SureMark Point-of-Sale Printers.
Who should read this guide
This guide is intended for use by persons who are installing or testing a 4610
SureMark Three-Station Point-of-Sale Printer models TNx,GBx,GDxor GRx. This
guide should also be used for problem determination on the printer.

Chapter 1. Introduction
Available model designations
The SureMark Three-Station printers are available for fiscal and non-fiscal
applications. The various models are shown below with the model number
designations and the features that are included in each model. Refer to this chart
for details of the model numbers and the features associated with each model. The
references to the printers in this document that apply to multiple models of printers
are designated as TNx(for models TN3, TN4, and TN5), GRx(for models GR3,
GR4, and GR5), GBx(for models GB3 and GB5), GDx(for models GD4 and GD5),
GFx(for models GF3 and GF5), GGx(for models GG3 and GG5), Gx3 (for models
GB3, GF3, GG3, and GR3), Gx4 (for models GD4, and GR4), Gx5 (for models
GB5, GD5, GF5, GG5, and GR5), and Gxx (for models GB3, GB5, GD4, GD5,
GF3, GF5, GG3, GG5, GR3, GR4, and GR5).

Model TNxnon-fiscal printer application
This section lists the following non-fiscal 4610 Models:
Model TN3 Standard Model that supports receipt, journal, and document
printing.
Model TN4 High-function Models that feature check handling. Check handling
uses the MICR Reader and Check Flipper that are included in
these Models.
With one insertion of a check, the Model TN4 printer reads the
magnetic-ink-character line on the check, franks the check, and
prints the face of the check. While the printer is processing the
check, the operator is free to attend to the customer's needs, which
shortens the total transaction time.
Model TN5 A Model that supports receipt and journal printing. The TN5 does
not have a document insert station.
Model GRx,GBx, and GDxfiscal printer application
This section lists the following fiscal 4610 Models:
Model GR3 (Fiscal Printer)
An RS-485 printer Model that supports receipt, journal, and
document printing. This printer Model contains special hardware
and microcode required by certain countries.
Model GR4 (Fiscal Printer)
An RS-485 printer Model that supports receipt, journal, and
document printing and features check handling. Check handling
uses the MICR Reader and Check Flipper that are included in this
Model.
With one insertion of a check, the Model GR4 printer reads the
magnetic-ink-character line on the check, franks the check, and
prints the face of the check. While the printer is processing the
check, the operator is free to attend to the customer's needs, which
shortens the total transaction time.
This printer Model contains special hardware and microcode
required by certain countries.
