1. Introducon
Congratulaons with your new X1 Tiiwee Alarm Kit. The Tiiwee Alarm Kit is a
versale alarm system that detects if people or animals are entering your
home or shop. It allows you to use several sensors with one or more alarms
in up to four different zones. These sensors (PIR Moon Sensors, Window/
Door sensors) connect wirelessly to an alarm unit ("X1-siren"). This alarm
unit produces a doorbell-sound or a very loud siren. The alarm unit can be
placed on a fixed posion or taken with you as you move around the house
or if you go to sleep.
A maximum of 10 sensors can be connected to each zone. Also, up to 10
remote controls can be paired with each alarm unit. A sensor or remote

Intended use
The Tiiwee Home Alarm System is primarily designed to deter burglars when
they enter your home. The heart of the system is the X1-siren. Place the
siren in your home where burglars are most likely to enter. If you have a
larger home, please consider placing addional Tiiwee X1 or A3 (outdoors-)
sirens.
The system is ready for use. Your system is pre-configured, and the sensors
and remote controls are connected to the X1-siren. Window sensors are
connected to zone 1. If a PIR moon sensor is included, it is connected to
zone 2. We advise reading this user manual carefully and to familiarize
yourself with its operang principle and ways to fine-tune it to your exact
needs.

3. Installing Your Tiiwee alarm system in four simple steps
1. Unpack:Unpack all kit components and lay them in front of you on the
table.

2. Remove baery protecon:
X1-siren: Slide the back panel from the X1-siren and remove the baery
protecon strip. You hear one beep, and the X1-siren switches on
automacally.

Door sensors: Remove the baery protecon strip at the back of the
sensor by pulling it.
Moon detector (if included): Open the baery compartment, and
remove the baery protecon strip
3. Familiarize Yourself with Your System:
a. Arrange the door sensors such that the magnet is on the right-hand side
of each sensor. The triangles on the middle of the sides of the sensor and
the magnet cannot be more than 5 mm apart. IMPORTANT: Posion
them so that the triangles are facing each other.
Posion the moon detector with the detecon window facing
downwards to avoid that it detects anything for the moment.
Use the Loudspeaker-buon on the remote control to switch from the
doorbell-sound (2 different volumes) to siren sound. Cover the siren to
avoid damaging your hearing. Press the Loudspeaker-buon of the remote
control unl you hear the doorbell-sound ("Ding-Dong").
b. Press the Acvaon-buon ( ) on the remote control to arm the X1-siren.
You hear a short beep accompanied by one brief flash of the LEDs.
c. Now move the magnet away from the first
sensor. You hear the doorbell-sound
(“Ding-Dong”), and the red light on the
sensor lights up. Repeat this procedure
for all other door sensors.
Moon detector (PIR kits only): Slowly, in front of the moon detector,
wave your hand at a distance of approximately 50-70 cenmetres. You
hear a doorbell-sound, and the detecon window of the sensor lights up.
4. Installing your system
Deacvate the X1-siren using the Deacvaon-buon on the remote
control ( ). Now, mount theX1-siren and door sensors following the
instrucons in the manual.
How to mount the X1-siren
First, aach the back panel to the wall using the self-adhesive pads or screws
(included). Place the X1-siren on the back panel and aach it to the back
panel with the smallest screw at the boom.
4. Daily use of your alarm system
Switch On/Off
Press the On/Off-buon on the X1-siren for 5 seconds to switch the unit on
or off. When switching on, you hear one short beep and the LEDs light-up
from top to boom. When switching the X1-siren off, you hear one long beep
sound, and the LEDs dim from the boom to the top. When the X1-siren is
switched on, it will be in the same state (acve or deacvated) as it was
when it was switched off.
Acvang the system
On the X1-siren: short press the SET-buon. On the remote control: press
the Acvaon-buon.You hear one beep as a confirmaon that the system
is acvated.
Deacvang the system
X1-siren: short press the SET-buon.
Remote control: press the Deacvaon-buon.
Deacvang the system will be confirmed by two beeps.
Once all components are mounted, acvate the system: Select the
Loudspeaker-buon on the remote control to choose the loud siren sound.
Now, to acvate your system, press the Acvaon-buon.

Indicator light: Acvated status
The X1-siren features an indicator light that shows if the system is acve or
not. When the system is acvated, the LED of zone 4 flashes every 5 seconds.
To switch off the indicator light, while in acvated mode, press the SET-
buon for 5 seconds. You hear one beep, and the indicator light switches off.
To switch on the indicator light again, repeat the above-described procedure.
Choosing doorbell-sound or siren sound
In deacvated mode, short press the On/Off-buon on the X1-siren or the
Loudspeaker-buon on the remote control to switch between doorbell-
sounds and siren sound. The order of the sounds is
1. loud doorbell
2. mild doorbell
3. very loud siren (120dB)
You hear a short fragment of the selected noficaon sound or alarm sound
each me you press the-buon.
IMPORTANT: Changes to the X1-siren sengs can only be performed when
the X1-siren is in deacvated mode. If you try to make changes to the X1-
siren while the system is in the acvated mode, you hear three beeps.
As a general rule, three beeps always means that the X1-siren is not able to
process the input. Consult the instrucons for use in such case.
When the siren alarm sounds
When a sensor triggers an alarm in siren mode, the alarm sounds for 2
minutes. Then, the siren stops and the X1-siren returns into acvated mode
again automacally. The siren can also be stopped at any me with the
remote control. During an alarm, the LED of the respecve zone lights up
unl the alarm is switched off.
Stopping an alarm
There are two ways to stop the alarm when the siren sounds. Stop the siren
by pressing the Deacvaon-buon on the remote control.
Alternavely, you can also stop the alarm on the X1-siren by the following-
buon combinaon: Press 3 mes quickly the On/Off-buon followed
immediately by a quick press of the SET-buon.
5. Expanding your system
Expand the X1 system with Tiiwee door sensors and moon detectors from
the Tiiwee Home Alarm System. It is possible to add up to 10 Sensors
perzone. Up to 10 remote controls can be connected. Furthermore,
addional X1-siren units, as well as A3 outdoor sirens, can be connected by
combining the exisng sensors to the new sirens.

Connecng addional door sensors
This is an example of connecng a door sensor to zone 2:
De-acvate the X1-siren by pressing the SET-buon on the X1-siren or the
Deacvaon-buon on the remote control.
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon for 5 seconds. You hear a beep and
all four LEDs light up.
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon short two mes to select zone 2.
The LED of zone 2 lights up.
Acvate the door sensor by moving the magnet away from the sensor.
You hear two beeps, and the LED of zone 2 blinks twice.
Save the seng by pressing the On/Off-buon on the X1-siren briefly.
The door sensor is now connected to zone 2.
Connecng PIR moon detectors
Proceed as described with the door sensors in the previous chapter. Trigger
the device by moving your hand in front of the moon detector at a distance
of 50-70 cm. When performing the pairing procedure, make sure the moon
detector is facing downwards from you to avoid unwanted signals from the
device while pairing it to the X1-siren.
Connecng remote controls
Up to 10 remote controls can be connected to the X1-siren.
Please only use accessories from the Tiiwee Home Alarm System
to ensure a proper funcon of the system.

Pairing remote controls
Press the SET-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and all four LEDs
light up
Press one (any)-buon on the remote control(s) which you wish to
connect. You will hear two beeps for confirmaon of correct pairing.
Press the On/Off-buon shortly to store the sengs
The remote control is now connected to the X1-siren. In the following example procedure, all sensors from a zone are deleted and
reconnected to the new zone(s).
Below is an example for deleng the door sensor from zone 3 and connecng
this door sensor to zone 1:

Deacvate the X1-siren by pressing the SET-buon on the X1-siren or the
Deacvaon-buon on the remote control.
Deleng all sensors from zone 3:
Adding addional sirens to your system
The system can be expanded with more X1-sirens and A3-outdoor sirens.
Just connect your sensors and remote controls to the new X1 or A3 siren. A
new siren operates independently of exisng sirens.
Please refer to the below image which outlines the principle.
6. Deleng accessories or changing the zones
Clearing all sensors from a zone. Reconnecng sensor to a zone.
Sensors can be deleted from a zone by deleng all connecon informaon
for a zone. Any sensors thatyou would like to keep in that zone will need to
be reconnected to that zone again.
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon for 5 seconds. You hear a beep and
all four LEDs light up
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon short three mes to select zone 3.
The LED of zone 3 lights up.
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon for 5 seconds. This will delete all
sensors from zone 3. You hear four beeps to confirm, and the LED blinks
four mes.
Now, connect the door sensor to zone 1:
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon for 5 seconds. You hear a beep and
all four LEDs light up
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon short 1 once to select zone 1. The
LED of zone 1 lights up.
Acvate the door sensor by removing the magnet away from the sensor.
You hear two beeps, and the LED of zone 1 blinks twice.
On the X1-siren, save the seng by pressing the On/Off-buon briefly.
The door sensor has now been removed from zone 3 and reconnected to
zone 1.

Disconnecng remote controls
IMPORTANT: With this procedure, you disconnect all remote controls.
Please reconnect the remote controls if you wish to operate the X1-siren
through one or more remote controls.
Deacvate the X1-siren by pressing the SET-buon on the X1-siren or the
Deacvaon-buon on the remote control.
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon for 5 seconds. You hear a beep and
all four LEDs light up
On the X1-siren, press the SET-buon again for 5 seconds. You will hear
four beeps and all the LEDs quickly blink four mes.
On the X1-siren, short press the On/Off-buon to save the new sengs.
All remote controls are now disconnected from the X1-siren. To reconnect
a remote control, please consult the chapter “Expanding your system –
connecng remote controls”.
7. Baery lifeme, and low baery voltage
The expected baery lifeme of all system components is 10-12 months
under normal condions. We recommend to check the baeries regularly
and to replace them at least once a year. Please always use alkaline baeries.
Replace baeries when you noce the following:
X1-siren: You hear 3 beeps every 20 seconds.
Door sensors: The red LED light of the sensor is blinking or is connuous lit.
PIR moon sensors: The indicator light in the front lights up connuously.
PIR moon sensors: When the indicator light has been switched off
manually, the low baery indicaon will not acve. In this case, check the
correct operaon of the moon sensor at regular intervals.
8. Replacing baeries
X1-siren: Remove the screw at the boom of the back panel. Now, slide off
the back panel and replace the baeries with 3x AA size 1.5V alkaline
baeries.
Door sensors:
Remove the screw at the boom of the sensor. Now slide the sensor
upwards and remove it from the back panel.
Take out the old baery and replace it with a fresh AAA alkaline baery -
please note the correct polarity.
Slide the sensor on the back panel and secure it with the screw at the b
oom of the sensor.
PIR Moon detectors: Slide off the back panel and replace the baeries with
2 x AAA or 3x AAA baeries depending on the model.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES
9. Reseng the X1-siren to factory sengs
This procedure erases all informaon which is related to sensors and remote
controls.
Remote control: Remove the 3 screws onthe back of the remote control.
Open the remote control. Now, using a pin, nail or small screwdriver, li the
electronic board at the notch. This will give you access to the baery. Gently
remove the baery from its compartment by pushing it sideways. The
Take out one baery from the X1-siren.
While keeping the SET-buon pressed, re-insert the baery.
Aer a few seconds, you hear 10 beeps with longer intervals followed by
another 10 beeps with shorter intervals.
Now, release the SET-buon.
Now, the X1-siren restarts automacally.
baery type is CR2032 (3V, Lithium baery). Please also refer to the image
below:

Product Overview and Operaon
The door sensor consists of a magnet and a sensor which contains a detector
for changes in magnec fields (‘flux’). When the magnet is moved away from
the sensor, the sensor will detect that moon and will send a wireless signal
to the Tiiwee Alarm unit. The Tiiwee Alarm unit will now emit a powerful
alarm sound or a doorbell-sound (“Ding-Dong”) depending on the sengs
of the Alarm unit.

Installaon of Door sensors
General guidelines:
Do not install the sensor near magnets or magnec devices - this may
cause the alarm to be acvated accidentally.
Installaon examples
Various installaon examples are shown on the first page of this manual.
Make sure that both the installaon surfaces are clean and free from grease
and dust. It is essenal to respect the maximum distance of 5 mm between
sensor and magnet. Also, please assure that the triangle marks are aligned.
How to mount a door sensor (please see the inside of the front page)
Image 1: Door and doorpost are at the same level. Posion the sensor and
magnet next to each other and posion the triangle markers on the sides of
the magnet and sensor as such that they are close to one another.
Image 2: The door is protruding relave to the doorpost. Mount the magnet
sideways on the top of the door and posion the sensor with a few
millimetres distance on the doorpost and posion the triangle markers on
the sides of the magnet and sensor as such that they are close to one
another.
Image 3: The doorpost is protruding relave to the door. Mount the sensor
sideways on the doorpost and then posion the magnet on the door with a
few millimetres distance and posion the triangle markers on the sides of
the magnet and sensor as such that they are close to one another.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:
It is essenal that the sensor and magnet are aligned correctly and are
at the same level using the triangle marks.
The distance between the sensor and the magnet should not exceed
5mm.
Clean all surfaces carefully before installaon.
The magnet and sensor should be placed on the door and door frame
respecvely. The principle of the system is that an alarm is triggered
when thesensor and magnet are separated because the window or door
is opened.
If possible, mount the sensor on the door frame and not on the door or
window itself. This posion reduces the wear and tear that occurs when
windows and doors are closed (shocks). It increases the service life of
your sensors.
10.Window & door sensors
IMPORTANT: Please assure that the distance between magnet and sensor
does not exceed 5 mm. The triangles on the door sensor and the magnet
are alignment aids. They must face each other at a distance of a maximum
of 5 mm for the door sensor to work opmally.
Your X1-siren now has been reset to factory sengs. You can reconnect your
remote controls and sensors.

Installaon with double-sided tape: peel off the protecve foil from one
side and sck the tape onto the magnet. Then, peel off the other part of
the protecve foil and sck the magnet onto the door or doorpost.
Sensor:
Before installing the sensor, please assure that both the magnet and sensor
will be aligned as described in the chapter “How to mount a door sensor”.
Test your door sensor
1. Aer the installaon, open the window or door.
2. The red indicator light on the front of the sensor will flash once.
3. The sensor is now correctly setup.

Open the back panel to insert the baeries. Please note the correct polarity.
Now, close the back panel again. Slide the ball joint in place unl it locks. Do
not yet posion the wall mount. Please first carefully read the secons
“General installaon guidelines” and “How to mount a PIR moon sensor”
before you install the moon detector.

General installaon guidelines
Avoid posions close to a window, air condioners, fluorescent lights,
heaters, refrigerators, stoves, and direct sunlight and other places where
thetemperature would change rapidly, and where airflow is high. If there are
two detectors in the same detecng range, please adjust the posion to
avoid interference and false alarms.
IMPORTANT: The Infrared detector is sensive to a human’s horizontal
movement. The detector is less suscepble to vercal movements.
Therefore, it is advised to aim the device at a 90 degrees’ angle to a
person’s walking direcon.
How to mount a PIR moon sensor
Unlike magnec door and window sensors, PIR moon sensors recognize
heat differences. Somemes heat differences are unnoceable. Our PIR
moon sensors feature advanced algorithms that help to detect the
difference between a human being and environmental heat changes.
However, it is essenal to carefully select the right posion of PIR moon
sensors for it to funcon correctly.
Magnet:
Installaon with screws: remove the back panel from the magnet by
sliding it off. Then, posion the back panel at the desired posion. Now,
aer the magnet back panel has been mounted, put the magnet on the
back panel and slide it downwards unl it is in its final posion.
Sideways installaon and installaon with double-sided tape: Peel off the
protecve foil from one side of the tape and sck the tape onto the
sensor. Then, peel off the other part of the protecve foil and sck the
sensor onto the door or doorpost. Secure the sensor with the included
screw at the boom of the sensor.
Installaon with screws: Slide the sensor upwards and remove it from the
back panel. Then,posion the back panel at the desired posion. Now,
place the sensor on the back panel and slide it downwards. Secure the
sensor with the screw at the boom of the sensor.

When the detector indicator flashes
LED flashes once: A signal is detected, and the detector sends a signal to
the alarm unit.
LED connuously on: Low-voltage indicaon, please change the baery
as soon as possible.
Advanced features
The Tiiwee PIR sensor is equipped with some addional features to allow
you to adjust the device to your specific needs. To access these funcons,
remove the screw at the top of the sensor. Then separate the two parts
(front and back piece) by using an appropriate tool (screwdriver, i.e.). Now
you see the circuit board with the two switches.
1. The Indicator light can be switched off to save baery power (“Led off”
posion). In this mode, an alarm signal will sll be sent to the X1-siren.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the low baery indicaon is switched off
in this seng.
2. A waing me of 5 minutes between detecons can be set to save
baery power (“5 Min” or “5s” switch). Use the 5-minute waing period
when your PIR sensor is set to result in a loud siren alarm. We do not
advise to use this mode in combinaon with the doorbell-sound seng
on your Alarm unit.
Changing Factory Sengs
The factory sengs are “5s” and “Led On”. The sensor will respect a 5-
seconds waing me between 2 signals and that the LED indicator light will
always flash if a movement is detected. These are the most commonly used
sengs.
1. If both switches are set to the ON posion, as shown in picture 1, the LED
will flash each me a movement is detected. Aer each signal, a waing
me of 5 seconds allows a person to pass the detector without
triggering a signal connuously.
4. If both switches are in the “Off” posion, as shown in Figure 2, the PIR
sensor will respect a 5-minute interval between 2 different signals, nor
will the LED window flash.
2. If the top switch is set to “Off”, the detector will respect a 5-minute delay
before it will become acve again. This is a power saving mode. A
doorbell-sound sound seng on the Alarm unit is not advised with this
delay.
3. If the lower switch is set to “Off”, the Led light will not flash when a signal
is detected. This seng saves baery power. This seng can be used if
you want to avoid that a burglar is able to locate the moon detector in
the dark.
Low-voltage Reminder: The indicator light will be connuously on when the
voltage of the PIR is lower than 2.4V unless its light has been switched off by
seng the internal switches.

Therefore, we recommend installing the moon detector in a corner that is
void from any of thosefactors menoned above, and where the sensor is
directed at the room you want to guard.
Final installaon: Taking the above in consideraon, use the adhesive tape
or the screws to aach the wall mount to the wall. Now, aach the detector
to the wall mount, and change the detecng angle and distance by adjusng
the installaon height and the bracket. It is advised to install the device at a
height of approximately 2 meters.
Test
1. Aer the installaon, turn the switch to ON. Now, walk or move in front
of the PIR sensor at a distance between 3 and 6 meters.
2. The Indicator light should light up once. Note the 5 seconds delay
between 2 signals. The delay is normal and intenonal to save baery
power.
3. If needed, adjust the detector angle to get the desired detecon range.
