PreparingtheMachine

Procedure
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.Setthe
parkingbrake,turntheignitionoff,andremovethe
key.
WARNING
Ifyouleavethekeyintheignitionswitch,
someonecouldaccidentlystartthemachineand
seriouslyinjureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchbefore
youdoanymaintenance.
2.Raisethebed.Rotatethelatchrodupwardandraise
theboxwiththeotherhand.
3.Raisetheboxtoitsfullheight;thenloweritslightly
toengagetheproprod(Figure1).

2.Mounttheupperliftbrackettotheundersideofthe
boxwith6angeheadscrews(5/16x3/4inch)
fromloosepartsandremovedpreviously.Position
thebracketasshowninFigure4.

dash.Inserttheswitchintotheholeinthedash
(Figure9).
11.Replacetheshortbatterycableremovedpreviously.
Torquethenutssecuringallbatterycablesto120to
180inch-lb(13.5to21N⋅m).
12.CoatthebatteryterminalswithTorobatteryterminal
protector.
13.Presstheswitchupwardtoextendtheactuatorrod
untilitisalignedwiththemountingholesinthe

upperliftbracket.Securetherodtothebracketwith
thelargeclevispinandcotterpin.
14.Removethescrewsandclipsecuringtheproprodto
theframerail(Figure10).
