautions in use
• Neveroperatetheblenderwithoutthelidor
cap.
• Neverlltheblenderabovethemaximum
1500ml/48ozmarksonthejug.Ifyouhave
moreingredientsthanthistoblend,splitthem
intobatchestoblendseparately.

Fitting/removing the jug Preparing the blender
NOTE:Themaximumoperatingtimeistwo
minutes.Ifyouexceedthistimeyoumustrestthe
unitforveminutes.
Forbestresults,thefoodingredientsshould
includesomeliquidcontent.Thismaybewater,
fruitjuice,milketcdependingontherecipe.
• Checkthatthepowercordisdisconnectedand
thatthePower/speedcontrolissettothe‘0’
(O)position.
• Thelidisapushtinthetopofthejug.
Removethelidandplacetheingredientsinthe
jug.Addanyliquidingredientsrst,thenany
solidingredients.
Hold back some of the liquid initially. It is better to
add more liquid during blending if required.
• Fitthelidtothejug.
• Fitthecapandlockitinplace.
• Fitthejugtothemotorbodyandlockitin
place.
• Connectthepowercabletoamainsoutlet.
Blending continuously
• Toblendcontinuously,turnthePower/speed
controltothe1position(slow),2(medium)or
3(fast).
The blender will switch on. If you are not sure which
speed setting to use, start with the slow speed and
increase the speed to high if needed. High speeds are
best if the ingredients are quite solid.
• Watchblendingprogressthroughthejugand
turnthePower/speedcontroltothe‘0’(O )
positionwhenyouhavenishedblending.
Pulse blending
Pulseblendingisusefulforshortburstsof
powerfulblending.
• TurnthePower/speedcontroltothe‘Pulse’
position.
• Themotorwillrunwhilethespeedcontrolis
heldinthisposition.
• ReleasethePower/speedcontroltostop
blendingatanytime.
You can turn the Power/speed control repeatedly to
the ‘Pulse’ position to blend in pulses, allowing the
ingredients to settle if required.
Thejuglocksto
themotorbody.
Alwaysensurethe
jugislockedinplace
beforeswitchingon
theblender.
Refertothe
drawingsofthejug
andmotorbody.
Totthejug,placethejugonthemotorbody
aligningthearrowonthejugwiththeunlock
symbol.Twistthejuguntilthepointeronthejug
linesupwiththelocksymbolonthemotorbody
asshown.
• Toremovethejug,twistthejugtolineupthe
pointeronthejugwiththeunlocksymbolon
themotorbody.Liftthejugothemotorbody.
Fitting/removing the cap in the lid
Thecaplockstothelid.Alwayslockthecaptothe
lidbeforeuse.

• Fillthejarto1500ml/48.oz.withwarmwater
andaverysmallamountofdetergent.
• TwistthePower/speedcontroltothe‘Pulse’
positionfor1-2secondsseveraltimes.
The water will rinse out the jug.
• Thejugcanbecleanedmorethoroughlyby
handwashinginamilddetergentsolution.
Whendoingthistakecaretoavoidanycontact
withthesharpbladesinthejug.
• Leavethejugtodrythoroughlybeforestorage.
Storage
• Whenallthecomponentsaredry,coilthe
powercablelooselyandstoretheblenderset
outofreachofchildrenandpets.

• Re-tthecapandlockitinplace.
• Continueblending.
Stirring the mixture
Itmaybenecessarytostirthemixtureto
distributetheingredients.
• SetthePower/speedcontroltothe‘0’(O )
position.
• Removethejug.
• Removethelid.
• Stirthemixturewithaspoon.
• Re-tthelid,lockthejugbackonthemotor
bodyandcontinueblending.
When your mixture is ready
• SetthePower/speedcontroltothe‘0’(O )
position.
• Unlockthejugandliftitothemotorbody.
• Removethelidandpourthemixtureintoa
container,readytouseortorefrigerate.
NOTE:Coldingredientsmaywarmupslightly
whenblended.Refrigeratethemafterblending
tocool.Hotingredientssuchassoupsshouldbe
coveredandallowedtocoolbeforeblending,then
refrigerated.
After use
• Immediatelyafteruse,followtheinstructions
intheCareandCleaningsectiontocleanthe
blendercomponents.
Care and cleaning
Nevercleananyoftheblendercomponentswith
scourers,abrasivepadsorchemicals.
Themotorbodyandjugarenotdishwashersafe.
• Disconnecttheblendermotorbodyfrom
mainspowerbeforecleaningit.
