Youcanraisethefrontofthemowerandsupportto
accessunderthemachineformaintenance.
WARNING
Themachinecouldfallontosomeoneand
causeseriousinjuryordeath.
•Alwaysshutofftheengine,engagethe
parkingbrake,andremovethekeybefore
performinganymaintenanceonthemower.
•Useextremecautionwhenthemachine
israisedandsupportedonitsback.The
bladesandmovingpartsareexposedand
couldcauseinjury.
•Usethispositiononlyforcleaning,
removingbladesorbafes,and
maintenance.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
thePTO,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Removethebatteryfromthemachine;referto
theOperator’sManual.
4.Raisethemowerdecktothehighestposition.
5.Drainthefuelfromthefueltank;refertoDraining
theFuelT ankintheOperator’sManual.
6.Removethehydraulic-tankcapandplacea
pieceofplasticovertheopeningandinstallthe
cap.
Thissealsthehydraulictankandpreventsuid
fromleaking.

1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,andengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Repairallbentordamagedareasofmowerdeckandreplaceanymissingparts.
4.Cleanthemachineofanydebrisonthedecktoeaseinstallation.
5.Removetheexistingblades;refertotheOperator’sManual.

removethenut,knob,andwasherifacamlock
isnotpresent.
3.Removetheboltsholdingthebafesinplace
(Figure3).
Note:Savethebafesandhardware.
4.Afterremovingthedischargebafe,installthe
nutsandboltsbackintothemowerdeck(Figure
3).

Afterremovingthedischargebafe,installthe2carriagebolts(3/8x7/8inch)and2locknuts(3/8inch)back
intothemowerdeck(Figure4).
Retainthefastenersanddischargebafeforconvertingbacktosidedischarge.
