Positionthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andengageparkingbrake.
Raisetheboomsintothetransportpositionandremove
theignitionkey.
Ifyouleavethekeyintheignitionswitch,
someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengineand
seriouslyinjureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchbefore
youdoanymaintenance.

1.Attheoperator’sposition,turntheignitionkeyto
Ontoenergizethesystem.
2.Movetheboomsintopositionsothattheyarelevel
withtheground.
3.Removethekeyandexittheoperator’sposition.
4.Atthehinge,adjustthepositionofthebumpersso
theboomcannotmovepastlevelwiththeground.
Takecaretomakesurethebumperislevel.
5.Tightentheboltandnuttolockthebumpersintothe
adjustedposition.Torquethefastenersto135-165
ft-lbs(183-223N-m).
Note:Thebumpermayexperiencesomecompression
overtime.Iftheboomsdropbelowlevel,usethis
proceduretoreadjustthebumperpositionneeded.
