RemovingtheCuttingUnit
fromtheLiftArms
NoPartsRequired
Procedure
1.Positionthemachineonlevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunittotheoor,movetheliftlevertothe
FLOATposition,shuttheengineoff,andengage
theparkingbrake.
2.Removetheboltandwashermountedtothetop
ofeachheight-of-cutrod(Figure1).

IftheenginestartsandthePTOshaftrotates,
seriousinjurycouldresult.

1.Removetheexistingdriveshaftfromthe
machine.
2.PlacethenewCVdriveshaftinthelocationof
theoldoneandsecureitwith2bolts(3/8–16x
1–3/4inches),2locknuts(3/8–16inch),anda
rollpin(3/16x2–1/4inches).

1.Insertasupportrodintoeachendoftherear
tubeontheattachmentframe(Figure3).
Note:Makesurethethroughholeispositioned

2.Looselyattachthebottomofeachsupportrod
totheattachment-frametubewithabolt(1/2–13
x1inch),alockwasher(1/2inch),andaat
washer(9/16x1–3/8inches)asshowninFigure
3.
3.Positiontheattachmentframeunderthelift
arms.
4.MovetheliftlevertotheFLOATposition.Pusha
liftarmdownuntiltheholesintheliftarmlineup
withtheholesintheattachment-framebrackets
andthesupportrodscanbeinsertedintothe
liftarmpads(Figure3).
5.Securetheliftarmtotheattachmentframe
bracketswithaclevispin(Figure3).
6.Inserttheendofthehairpincotterintotheslot
intheattachmentframebrackettabtoretainthe
clevispin(Figure3).
