The unit cannot add oxygen or remove carbon monoxide. Toxic substances (such as
carbon monoxide)contained in tobacco cannot be removed.
★DO NOT expose the unit to vapor or mist from
something like a humidifier or electric shock or failure
may result. (Use the unit so that the main unit is not
exposed to vapor or mist from a humidifier.)

DO NOT wipe the unit with benzene or paint thinner.
DO NOT spray insecticides on the unit.
Cracking, electrical shock and / or fire may occur as a
result.

Clean the Prefilter periodically (more than once every
two weeks).
If the Prefilter is continuously used and accumulates, an
excessive amount of dust, the Air Purifier may be subjected
to inflammation or malfunction. Be sure also to always use
the Prefilter for Air Purifier operation.
★DO NOT wash and reuse a dirty Semi HEPA filter
and/or activated carbon filter, which will result in an
electric shock or fire. Air cleaning function will not
recover even if the filters are washed.
★DO NOT use the unit with the intake and exhaust ports
blocked or obstructed; doing so will result in
deformation and/or failure.

DO NOT use in windy or breezy locations.
If the Air Purifier is installed near a door, wind or sudden
temperature changes from the door opening and closing
may cause the sensors to malfunction, affecting automatic
operation.

completely into the outlet to ensure proper contact.
Dust and dirt on the plug or incomplete insertion creates the

DO NOT pull the cord or the wire inside the cord will be
damaged resulting in heat or ignition.

If the Air Purifier is not used for a long time, remove the

five years or so.

press this button again during flashing.

●How to effectively install the Air Purifier
Install the Air Purifier in a high place (on a table) when cleaning relatively small-sized dust such as
Heavy smoke. Install the unit in a low place (on the floor) when cleaning large-sized dust such as
pollen.
●When installing it on the floor or on a table
Place it on the floor or table approximately 30 cm away from
the surrounding walls.
Open the rear cover for batteries by sliding it down and place them
in position. DO NOT place the batteries to the wrong poles (+and - ).
2 HOW TO INSTALL AIR PURIFIER (Choose a place where indoor air circulates well.)
3 HOW TO INSERT BATTERIES INTO THE REMOTE CONTROL
●The Remote Control is to be carefully used. If the Remote Control is dropped to the floor or
spilled with water, it may not be able to transmit the signal to the Air Purifier.
●The maximum signal range is about 7 m (front).
●If the Remote Control operation does not actuate the Air Purifier, replace both two batteries
(R03)D3 with the new ones. If the operation of the Air Purifier is still not normal, remove
batteries and, after an elapse of more than 5 seconds, return them into the Remote Control.
●The estimated life of the battery is approximately one year, if used with the normal condition,
provided that the battery of which service period is close to "recommended using period"
will have to be replaced shortly.
●The use of the wrong batteries may cause such dangers as liquid leakage and collapse.
Carefully read the precautions provided on the battery and take special care of the following
points for use.
●Care is to be taken not to mix old and new batteries nor to use the wrong kinds.
●If the Remote Control is not used for long time (more than one month), remove the batteries
from it. Should any liquid leakage be caused, remove the leakage completely and replace with
the new batteries.

1 HOW TO INSTALL THE FILTERS (Be sure to assemble Filters before using the Air Purifier.)

1Pull the front panel toward you and remove it while
pressing the right and left buttons at the bottom of
the main unit.

2Remove the Prefilter.

3Remove the Semi HEPA filter and activated carbon
filter in the bag from the main unit.

4Take the Semi HEPA filter and activated carbon filter
out of the bag and put the thinner activated carbon
filter behind the Semi HEPA filter, then mount the
Semi HEPA filter to the main unit according to the
mounting direction ↑with the yellow-cloth side to the
front. Mount the Prefilter, too.

5Align the nails located at the top of the front panel to
the main unit, and hang the front panel onto the right
and left hooks at the lower part.
★If the Semi HEPA filter and activated carbon filter are mounted incorrectly, the filters will not
work properly. Make sure that the yellow-cloth side of the Semi HEPA filter is in front.
★Dirty Semi HEPA filter and activated carbon filter cannot be reused even if they are washed.
Be sure to replace them.
★The Semi HEPA filter should be replaced about five years after opening the package. The
activated carbon filter should be replaced about two years after opening the package. The
replacement frequency depends on how long they are used or where they are installed.
●The lifetime of the filters will become very short in cases where they absorb oily smoke or
carbonized substances such as soot.

●During Automatic operation the AUTO Lamp (Green)lights together with a red lamp indicating the fan
speed.
■Lighting of the air quality lamp in the automatic operation mode.
●The air quality lamp will not light for three minutes after plugging in the power cord. (The three
minutes are required for preliminary operation of the sensor.) Automatic operation means standard
operation when the air quality is not lighting up.
●When air is dirty, the air quality lamp turns Red.
●The operation mode will change according to how many times the air quality lamp turns Red.
■The operation mode will be switched according to how many times the red lamp has been lit
(the more red lamps, the dirtier).

OPERATION PROCEDURE
The Room Mode is to select each mode depending on room size and room style.
The Room Mode can be set “Manual 4 levels” + “automatic” (During operation, any one mode will be set).
ROOM MODE OPERATION
1Press the Room Mode button more than 1 sec. in operation.
• The Room Mode will be on and the Room Mode Lamp will flash on the display.
• When the outlet is inserted for the initial period of time, this mode will start from “Living Room Mode”.
When the unit restarts, the previous setting is memorized and start the mode in operation.
2To switch modes, press this button again during flashing. Set at your desirable mode.
• The Room Mode will flash to light up after a period of time, and the Room Mode is set.
• To select a different mode, start the procedure from 1again.
• The operation does not start even if pressing the Room Mode button while in shutdown.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Return the Prefilter to the Front Panel.
★The Prefilter has no right side up.
Align the nails located at the top of the front panel
to the main unit, and hang the front panel onto the
right and left hooks at the lower part.
MAINTENANCE OF SEMI HEPA FILTER (LIGHTING OF FILTER LAMP)
●When the Semi HEPA filter is dirty, the filter lamp will light. If it lights, please refer to the
1HOW TO INSTALL THE FILTERS and replace the old and dirty Semi HEPA filter with a new one,
which is optionally available.
●Be sure to press the Reset Button after replacing the Semi HEPA filter and completing its
installation. Otherwise, the filter lamp will remain ON and the following filter replacement time
will not be indicated.
Activated carbon filter should be replaced every two years or so. Please replace with a new one when
the old one deteriorates and is unable to eliminate odors.

●When cleaning the main unit, wipe it with a soft cloth soaked in dishwashing detergent and dry
with a soft cloth.
★DO NOT use paint thinner, benzene or alcohol to avoid the degradation or discoloration of the body.
Wiping the unit with benzen or paint thinner may resuit in Cracking or Electrical Shock.

●Cómo instalar efectivamente el Purificador de Aire
Instale el Purificador de Aire en un lugar alto (en una mesa) cuando limpie polvo de tamaño
relativamente pequeño como humo Pesado. Instale la unidad en un lugar bajo (en el piso) cuando
limpie polvo de gran tamaño como polen.
●Cuando instale en el piso o en una mesa
Coloque en el piso o mesa a unos 30 cm de las paredes que lo rodean.
Abra la cubierta trasera de las pilas deslizando hacia abajo y colóquelas en su posición.
NO coloque las pilas con los polos al revés ( + y – ).
2 CÓMO INSTALAR EL PURIFICADOR DE AIRE
(Elija un lugar donde el aire de la habitación circule bien.)
3CÓMO COLOCAR LAS PILAS EN EL CONTROL REMOTO
●Utilice cuidadosamente el Control Remoto. Si se cae el Control Remoto al piso o se moja
con agua, no podrá seguir transmitiendo la señal al Purificador de Aire.
●El máximo alcance de la señal es de unos 7 m (frente).
●Si el Control Remoto no hace funcionar el Purificador de Aire, cambia las dos pilas (R03) D3
por otras nuevas. Si el funcionamiento del Purificador de Aire sigue sin ser normal, saque
las pilas y, después de transcurrir más de 5 segundos, vuelva a colocarlas en el Control
Remoto.
●La vida estimada de la pila es de aproximadamente un año, si se utiliza en condiciones
normales, siempre que la pila cuyo período de servicio esté cerca del “período de uso
recomendado” se cambie cuanto antes.
●El uso de pilas equivocadas puede provocar peligros como fugas de líquido y daño. Lea
cuidadosamente las precauciones en la pila y tenga especial cuidado con los siguientes
puntos de uso.
●Tenga cuidado de no mezclar pilas viejas y nuevas ni de tipos equivocados.
●
Si no se utiliza el Control Remoto durante mucho tiempo (más de un mes), saque las pilas.
Si se produce una fuga de líquido, elimine completamente la fuga y cambie por pilas
nuevas.

CÓMO INSTALAR LOS FILTROS (Asegurarse de armar los Filtros antes de utilizar el Purificador de Aire.)
★Si el filtro Semi HEPA y el filtro de carbón activado están mal montados, los filtros no
actuarán correctamente. Asegúrese de que el lado del paño amarillo del filtro Semi HEPA
está hacía delante.
★Los filtro Semi HEPA y los filtro de carbón activado sucios no pueden volver a utilizarse
aunque los lave. Asegúrese de cambiarlos.
★El filtro Semi HEPA se debe cambiar unos cinco años después de abrir el paquete. El filtro
de carbón activado debe cambiarse unos dos años después de abrirse el paquete. La
frecuencia del cambio dependerá del uso que se les dé y del lugar en donde se utilicen.
●
La vida útil de los filtros se volverán muy corta en los casos en los que absorban humo con aceite
o sustancias carbonizadas como hollín.
Saque el filtro Semi HEPA y el filtro de carbón
activado de la bolsa y ponga el filtro de carbón
activado más fino detrás del filtro Semi HEPA.
Después monte el filtro Semi HEPA en la unidad
principal, de acuerdo con la dirección de montaje,
con el lado del paño amarillo hacia delante. Monte
también el filtro Preliminar.

indica la velocidad del ventilador.
■Iluminación de la luz indicadora de la calidad del aire en el modo de funcionamiento automático.
●La luz indicadora de la calidad del aire no se enciende durante los tres minutos posteriores al
enchufado del cable (el funcionamiento preliminar del sensor tarda unos tres minutos). El
funcionamiento automático significa el funcionamiento normal cuando la luz indicadora de la calidad
del aire no está encendida.
●Cuando el aire está sucio, la luz indicadora de la calidad del aire se enciende de color Rojo.
●El modo de funcionamiento cambiará de acuerdo con las veces que se encienda la luz indicadora de

El Modo de Habitación tiene como objetivo poder seleccionar cada uno de los modos dependiendo de
las características de la habitación: tamaño y estilo.
El Modo de Habitación puede ser ajustado en 4 niveles manuales y en uno automático (durante su
funcionamiento no se puede seleccionar ningún modo).

El Modo de Habitación se activará y la Luz de Modo de Habitación se iluminará intermitentemente en
la pantalla.
Cuando se inserta el enchufe por primera vez este modo se inicia comenzando por el “Modo Salón”.
Cuando la unidad se vuelve a poner en marcha, se memoriza el ajuste previo y comienza a funcionar
en ese modo.

La Luz de Modo de Habitación se iluminará intermitentemente después de un periodo de tiempo
ajustándose el Modo de Habitación.
Para seleccionar un modo diferente, realice el procedimiento otra vez desde el primer paso.
Si el aparato está apagado no podrá poner en funcionamiento la unidad aunque pulse el botón Modo
de Habitación.
*1. Velocidad del Ventilador
La frecuencia del ventilador varía dependiendo del modo seleccionado incluso en el caso de que la
velocidad del ventilador ajustada sea la misma.

FUNCIONAMIENTO POR CONTROL REMOTO
1Presione el botón de Modo de Habitación con la unidad en
funcionamiento para seleccionar el modo que desee.
•
La Luz del Modo de Habitación se iluminará intermitentemente después de
un tiempo ajustándose el Modo de Habitación.
• Para seleccionar un modo diferente, realice el procedimiento otra vez desde
el primer paso.
• El modo cambia al presionar el botón.
*No es necesario mantener presionado el botón.
• Cuando se inserta el enchufe por primera vez este modo se inicia
comenzando por el “Modo Salón”. Cuando la unidad se vuelve a poner en
marcha, se memoriza el ajuste previo y comienza a funcionar en ese
modo.
• Si el aparato está apagado no podrá poner en funcionamiento la unidad
aunque pulse el botón Modo de Habitación.
