868 MHz RECEPTION
The temperature station shoul receive the temperature ata within 1 minute
after set-up. If the temperature ata is not receive 1 minute after setting up
(not successfully continuously, the out oor isplay shows “- - -”), please check
the following points:
1. The istance of the temperature station or out oor transmitter shoul be
at least 5-6 feet away from any interfering sources such as computer
monitors or TV sets.
2. Avoi positioning the temperature station onto or in the imme iate
proximity of metal win ow frames.
3. Using other electrical pro ucts such as hea phones or speakers
operating on the same signal frequency (868MHz) may prevent correct
signal transmission an reception.

35
4. Neighbours using electrical evices operating on the 868MHz signal
frequency can also cause interference.
Note:
When the 868MHz signal is receive correctly, o not re-open the battery
cover of either the out oor transmitter or temperature station, as the batteries
may spring free from the contacts an force a false reset. Shoul this happen
acci entally then reset all units (see Setting up above) otherwise transmission
problems may occur.
The maximum transmission range is 80 m from the out oor transmitter to the
temperature station (in open space). However, this epen s on the
surroun ing environment an interference levels. If no reception is possible
espite the observation of these factors, all system units have to be reset (see
Setting up).
POSITIONING THE TEMPERATURE STATION:
Before wall mounting, please check that the out oor temperature values can
be receive from the esire locations.

36
To wall mount
1. Fix a screw (not supplie ) into the esire wall,
leaving the hea exten e out the by about
5mm.
2. Hang the temperature station onto the screw.

transmitter can also be positione on a flat surface by securing
the stan to the bottom to the out oor transmitter.
To wall mount:
1. Secure the bracket onto a esire wall using
the screws an plastic anchors.
2. Clip the remote temperature sensor onto the
bracket.
Note:
Before permanently fixing the out oor transmitter
wall base, place all units in the esire locations to

38
check that the temperature rea ing is receivable. In event that the signal is not
receive , relocate the out oor transmitter or move it slightly as this may help
the signal reception.
