•Performthisprocedurewhentheengineiscold
andinawellventilatedarea.
•Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
WARNING
Gasolineisharmfulorfatalifswallowed.Long-term
exposuretovaporscancauseseriousinjuryand
illness.
•Avoidprolongedbreathingofvapors.
•Keepfaceawayfromnozzleandgastankor
conditioneropening.
•Keepgasawayfromeyesandskin.
1.Allowtheenginetocompletelycooldown.
2.Removetheaircleanercoverandtheaircleaner
fromtheengine(Figure1).

4.Removethetwoboltsholdingthefuelpumptothe
engine.Installtheboltsbackintotheholes.
5.Removethetwoboltsontheothersideofthe
engine.Savethesebolts
6.Installthenewbracketwiththe2newbolts
(Figure3).
7.Flipthefuelpumpoverandinstallthefuelpumpto
thenewbracketwiththe2boltsremovedfromthe
engine(Figure3).

9.Removetheshorthoseandclampfromthepump
andremoveitfromthecarburetor.Thereisno
clampatthecarburetor.
10.Removethehoseclampfromtheexistingshort
hoseandinstallitontothenewone.
11.Installthenewshorthosetothefuelpumpwhere
thepreviousonewasremovedandismarkedOUT
onthepump(Figure4).
12.Connecttheshorthosetothecarburetor.
13.Removethemediumsizedhoseandclampsfrom
thefuelpumpandfromthesideofthevalvecover
(Figure4).
14.Routethenewmediumsizedhosefromtheside
ofthevalvecover,throughthecarburetorbracket,
andtothemiddleportonthefuelpump(Figure4).
Installthehoseclamps.

15.Removethelongfuellineandclampfromthe
fuellter,whichislocatedontherightsideofthe
machine.
16.Removethelongfuelhoseandclampfromthefuel
pump(Figure5).
17.LoosentheR-clamponthemachineandremovethe
longfuelhose.
18.Routethenewlongfuelhosefromfuelpump,
behindthebatteryholddownclamp,throughthe
R-clampandtothefuellter(Figure5).
19.Installthefuelclampsontothenewlongfuelhose.
20.Installthelongfuelhosetothepumpwherethe
previousonewasremovedandismarkedINonthe
pump(Figure5).
21.Installthelongfuelhosetothefuellterwitha
clamp.
