Safety Instructions
WARNING
Read, follow, and retain all of the following safety
precautions. Heed all warnings before operating the
Infotainment System.
Operating the Infotainment System or viewing its screen
while driving will distract the driver from traffic conditions
and may result in accidents. Only operate the Infotainment
System when the vehicle is stationary.
CAUTION
For safety reasons, some functions in Media, Navigation,
Phone, Apps, and all functions in Settings, which involve
complicated maneuvers or require prolonged attention,
will be unavailable while the vehicle is in motion (moving
at a speed above 0 km/hr). Unavailable icons or menus
will be grayed out.
If the Infotainment System encountered an error or is
showing signs of abnormality (producing noise, smell,
liquid, smoke, etc.), please shut it down and call service
center immediately.
Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the Infotainment
System in any way without authorization. Doing so may
damage the device and will void the warranty. Please refer
all servicing to your TOYOTA dealer.
Do not expose the Infotainment System to liquid,
excessive moisture, or dust. Such exposures may cause
the Infotainment System to short-circuit, emit smoke, or
catch fire.
Excessive use may damage eyesight. Please take a
10-minute rest after 30 minutes of usage.
Pay attention to children operating the Infotainment
System. Children 2 years or younger are prohibited to look
at the screen, while children over the age of 2 years are
allowed to look at the screen for no longer than 1 hour.
NOTICE
The Infotainment System is designed for use with vehicles
only.
When the Infotainment System detects any abnormality
that may cause damage to the audio system, it will
automatically mute all audio until the abnormality is
resolved. Please contact your local TOYOTA dealer if this
issue persists.

2Statements and Declarations
Adjust the volume to an appropriate level to avoid
damaging your hearing.
Do not use the Infotainment System for extended periods
of time with the engine turned off. Doing so will exhaust
the car battery.
Executing programs extends the response time. Do
not touch the screen repeatedly. It may cause the
Infotainment System to slow down or stop responding.
Avoid exposing the Infotainment System to direct sunlight
when not in use.
Do not exert excessive force when operating the LCD
screen.
Images on the LCD screen may become blurry,
distorted, or respond slowly under very low or very high
temperatures. Images may appear out-of-sync or suffer
in quality. Please note that these are not a malfunction of
the Infotainment System.
When the air conditioner is turned on, the sudden
change in temperature may cause excessive vapor
or condensation to form on the LCD screen. The
Infotainment System may be affected for a while. Wait
until the condensation clears, and the Infotainment
System will be back to normal.
Bluetooth may not fully support third-party applications
such as WhatsApp ™ , Facebook Messenger, WeChat ™ ,
etc. Only basic communication features on your phone is
supported.
Bluetooth audio player may not fully support third-party
music providers such as Spotify. Only MP3 files and basic
audio player on your phone are supported.
Bluetooth is a wireless communication technology.
Depending on external factors, problems such as delayed
feedback, intermittent noise, and other similar situations
are not uncommon.
If the volume of Bluetooth audio player or phone call is too
low or inaudible, check the audio volume on your phone.
There is a possibility some phones cannot be connected
due to Bluetooth communication protocol. This is entirely
caused by the compatibility of the phone, and cannot be
repaired by updating the hardware and software of the
Infotainment System.
The iPod feature requires the original USB cable provided
by Apple.
When using a USB drive in the Infotainment System for
the first time, it may take longer to read all files on the
USB drive.

Statements and Declarations 3
To avoid any problems during audio/video playback,
please use legitimate sources and correct format files.
Please refer to the
Appendix C
for more information.
If you encounter problems while playing audio or video
files on your USB drive, make sure all files are in the
correct format and that there are no unsupported formats
such as doc or exe files.
The Infotainment System does not support devices other
than smartphone.
Please use USB 2.0 compatible devices. USB 3.0 or newer
versions may not be fully supported.
Any damage caused by unsupported audio/video files will
void the warranty.
The USB port is used for multimedia playback only. It may
not work as a charging port for some phones.
If there are problems operating the Infotainment System,
please reset and restart the Infotainment System. Read
this manual for how to properly reset the system, or
contact local TOYOTA dealer.
System crash rarely happens but may still occur. When the
Infotainment System stops responding, the screen may
turn black or the touchscreen may not function properly.
Some of the common causes are screen connectivity
issues, firmware or recent software update, or installment
issues. Hold the power button for 10 seconds to reset
the Infotainment System when the vehicle is stationary,
and the Infotainment System should resume normal
operation. Do not touch the screen repeatedly.
This owner's manual is applicable to all vehicle models
of this series. However, some descriptions or features
described in the manual are dependent on the vehicle's
compatibility.
Any update or correction for this manual's content will
be published on the company's official website without
notice.
