RemovingtheExisting
RecyclingBafesfromthe
CuttingUnit
DANGER
Ifyouraisethemachineusingonlyajackto
supportitwhileyouworkunderthemower
deck,thejackcouldtip,causingthemower
decktofall,crushingyouorbystanders.
Alwayssecurethemachinewithatleast2jack
standswhenyouhavethemowerdeckraised.
Note:Thisprocedureisnotrequiredonmodels
shippedwithoutthecuttingunitbafesinstalled.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-control
leverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKEDpositionand
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheSLOWposition,
shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Removethenut,bolt,andspacersecuringthe
deckrollertothemountingbracket,andremove
thedeckroller(Figure1).
4.Removethecarriageboltsandnutssecuringthe
roller-mountingbrackettotheundersideofthe
mowerdeck,andremovetheroller-mounting
bracket(Figure1).
5.Removethecarriageboltsandnutssecuringthe
center,left,andrightbafestotheundersideof
themowerdeck,andremovethebafes(Figure
1).
